Idea The idea is to provide a platform for stories taking place in fictional video game settings. Where the amazing Inside The Game seems to focus on existing games the idea here is to allow writers to set up fictional worlds. There are a lot of stories like this on the site already, I know, I wrote some of them. However this time I wanted to create a large blank canvas to work on. If you are interested in adding to the story just add some chapters and I will add you as an author. The game system is active on this story if you want to use it but for right now I haven't Description Humans, we are explorers, we yearn deep inside to go where no one has gone before. To tame new lands, to face new challenges, to discover new wonders. Inside each of us is an adventurer. In the real world there are no new mountains, but in UO there is more than you could dream of. New lands, new races, new sights sounds and smells. It doesn't matter who you are or where you come from, when you step foot in UO you are an adventurer on your own adventure. As the owner and majority shareholder of Inside The Game, I am humbled and astounded by your simple and brief praise of my story, but also slightly sad. This concept could quite easily have found a home in my story, and instead it will inevitably become a rival. It is a pity; where together we could have been unstoppable now we must vie for dominance in what is, let's face it, a very small part of a not especially large market. Yet, let this missive not end on a bad note: I wish your story well, and would, perhaps, like to find time to explore what your own spin on the concept offers...
I am pretty sure I will be crushed, I just don't have that much time to write these days. When I paged through Inside the Game it seemed to all focus on exiting games and I didn't want to try and change that, to be honest as it made your story successful. I think they are similar but slightly different (At least I hope the readers think so).
