Guys, I have been working on this story, where you choose one character out of many at the very first chapter that you're interested in and it goes on. The problem is, the setting, or the background of the story's world is kind of sophisticated and I have been bothered by the cycle of "starting a new character branch" --- "having to explain the story's settings and rules as the story progresses", which is getting somewhat hideous.

Of course, I have been considering listing a bunch of story backgrounds & settings on the very first chapter so that I wouldn't have to explain any further, but I think it's gonna be super boring to read through and I assume most readers just want to get to the good stuff and skip the shenanigan.

    Any advice? Thanks a bunch!

Write all the setting or background intro and rules into a single chapter and just link to it.

Wow I haven't thought of setting up a link, thanks! Think I'll give it a shot.
