I feel like everything I draw comes out in varying levels of quality, but I guess that's what you get when you only draw once every few weeks. It depends on what. I would feel guilty to charge for a doodle drawn up in a few minutes. But for an image like the ones above I'd charge £5-10; slightly more if you want more detail, backgrounds, additional characters, etc.

Nice art! I've been wanting to draw a little bit for some of my stories like Easter eggs, but it takes a lot of dedication to both write and draw for a story. That's pretty cool!
It's easier to think of a single picture as being equivilent of a single, though extensive, chapter. Of course, everyone is different, but for me, a chapter with an illustration takes the same amount of effort as two chapters. I think illustrations really add to a chapter, as it can show things that are impossible, or are really difficult or vague, to explain. So I think you should go for it, try it at least once; I'd definitely check it out if you did. And uh, if you need someone to make a few illustrations... *wink wink wink*
