Hey! I'm currently in the middle of writing an erotic, femdom themed crime fighter story. However, there's a few depictions of the heroine killing or otherwise dispatching of her foes that fall into the grey area of "does this count as extreme violence? is this allowed??" What i would like to know is, if by some chance my story did end up being seen as extreme violence and baned, what would happen to it? I respect the site's rules of what they do and don't allow, but I'd be quite upset if it was just outright deleted as I'd probably want to move it somewhere else. Do "banned" stories simply get unpublished, or are they vanished from the site entirely? Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
Regardless of how 'banned' stories are handled, you should always keep a copy of your work for yourself. I use Word to write and then copy it into the editor.
Yeah, that way you won’t lose anything. But I’d think the mods/admin would unpublish the story and tell you to change the parts that are offending before re-submitting it. Also, the extreme violence part is more referring to violence during sex scenes. If there’s no sexual component or fetishising of violence, I don’t think it should pose a problem.
When a story gets reviewed, it can be approved or declined. In case of a decline, it is set back to draft mode with the decline reason on top of the introduction chapter. If the story is already published and a chapter violates a rule, a moderator will contact you about the issue. No matter what, a moderator shouldn't just remove the content without making sure that it is possible to restore the content. (e.g. by using the delete feature as the chapters can be restored within 7 days. Or by cutting out text passages/picture links and sending them to the author.) But as said before, it is always good to have a backup.
