“That was different.” She didn’t bother explaining how. “Besides, the rules of all of that stuff’s changed. You’ve saw we got actual demons running around, right? Well, makes you wonder what we even still need humans for. How’s that been working out?” She knew for a fact they were losing a territory war with the influx of literal supernatural opponents that they were already having trouble with a relatively uneasy alliance when there was just humans to worry about. And she was confident that while probably with a lot of difficulty, her mother was still probably going to eventually emerge in a stronger position. But still- “Everyone knows pretty much mom alone is the whole reason you’re not getting in the ass by some orc right now.”
S'ut grit her teeth as she took the answer. This was not what she wanted to test... let it go, at least for now. "What's the task?" She asked as she addressed her daughter, her tone tense.
Sasha considers herself lucky. She gets to be relatively isolated from the worst parts of this city and gets paid pretty well. Naturally, she doesn't feel that different in her new job. She's always been a dedicated career woman, after all. But as she walks into her boss's office, she realizes things aren't all good. There's a reason she got picked to be his personal assistant, after all. "Good morning, Mr. Blue." She says softly, before leaning in to look at the photos.
The two look at each other, fear obvious on their faces, but they look back at him with determination. "We'll do what we have to." Alex says.
Together, Adam and Lily find a piece of pipe thin enough to slide into the door gap. The pipe breaks, but so does the lock, and the door swings open. Beyond, Lily sees a typical looking apartment building - though very run down, with chipped tiles and exposed wooden boards in the wall. Looking at the stairs, she sees that the steps have holes in them, but they should be stable enough to walk on. Looking up, she wonders whether it's better to just head up to the roof - the faster way to her goal - or to look around the lower floors to check for any threats that could creep up behind her, though that would take time.
The cops all seem satisfied with Pauline's strategy. Alternatively, she noticed a window cleaning cart on the exterior of the building - the marksman could potentially get down quickly that way, though it would leave them a little exposed.
Carnie bares her tusks as his palm ruffles her hair, rolling her eyes as Robbie departs without knowing where to go. By the time he realises his error, he hears a woman screaming - he wonders whether to investigate, or just head back to the gym to get the location.
Adamson stands over Julia's desk, his obscene musculature and height quite literally casting a shadow over her. "You're a real trooper, huh?" He nods, sitting down across from her. "What you know about the case? Got leads? Somewhere to start?"
"T-Thanks..." The elf sniffles a little, as fire surrounds the dragon-kin. She glares, but doesn't resist as a group of half-ogre bouncers approach to 'guide' her out of the premises.
"Oh, that does it..." The punk snarls. "Mom or not, I don't care - let's go outside and settle-", his arm is grabbed by the lieutenant. "Let's go." He pulls the young man away. "You sure know how to make friends..." A woman chuckles behind the young Payne, and turning, she sees her high school friend, overachiever and Miao Payne's favourite example of 'why can't you be more like her', Yui. After the crisis, the young woman had accepted Xue's offer of refuge in Triad territory, but recently she's been spending more time with mother than daughter. "Or was that your idea of flirting?"
Pauline noticed window cleaning cart, but decided not to use that. They as police squad in uniforms would leave clear message for the gang and would provoke them to attack police station. Sadly forces of the gang would be almost equal to forces of the police, so better for them to stay out of trouble. "Okey then, Thomas". She said to one of her men "Take binoculars and watch gang and inform us of some of them ride away. We will wait in the next room to make less noise". She said as they go to next room. Pauline heavy sigh and smiles to her men. "It will be fine, now we have to waiting a little". She sit on the ruined chair next to simple table and pull out deck of cards. "Anyone want to play round or two guys? It will take a while". She said, smiling to memories when they play in the private houses or the bar, with variety of stakes. Once she ended naked and embrassed, with only police hat on head, and has to spend reast of the night shielding her breast and pussy with hands as rest of group makes jokes and drinks. Good, old days...
Alay'ut smirks, victoriously. "Scouting mission. Some of our sisters reported hearing talk of some kind of beast coming from the direction of the Park. Our sister wants to make sure it's not coming towards us."
"And what a good morning it is..." Blue chuckles as she leans in. His rough hand presses against her rear, squeezing through the fabric of her skirt to grope the soft flesh beneath. Looking at the photos, she sees a computerized system - a rather fancy one, dated to right before the crisis. "Think you could get through that?" Blue asks, his fingers moving south, to lift her skirt.
