My story was blacklisted from google a LONG time ago, I know that one for a fact. Had to dig at least 20 to thirty pages back to find even one chapter.

Then for about five months there, my story was the number two search result when you typed the title into duck duck go. Then today... gone. Nothing. Typed my own handle on a duck duck go... a couple comments I made from decades ago and a couple little comments i made on a public board recently. Other than that... my handle might as well not exist as far as web searches go.

But... go over to images, and there's the title pages for my stories. But not ASH... That one seems to have been purged.

Look to me like the site's been shadowbanned on google. For some reason. Can't even find "The Gamer" on a search. All I can find is the site itself/ the landing page.

All I know Is I could easily find my story with a search, right near the top of the results yesterday, and today the site seem to no longer exist except for the main page.

To be fair, CHYOA is a fairly niche site; you can't expect it to top every search query. Frankly, I think it's a good thing that you won't stumble across anything erotic unless you're deliberately looking for it. My story The Lord's Companion comes up as the second listing when you append the name with the keyword 'sex', which is a rather surprising result, given that it's a fairly generic title. Keep in mind if you don't use quotes to search a phrase, most engines will ignore the order of your keywords and return random crap. It's possible that CHYOA stories have been relegated to database-like listings in Google's eyes. For instance, if you type in 'Facebook' to Google, only the first listing is actually from Facebook. All other pages are considered redundant.

No worries. Clearly my mistake and I'll say nothing more on the subject.

My story shares its name with a popular 3-book series of Gay Erotica, so that’s all that comes up when I search it on google.
