So this is a question mostly out of mild curiosity but I was wondering how many of the visitors the site gets ever actually create an account. I doubt it is a high number, since there are very few sites where the conversion rate is high, but I would like to know just what it is.
Not sure if their is a way to check that. After reading this I was curious how many of the members where writers. There are roughly 2,502 members with stories while their are 48,093 registered members total. Writers are only 5%.
Technically if you had access to the traffic information on the site, you could cross-reference every unique IP address to the IP address of people who have made accounts and use the percentage of unique addresses to accounts. However, I don't really think it would be worth the effort to go through all of that for a number that's pretty meaningless.
I wonder how many of those registered members are using multiple accounts vs those who are using one account?
Well, I for one have several accounts, but other than my main one I use them only for reading anonymously. EDIT: Also, I can't remember how to access about 85% of them.
