    The Village of Way's Rim put out the call for adventurers during the August Moon, and the threat has only gotten worse. It began two moons ago when all 4 of the serving wenches of the Blue Horse Tavern vanished without a trace in the same night. Since then, despite all efforts to the contrary, women continue to vanish while male adventurers are killed violently and mysteriously. As of now, 19 of the town's women and 9 female adventurers trying to help the situation have met the same fate - mysteriously vanishing during the night like a puff of smoke.

    The only real clue to what is happening is what happens to the men. Male townfolk and adventurers trying to get to the bottom of the disappearances don't disappear, they just turn up dead. Usually killed quickly - sometimes as soon as the first night they are in the town. One of the latest disappearences however did manage to leave an unintended clue, something that points to the founders of the town itself and might be the first bit of progress anyone's made this whole mystery...

    So I was reminded of this in a thread about pervy Dungeons and Dragons tropes and I thought I might try to dust off the notes to this old idea and see about getting a CHYOA going about it. What I'd love to see is some other writers hoping in as adventurer characters and we try this like a dungeon crawl. You'd probably go along your own story threads and I'd DM to cross relevent information of other characters over, or you chould try to tackle the problem yourself.

    Basic Premise - There's a small city at the edge of a massive Swamp called Way's Rim. It used to be considered a peaceful town, mostly a trade hub for the local farmers and the occasional adventurer, but over the previous months over 40 people have either vanished mysteriously or have been brutally murdered in the middle of the night, especially on nights with Full Moons. So far the only real clue is that there's been more female victims then male victims, but it's usually the male victoms that are brutally murdered while it's usually the female victims that disappear without a trace. Usually the female victims last longer.

    Your characters are all female adventurers answering the call to solve the mystery. You were either aware of the pattern and either didn't bring any male comrades, or you did but now they're dead.

    I do worry about balance if we freeform it, but I also don't want to have people that want to participate make full sheets either so I had an idea for how to partway with simplified game mechanics. So if you make a character this would be your sheet.

    ~~~~~~~
    Character Type:
    Attack -
    Damage -
    Skullduggery -
    Healing -
    Dodge -
    Parry -
    Physical Toughness:
    Mental Toughness:
    Penalties:
    ~~~~~~~

    Each of the top 6 stats is given a value 1 thru 6, with the catch that each has to be different. When your character does something relevent to one of those stats you roll a d6, and if you roll at least that high you succeed. For example, if your character has an Attack of 4 and swings a sword then if she rolls a d6 and gets at least a 4 she hits. If you roll a 1 on a roll, you try it again and if you fail the second time you Critically Fail and the penalty is doubled.

    There is one exception to this, whichever stat gets the 1 is treated as though there's a 2 in that stat except you can't Critically Fail in that stat. A mage-type character that attacks by throwing fireballs at opponents may put a 1 in Attack to show this, and if she rolls a 1 when throwing a fireball her spell still missed - but she is good enough with the magic that the spell won't bounce back and blow up in the face of her own party.

    Character Type is self explanatary but there are only 6 basic choices for the sake of mechanics. In-story you can have more variety but you need to pick either Melee-Fighter, Mage, Thief, Healer, Range-Fighter, or Unarmed-Fighter for the general basic type.

    Attack: Your chance to Hit opponents. How doesn't really matter whether it's with a sword, a bow, or a magic spell. Melee-fighter type characters can sometimes act like this stat is the next one down.
    Damage: Whether you get past your opponent's defences. Mage-type characters may get to roll this to attack a cluster of opponents at once in some circumstances.
    Skullduggery: Being sneaky and deceptful, like using steath to sneak past guards or lying to authorities. Thief-Type characters may have the ability to roll Skullduggery instead of Damage for opponents they catch off-guard if Skullduggery is better.
    Healing: Characters can, once per scene, roll to see if they get rid of a penality. Healer-type characters can roll to try to heal their whole party instead of just themselves in non-combat scenes.
    Dodge: The ability to get out of the way of incoming damage. Range-Fighter Types can roll Dodge and Attack at the same time.
    Parry: The ability to deflect damage after a failed Dodge. Unarmed-Fighter type characters can go further and damage opponents with a successful Parry roll.

    Physical Toughness: Calculated as 18 minus the Dodge and Attack stats added together. Can be adjusted downward with penalities. This is sort of like the character's HP. If this is ever 0, your character has been physically broken.

    Mental Toughness: Calculated as 18 minues the Skullduggery and Parry stats added together. Can be adjusted downward with penalties. Sort of a combination of Mental HP and Magic Resistance. If the result of one of these rolls is ever 0, your character has been mentally broken.

    Penalities: Representing Damage taken by your character. Usually when an enemy damages your character it's expressed as a basic number penalty. These are subtracted from their associated Toughness score. Getting hit with a club might give a 1 or 2 penality to Physical Toughness, hearing the insane mutterings of a madman might give a 1 or 2 penality to Mental Toughness.

