    Name:
    Anai
Faction: Egyptian city of Nane, governor
    Age: 41
    Personal Equipment: Clothes, knife
History: Anai is the governor of Nane city. She is known for her slutty and lecherous nature, to sleep around with other men and women.
Yet there is deviousness under that image, for she managed to hold onto the power in the city, while her opponents either acknowledged her, met with accidents, were enslaved or died. Even those who thought that they gained control over Anai and had her thoroughly dominated had met their end.
Ten years ago, when her older sister Ouei was a governor, a Roman general Quintus Valerius Pesca arrived at the city with a mission to make the city of Nane Rome's ally. Yet at the time, Carthage was winning the war. Ouei and Anai both tried to seduce the general - their intention was to poison him and present his head to Carthage. But the general has caught up on their scheme, and Troy's descendant was not someone who could be easily defeated. That plot failed, but all of the man's bodyguards have died. Capturing him after that, was easy.

Both sisters decided to have some fun with the man before they killed him. They took pleasure tormenting him, whipping him, teasing him. They enjoyed the man's body, as he was well gifted by the gods.
After hours of torment, they left the man in his bondage, while the two sisters got to the bed and started enjoying each other's bodies until they both climaxed. As the two women fell asleep in each other's arms, the general broken free from his bindings. He tied both of the sisters, while they were asleep and then proceeded to fuck both of them for hours until both women passed out from the intensity of his lovemaking. After he was satisfied, he secured Anai in bondage, with a small statue of Roman consul staffed into her pussy. He then tied Ouei, gagged her and put a chain around her neck, then he used her as a hostage to escape the city.

Before leaving, Quintus swore to Anai, that he would return, and exact his vengeance on her for his fallen comrades. Later that year, Anai gave birth to General's daughter.

The daughter of Quintus and Anai. She was groomed to be a leader, taught administration, history and intrigue. Anai personal taught her the art of seduction and sex, training Taia to be a skilled seductress and lover.
Taia is not without ambitions of her own. Seeing the inevitable fall of the city, she started plotting to make most of the situation... and she would not hesitate if it would mean throwing her mother under the chariots.

Now, years later, the very general now siege that very city, with intention of revenge against Anai. Anai, on the other hand, swore to kill the general and avenge her sister.

As the siege came to conclusion, Anai sees that her city is slowly falling and all ways of escape, blocked. She sees her very own allies plotting against her. Yet she has no intention to go down. She deploys seduction, treachery, bribery, intrigue and plots to keep her allies in check and to deal with the enemy. All she needs to do is to kill the general and her city would have some time to recover.

I don't know if I'll go with any of these. Just placing them down for now.

    Name: Marcus Icunus/Valeria Assania
    [IMG]
    Faction: Roman Empire
    Age: 26
Personal Equipment: Heavy Armor, Spear, Shield. Emergency first aid tools, bandages(Keeping the goods under wraps.)
History: Cut your hair, wrap down the important bits, wear armor, and when the fighting and marching starts, nobody has time to really pay any attention. At least in the army, a living can be made. As opposed to not joining and staying at the bottom of the ladder? Not going to do that.

Eager, to make a life for herself out of the military life as much as possible, Valeria didn't let the restrictions to using female soldiers, dissuade her. Under her guise as Marcus, she made a decent life for herself. She's gotten really good at dirtying herself up a bit to blend with the guys and (rarely) prettying herself up when she absolutely needs to. While not possible to remain in armor constantly, she's well practiced at imitating the voice right and keeping her better features under lock and key. Given how easy it is for soldiers to make fun of Marcus's "Girly looks", it's easy to shrug it off as the reason "he" prefers wearing "his" armor. A handful of course, simply choose not to say anything given she's a valuable soldier and most recently, a Centurion.

While smart and calculated enough to do so in the most careful manner, she's got a reputation for pursuing the enemy relentlessly, long after it stops being practical and just a drain on resources. She's still shown marked success thanks to her tactics and improvising, but has sustained quite a few unnecessary defeats due to her refusal to stop once the fight begins.

    Name: Kanika Gararai
    Faction: Egyptian
    [IMG]

Personal Equipment: Priestess robes, ceremonial dagger, poisons, blank scrolls

History: Fourth noble daughter pawned off to the temple, like many others, the life was more or less what people expected it to be. Temple priestess, engineer, healer, and speaker of multiple languages, she does a lot of things. The education the temple provides is almost next to none, and with access to the library's they preserve, she's gotten good at knowing lot's of things. Intelligent and sociable like any good servant of the gods, her skills are excellent, leaving a lot of people coming to her to ask for her advice. Not to mention, her position leaves her knowing a lot more dangerous secrets about people than she should. Not that she really plans on using them....but...she could if she really wanted to.

As far as the Egyptian religion goes, it has to be one of the best ones. At least, she thinks so. Compared to the foreigners with their repressed and restricted beliefs, the more freeing Egyptian doctrines are fare more appealing to the people born to be raised under them, and perhaps to foreigners too. She doesn't really have a place in war and doesn't aspire to, but fears losing the freedom of religion(At least longer being the dominant one) where they'd either have to repel the Romans, or be forced to practice in secret and slowly convert the city again that way. Historically, kingdoms rise and fall. That's just the way of things. But their culture will not die out. Aiming to teach and expand their ways to the invaders, she doesn't hope to beat them by force, but instead, expand and open their minds to get them to adopt their ways to bring back home with them. And almost any sin can be forgiven as long as it achieves the end results of worshipping the gods. Who cares how you get there if it will be for the greater good in the end?

