i've been hoping for some comment lately but i'm unsure what people like to read.

does anyone have any requests or anything?
this is not about me or my present writing, i just want some future concepts that i can work on.

that would be very helpful, thank you.

Check the "Story Ideas" forum. You'll find a LOT of good ideas that people want to see, but haven't written.

It's great to please people, it might be important to you or them, but no matter what you are into -

Someone, somewhere, is into what *you* want.

That said, we all get outside inspiration. Brev indeed has a great place to start, or start getting ideas.

thank you everyone, a bit clumsy of me to not notice the sub (i saw it but got distracted.)
thank you brev for the quick response

loeman that is correct, i wanted to please someone in erotica terms and enjoy any of my narratives
and i felt a bit demoralized by the lack of any comment or direction. (though i do see a thread for this, so that will be of use)
i'm also having trouble with the chyoa genre technicality in branching story in terms of creativity
so i can't do conditionals or game stories, but i also can't keep my story straight.
i came here intentionally to chain write with a touch and go tag of co-authoring fun

i tried to contribute to a story recently and i watched as a peer-owner moderated review
remove my author narrative, added theirs in a jokingly smug manner under my name making my work look lazy,
yet they never did the same for their own work.
they also chose to publish my foil character and leave the interesting story unpublished
i never even knew owners can edit a story, but this was a horrible way to find out.

so i'm not sure what anyone wants anymore, do they even want a contributing writer?
do they not want peoples help?
does no one wish to work togeter

    erotica isn't my natural genre
and the log for the idea board' recent's aren't in my current understanding, basic fetish is a good start but androids are difficult to imagine... for me.
the story idea also seems to have huge gaps in timeline

i actually don't know how to truly be part of the community here.
i do enjoy the whole system though, very nice and organized website

A reason why I'm here is to improve my English skills.
So except for an interesting story, I prefer stories with mostly accurate spelling and grammar.

true, i tend to do an astounding amount of writing in my normal writing.
though i do tend to know the audience very well.

do people tend to not touch language errors stories?
i always assumed that chyoa could go any direction, so an interest element can be added.
so i honestly believed that a comment for edit or direction would make it more to the story which could interest the reader.
considering that we have writers in different level.

  8. Personally, bad English is a turn off for a story for me. It's probably not fair on my part, but it's just a peeve of mine. Keep writing, keep reading, these things take time.

As for ideas, feel free to use user suggestions as a starting point, just don't get caught up writing a story you aren't actually interested in.

hmm well i do agree bad english can be problematic but a series of typos wouldn't change the authority of the narrative.

asking someone to edit their work becuase you enjoy the idea shouldn't be much of a problem.

personally my greatest problem on chyoa is formatting.
i do love the options but the spacing outlay haunts me.

i tend to create an easy visual reading outlay without too many he said/she said in my normal writing.
i switch outlay style depending on the format required such as kindle etc.
the idea that chyoa has a very free typing style tends for me to go as i please
until i realize a few mistakes along the way.

the idea suggestions are too open-ended, i don't know the level of detail needed to accomplish it.
again it feels like anything goes, but to write something with someone would be way nicer i believe
considering they will have more involvement.

messaging someone who wrote a post last year april-october and had no stories written since,
seems like a great waste of my time... i even wonder where the thousand viewers come from.

again i apologize if this is on the wrong thread, i jumped the gun here and posted without a fair understanding of things.
the comment has been helpful for me,
so i do thank everyone for accommodating me

I guess English speaking people are too "polite" to do that.

Also, if Grammarly shows 25 errors in a single chapter (without missing periods at the end of sentences and lower case letters in the first word), readers might think that is your style and that you don't plan to change that.

    Hi Kaede.

I skimmed over your stories and i have to chime in what has been written in the previous posts:

To me personally it looks like you have interesting ideas on your mind. For example "Accept the date" and the premise of a hot woman, who cuckolds less than average white men, definitely sparked my interest. I found the cover picture of the story very appealing and fitting as well. But they way the texts are written and presented took away from my enjoyment and caused me to put aside the story and close the browser tab very quickly.

I believe that you either need to invest and put in the effort to bring your ideas to paper in an appealing form, or you automatically limit yourself to a subset of your potential audience. Just the basics like capitalization and punctuation would be a good start.
Don't be disheartened! Everybody has to start somewhere, and only practice makes perfect. And you don't have to be perfect. Nobody here is perfect. Many writer's aren't native English speakers, myself included. But if it is visible that you put in the effort, that should go a long way already.
And of course it is your choice to listen to this advice or not ;-)

    Regarding the community and participation:

If other authors welcome your participation will certainly differ from case to case. Before you write something for the story of someone else, i would advice to contact them first. Write them a private message and check out if they are interested. Perhaps showcase them some of your previous work so that they can see your style of writing. Perhaps layout your ideas in a few short descriptions. That way you don't waste your time writing something without the knowledge of what the story owner will do with it, or if he is likely to publish your contributions at all.

Obviously if the owner hasn't logged in in ages, you can save yourself the trouble. Unless you really want to contribute to such a story anyway, in that case you can check out the following forum threads:

To get other writes to participate in your story, or to even just get comments and feedback, that's tricky. Simply be active and write interesting stories. The more you write, the more readers you get, the more likely it is to get feedback or even participation. Try to have interesting choices or cliffhangers, where others could easily branch off. Set an example yourself. Participate in the stories of other writers. Give helpful feedback and comments yourself and you might just get some back. Of course you might follow every single advice given to you on that subject and still not get the level of participation that you desire. Or any at all.

I hope this post was helpful.

    Greetings, dingsdongs

I used to laugh at adults who couldn't do a spelling contest because they used Microsoft Word to do their work,
now i became one of them.

    i just got grammarly.
i should've known about this long ago.
writing in a vacuum is making me neurotic.
thank you for your constant patience gene.sis

i felt "accept the date" hadn't piqued anyone's interest, all of this was experimental and i chose a category that seemed writable for me at the start.
now it really feels like i haven't been giving this site enough respect.
i felt the fetish would push through at the start.

hmm i'll work harder on editing my stories.
i wish auto-punctuate was possible but i'll push through.

thank you for the perceptive responses,
despite my clumsiness, i do feel like i was understood.
i also feel like i was lacking in responsibility, thank you for the gentle drop to the ground.