    ~~~~~~~
    That's the general system, now for the specific stuff for this particular game. This will run a lot like a normal DnD game but most of the monsters, and a surprisingly high number of NPCs, have fallen under the sway of an extra-planar being that is absolutely obsessed with sex and breeding. As a result a LOT of the beings encountered by the players will either be trying to get the PCs to have sex with them or attempting to rape the PCs. Even creatures that normally have no such interest like slimes and shadows. With that in mind, there's a few adjustments.
    The Beast Below: A powerful extra-dimensional being obsessed with Sex and Breeding, followers of the Beast Below will usually try to avoid killing female opponents - prefering to rape and impregnate them if they can. A Follower of the Beast Below will know when a PC has a low Physical Toughness and usually stop using lethal damage and go for the capture instead. The first time a PC's Toughness Roll results in a Zero in a scene, the character is considered grappled instead of dying or dead.
    Virile: Monsters will usually try to rape instead of kill female PCs. The compatable ones will have a Virility Score, usually 1 thru 3. When they successfully rape a female PC to completion they roll that many d6's, if the result is higher then the PCs physical toughness they successfully impregnate the female PC.
    Broodmares: If a female PCs Mental Toughness is brought down to 0, she might be a victim of what's considered to be a fate worse then death. That as a broodmare for the worshippers of the Beast Below, forever altered to being a lustful mother of monster babies for the rest of her existance. [With permission of player.]
    Player Characters are also encouraged to take at least one trait listed below and can reduce a stat by 1 for doing so.
    Chaste: Female PC is a virgin and/or has taken a Vow of Chastity that is as of yet unbroken. Character gets a +2 bonus to resist any attack with a sexual angle, but takes a Penality of 4 to Mental Toughness if they ever do have a sexual encounter, consensual or otherwise. Chaste can not be taken at the same time as Pervert, but can be dropped or traded out for Pervert during saves against sexually inclined attacks. If Chaste is just dropped, the 4 Mental penality is still taken.
    Fertile: Female PC is particularly Healthy and Fertile. When rolling to heal only herself, a Fertle PC gets a +1 bonus. However, if inseminated by a compatible male he gets a +1 bonus to Virility.
    Pervert: Female PC is secretly (or not so secretly) sexually primed pretty much at all times. The character always fails Mental Toughness checks that have a sexual element, but resulting penalities of all such attacks are reduced to 1. A female PC can not be both Chaste and a Pervert.
    Fetish: Female PC choses Humanoids, Animal-Men, or Tentacle Monsters. Sexual encounters involving males that aren't her chosen type get a +2 bonus to all saves, but sexual encounters involving males that are her chosen type get a -4 drawback to all saves.
    With the categories of creatures for Fetish, I'm assuming it works like this:
    Humanoids: Orcs, Goblins, Elves (evil Elves), corrupted Humans (those that haven't been torn to bits) etc.
    Animal-Men: Hello, furry porn. Lizardmen, Catmen, Dogmen etc.
    Tentacle monsters: Pretty much self explanatory.
    Also, I'd be interested in playing.
    Animal-Men includes Minotaurs, and I haven't figured out where Satyrs fall. lol. Let's see whose up.
    It certainly sounds interesting (and impregnation is one of my kinks :)).
    One question: This is in the story ideas rather than the RPG forum. Would this be a story on the main site or a PBP on the forum?
    Experimenting with main site but with more writers from the start.
    Hmmm....Okay. It may be just a little bit odd, because we'll be posting a chapter, then waiting for you to post a DM chapter. Which i guess would be the same as a PBP, but we're looking at fairly short chapters all around. During combat, there's going to be maybe a paragraph's worth of content(there's only so much you can do to describe what action you're taking during a 6 second interval) and the same goes for the monster/npc turns. Even sex may be just a couple of paragraphs stretched out over several chapters as our characters(written by us) react to whatever the monster is doing to us(written by you, the DM).
    Of course, there have been plenty of people who have submitted one sentence chapters to me for my stories, so maybe it's not a big deal.
    I agree with merkros. This would be so much easier to do as a PbP.
    I wasn't really trying to push for a PbP game(although you might get more interest there in the RPG section). I was just noting that it might be a bit of an odd format for a mainsite story.
    Ultimately it's up to TheVillain and what he wants to do. I would be willing to give either format a shot.
    I agree it would be easier, just pondering it as an experiment.
    The picture link in the first post appears to be broken. "Error cannot create thumb".
    Suggestion: You could start on the forum, and write a story from it later.
    This could be an interesting take on it. do the sexy PBP RPG, then juxtapose out all of the RPG stuff and change it to a consistent perspective and you'd have a story.
    I'm going to try and help resurrect it.
    Character Type: Healer (Druid)
    Attack - 2
    Damage - 5
    Skullduggery - 3
    Healing - 1
    Dodge - 3
    Parry - 6
    Physical Toughness: 13
    Mental Toughness: 9
    Penalties:
    Fetish: Female PC choses Humanoids, Animal-Men, or Tentacle Monsters. Sexual encounters involving males that aren't her chosen type get a +2 bonus to all saves, but sexual encounters involving males that are her chosen type get a -4 drawback to all saves. Fetish is: Animal-Men
    Character is only stats right now, but I know what she'll become.
    Going to need more, and leaning back to PbP at this point.