    Name: Cassandra
    [IMG]
    Faction: Rogue Defector(Ex Greek/Roman?)
    Age: 39
Personal Equipment: Plate armor, sword, shield. Possibly more to be added.
History: There's ways around a lot of things. While women aren't typically allowed military roles, if someone were to happen to marry a high ranking enough commander then technically, hypothetically, they could be allowed to take their place. Failing that, mercenary outfits suffer no such restrictions. Doing both, working as a mercenary captain in the employ of the Empire and marrying a high ranking officer, she wasn't technically serving under them directly, even if she was issuing commands from time to time. Rumor has it, she was still in the battlefield, even while still having her first kid. Though her reputation is (probably)exaggerated, a lot of the results speak for themselves. White Thorns do not fuck around. Not only that, but her time as a merc hardened her to be willing to resort to tactics on and off the battlefield to cripple opponents before fights began. Skills of a warrior and a scoundrel, she's just as comfortable stealing and forging orders to scramble enemy troops as she is flaying them.

Typically, while they have many talented soldiers, her skills for subterfuge are mainly what they tend to use the most. She had arrived to Egypt well before the war to spy and gather information long before the official battle was declared. What was unexpected for everyone including herself, was suffering a near fatal injury that lead to her being saved by the temple priests and her falling in love with the country. Truthfully, she doesn't truly believe they can seriously defeat the Roman Empire, but she's adamant that she's going to try. With her ragtag band of misfit mercenaries behind her and grateful to their commander being spared, stood their ground against the Romans too and she's proven her skills at mind games and swordsmanship are a deadly combo.

Establishing herself as firmly on the side of Egypt after her defeat of Centurion Marcus's legion by exploiting his need to pursue the enemy by outmaneuvering and whittling him down through attrition before finishing it with a direct engagement, that was enough to pacify most people's base distrust of the foreigner, though there's still more than a few who treat her with suspicion. Her new allegiance did not leave her popular at home either, now with her husband, grown up son now serving the Empire and her rumored half brother to name a few people left with a bad taste in their mouths. While she has seen a number of victories against the Empire in skirmishes, she ultimately fears all she's really doing is just pissing them off without making any real dents into the enemy army.

So those are a few ideas I have. I don't know which one looks good or I should do. But I was wondering @Tjf , if I went with Cassandra, if she would work with as a half-sister to the general, perhaps? I dunno what I'm doing yet anyway.

    Quintus Valerius Pesca
    Faction: Roman Republic
    Age: 39
Personal Equipment: Immense wealth, quality armour, loyal slaves
    [IMG]
Ouei (left) - Nane's former leader, is the head of Pesca's slaves. Utterly broken, her obedience to her master is beyond question, following his every command in the hope that he'll reward her by sating her lustful needs.

Aphrodite (right) - Ouei's daughter, conceived on the night of her mother's capture by Pesca. Having lived each of her 19 years under her father's rule, his word is absolute to her, and though she's lived a life of luxury as Pesca's daughter, she has begun to desire more from her life than to be a favoured slave
    History:

    "Nane delenda est"
    - Quintus Valerius Pesca

The heir to the Valerii Family, one of Rome's great houses, Quintus has made his way up the Cursus Honorum, gathering political and military authority in his bid to become a consul of Rome.

The Roman aristocrat's early career went like most do, a mix of political offices and minor military commands, until the fateful day he was appointed as a diplomat to the Egyptian colony of Nane, in an effort to recruit them as allies against Carthage, during the build up to the First Punic War.

At first, things seemed to go well. Pesca and his bodyguards were greeted to the city like royalty, with cheering crowds lining the streets, beautiful slaves at their beck and call, and an elaborate banquet held in their honour.

The bodyguards dug into their food, and enjoyed the company of the slaves, but Pesca himself abstained, the ease of Nane's submission setting off a streak of paranoia in him. His suspicions were of little use, however, when his men began to die all around him, poisoned. With glee, Ouei, the city's governor, informed Pesca that his head would be given as a gift to the Cathaginians.

The young Roman was captured, brought to the bedchamber of Ouei and made to pleasure her and her sister, Anai. The experience set something off in Pesca, a hidden desire to conquer and dominate, and he managed to escape his bonds, before roughly gripping the two women and fucking them into unconsciousness, before taking Ouei as a hostage and escaping.

Returning to Rome, Pesca was lauded for his escape, and served in the army during the First Punic War, gaining a reputation as a fierce commander, and a wily schemer. Now that the Carthaginians are defeated, he returns to Nane at the head of three legions, to gain his revenge.

    The Roman Army:

The Roman force laying seige to Nane is under the overall command of Praetor Pesca, and is comprised of three legions:
Roman Legionaries are trained, disciplined foot soldiers with experience fighting the Carthaginians. Each legion is made up of 5500 men

Also on the Roman side are several thousand Celtic warriors, originally mercenaries serving Carthage, before Pesca convinced them to join Rome instead.
Recruited in Spain and Gaul, these warriors, considered barbarians by the Romans, make up the bulk of the Roman cavalry. They're poorly disciplined when compared to the Romans, but are fierce, and deadly in a charge. Given that they betrayed their former masters, and are working primarily for coin, their loyalty is not beyond questioning.
Finally, in the Roman camp are thousands of non-combatants.
[IMG]Officer's wives, administrators, spies, merchants, whores and slaves. These people do little or no actual fighting, but are nonetheless absolutely critical to the success of the Roman army. Because of this, many enjoy rich rewards in power, wealth, and special missions only they can do.
(Just some ideas for characters you can create. By all means, though, don't feel restricted by this.)
