I am no artist, but below are two photoshopped pics I put together that I am rather pleased with. First, the cover to my "Sex, Love and D&D" story, done in the old 1980's TSR module style. Next, a picture of Sophie Howard about to face justice, from a story I haven't posted yet.
I like them both but the D&D one just edges it. Please don't ever tell me how you did that, I spend far to much time messing around with pics, and now Gifs, as it is!! LOL
Damn, those are awesome... I'm almost tempted to ask you to do a cover for my story, because the one I've got is good, but kinda generic... Perhaps we can work out a thread for art deal...
Again, you must be my evil twin! Or, the good one, which is probably the more likely. I have spent hours searching to find the right picture instead of writing.
Hmm, that is tempting. Again, my graphic design skills are only match by mine grammar and speling abilities. However, I do love a challenge. What do you have in mind?
If Possible... I was hoping for something that looked like an Old School Choose Your Own Adventure Novel. With the old school "Things that are in the Book on the Cover"... The main things being an Apple, a Teal Bus, and an amused looking Goddess of Chaos. I know, kinda a tall order, but I'll try to write a thread or Three to order in return on whichever story you like. References: http://www.joeydevilla.com/2006/03/13/66-choose-your-own-adventure-book-covers/ Thought #69 would be an appropriate number for it. ;P (Oh Yeah, complete with the "Choose from # Endings", because I don't want to nail myself down on that yet.)
Ack... Sorry, thought I was clear. It's for "A Special Hell" which right now has a generic foursome picture. Which is hot, but... the story's kinda batshit insane and hence, want a cover that matches that, which were the old CYOA books. Edit: ACK, I'm a freaking idiot, totally read that wrong. Any of them really have the style that I'm looking for. Bunch of images, tossed together with the frame. You know, something that looks like whoever was doing it had a few ideas they were told to do which were in the story, and tried valiantly to make sense of it. Just had the idea of an amused goddess looking over a bus, a few random faces that are obviously an artists rendering of a couple folks that sorta fit, and something to catch the readers attention, like a storm or something. You know, not overthinking it too much... just... "Good enough, Ship IT!"
