So further to this thread I thought it good to make a suggestion for a separate genre for Transformation stories separate from the Transexual one since they are not really the same thing. As I said in that thread there is a big difference between stories about someone getting turned into another gender against there will and someone living in the gender they feel is right for them.
Agreed, and if the multiple genres idea was implemented there would be plenty of room to combine the two, without them precisely overlapping: say someone in a D&D based fantasy world wanted to become a full transexual, maybe dip a toe in with a Girdle of Opposite Gender...? It is exceedingly rare for a person to become transexual and regret the decision, but it's been known to happen, how much better then if there were an option for a kind of 'trial run' before the full body transfer or the like...?
I support this, I've avoided that category, but I've enjoyed one of the big stories on here: '48h as a Girl'.
