Word of warning: One of my mates, a computer professional, has just installed Windows 10. It took him several attempts and wiped his HD, so be careful and make sure you back up anything. I'm leaving it a couple of months.
I figured it would do that, so I am going to back up everything before I do and proably also leave it for a month or three on the grounds that I want a second and preferably third fourth and fifth opinion on if it is worth it.
I'd rather just buy the computer with Windows 10 as the OS already. I've never upgraded, I heard the same nonsense happened when Vista users went to 7.
The only smooth upgrade I've ever had was from Windows 8 to 8.1, the others all caused disasters to happen.
