I know everyone opinion of romanholiday but for me his criticism forced me to improve my writing, and by spell checker lol Anyway what I an asking is that when someone (this time its romanholiday) writes something on your thread and you accepted it, is there a problem if you change it slightly and add it somewhere else too? I was going to give him all credit that is due by law. Im my case what he wrote the girls ask for something, and I want to write that she doesnt
My personal opinions about romanholiday aside, I have had writers do what you are asking and I have probably done it myself. as long as fair credit is given then I don't think it is a problem.
It seems fair to me, particularly when acting as the story editor, to adapt/write an alternative version of a contributed thread.
I like to sometimes, depending on the story, to ask readers to leave comments about what they would like to see happen to give me an excuse to go back and take a look at how a thread could be done diffrently. Good feedback can be very useful especially since on here it is very easy to change a story and make it go in a diffrent path. Literally.
Do people need encouraging to do this? The thing that most appealed to me about the site was the ability for other users to contribute alternative threads to enable me to explore different ways my erotic fantasies could develop.
https://chyoa.com/story/big-man-on-campus/thread/hoes-before-bros I am unsure how authorship changed but probably cause 24ward is the editor for the story or something. Anyhow I believe I did what you suggested and I that I gave him credit, as me rewriting a new draft off the idea of what he submitted but was deleted.... by not me. I just didn't like how he ended the post as being disadvantageous for the protagonist of the story. Yet, be prepared for him to scream bloody murder about it and be obstinate. He sent me a couple emails demanding that I change my new post to his original version. After it became clear he maintains the preadolescent mindset of a bully; I blocked any future emails. --- As you have I have suggested that you have done; I have endeavored to improve my writing and grammar based some "feedback" he has submitted on the old site. However, the 'feedback' was exceedingly negative mean spirited drivel. It is my own effort to be positive minded that 'choose' to take the comment in whatever positive way possible. Often the comments had me wishing that I could delete them from the registry because of how useless they were. They only served to try to drag a person down. Though, as I understand a number of other users wish that option existed.
