I just published a chapter in a story whose owner is none other than me. Yet after I clicked "publish" there was a message saying that the chapter would be published after approval, and at the bottom of the page were two buttons, "approve" or "decline". So, I clicked "approve", obviously. Chapter's out: https://chyoa.com/chapter/Lucky.578549 So, basically, what's up with this? Is it a harmless bug? I also notice in the story map that there is straight away 1 view on that chapter, yet I'm pretty sure I'm the only one to have seen it at the present time of writing. Has this ever happened to anybody else?
That sounds weird indeed and shouldn't happen. I think there won't be any problem with the chapter now. After approving your own chapter, the view count gets activated and the chapter gets loaded again. So the 1 view is most likely from yourself. (Views can come from every source, so if you refresh the chapter 10 times, it gets 10 views.) The total view count gets updated every hour so the 1 was there until the next full hour.
Thanks. I mention the lonely little 1 view because usually my clicking on a chapter doesn't change the stats insofar as I can see.