Satisfied that the dragon-kin was escorted out without incident, he returned to looking at the elf. "Now then, relax and enjoy your night and make sure you have someone to take you home if you're not within walking distance. I hate to see pretty girls get in brutal accidents."
I flipped a coin IRL. Hearing someone in trouble in ABC turf, especially so close to the bar, Robbie sprints towards the screaming woman's direction. What kind of Enforcer could he call himself, if he let someone under Patriarch Fleshrippa's protection go unprotected?
“Him? Ew, no!” She took up a quick defensive stance as a reactionary measure to show her form as she partially lifted her knee and moved her arms in a readying position. “I could have took him though.” She was fairly adamant but went to a more neutral pose, as she gave a smile to her friend. Slightly shrugging off some internal annoyance she couldn’t be quite as smart as her, but it was rare to find that many friends who didn’t get worried about her parents. Miao was the tactician and fist that kept the boys disciplined, and Adrian….well…she hasn’t seen it, but rumor has it he’s referred to as “The Fixer.” For most of the locals, they were dangerous people. For Yui, they were somewhat embarrassing if not normal enough parents, when she was there. As Yui offered her a seat near the table, it would at least help kill time with house arrest. “You should have seen it. It was really cool! He was all “Do you know whose territory you’re on?” And I was all “Nothing is out the dragon warrior’s reach when it comes to justice!” Then he- Yue rambled a bit reciting the details of her misadventures for the day. Though she began to cool down a bit, and steer the conversation to other things. School life had taken somewhat of a turn now all things considered, but she still enjoyed the social circle she made. “-and you know Blair is hitting up Soren? So fucking awkward. She- Most of their conversations were like this. Usually Xue did most of the talking while every now and then Yui chimed in. That was their dynamic. Generally, Yui didn’t seem to mind. Though eventually Xue began to talk herself out looking a little more serious. It wasn’t like she was jealous exactly, but Yui did seem to get treated more like a daughter by her mother at times than she did. She knew her friend at least understood enough that Xue’s nonsense wasn’t motivated by just recklessness and stupidity. She was, in her eyes, trying to follow what she saw as her mother’s example of being someone so great. Yui was even well aware of the bizarre sense of complex Xue had for Miao. By her own account, Xue described herself as “super fucking gay for my mom.” Though even Yui wasn’t totally how she meant it. But naturally the subject had to flow back to her mother. “-why couldn’t she at least put me somewhere that wasn’t so boring?”
After a moment of consideration Lily decided it would be best to just head up. This place seems to have been abandoned for quite some time – it is unlikely that anyone is here, or that anything of value is left. Wasting time searching might end up attracting attention from outside instead. “Let's head up,” She whispered to Adam, to make sure they are not overheard, just in case, “it's unlikely that anyone is here, but regardless, keep an eye on behind us, just in case. Let me know if you see anything suspicious.” After getting a nod in confirmation she began slowly and carefully climbing up the damaged stairs. She avoided the holes and tested each spot before putting her full weight on it, slowly but surely making her way up to the roof.
He Takes another sip of His Drink before setting it aside as He leans Back. The two Young lowlife Criminals wouldnt come far but they might prove useful errand Runners...however He wouldnt have Shirley Babysit both of them. He knew how she hates to have too many Rookies under her Wing... "Very well then. As so it happends one Spot is free in My Ranks. Only one..." He Looks between both of them with a slight Smile.
Julia frowned at the officer's question. "Not particularly. The disappearances have been largely decentralized and happen all over the city. Over the past year nowhere has seemed safe, parks, police ground, gang territory, religion row, even that government research center set up in Hyde Park, all of them have had disappearances. It suggests either some sort of city-wide conspiracy or a highly mobile operation. Since most gangs have reportedly lost women we can surmise that whomever is doing it wants to remain hidden otherwise they would have united all of the warring factions against them. "Recently disappearances have been reported in Slade Slums to the north-west, by the river. I was thinking I would start there."
"Y-yes, sir! This is what I was hired for originally, after all." Sasha steadies herself on the desk as she feels her boss's wandering hands. She wonders how far he'll go this time. "What am I looking for, exactly?" She knows that Mr. Blue is involved in some pretty serious stuff, but what would he want with this computer?
