Can't really word this one out like I always do, so here's the skinny: How does being influenced by something, such as an emotion, do anything to your writing? Personally, right now, I'm not feeling all too hot, so I did something stupid. Before, whenever I was bored in class, I'd write up a prompt and submit it somewhere. Focusing on anything other than my education. And when I'm feeling like I want to be loved, I write about two married characters fucking like rabbits. How about you?
I often use writing erotica as a kind of escape, a way to change gears from what I am doing - like my job, or my other writing. I think you can definitely tell when I'm actually in the mood to write porn, because the chapters tend to be longer, more descriptive and involved.
I have a lot of "stories" (mostly just disconnected scenes) that I keep offline, and add to when I am in certain moods. Some of them are definitely darker and stranger than others and get expanded when I am in those moods, for sure.
