Following a stressful week at work, my mind has fully relaxed. Now I have a desire to type and so many ideas to post.
Had an idea for a really terrible/great story, but can't write it when I've got two ongoing. The struggle is real.
Not written erotica or been on here for an age. Am back with a fresh account, new laptop and more enthusiasm. Let's do this!
Lore drop for Galaxy Chained is up! I tried to not get into much detail, but it still ended up as a giant exposition dump.
I've got the inspiration for some snuff&non-con theme thing, but that would obviously not work on this site...
Dropped a poll on my interest check thread. There will be a whole lot of lore to dump in more or less coherent way.
Such a shame you can't add polls after creating the thread. I'd love to ask interested people how they prefer lore to be dropped.
Actually, it should be possible to add a poll to a thread that you have started. Upper right side, above the first post in the thread, should be a menu called Thread Tools, right next to (Un)Watch Thread. Under Thread Tools you should have Edit Title and Add Poll. Never tried it myself, but it should work.
The absolute agony of spending 20ish minutes planning an rp and 10 writing a delightfully smutty opener… only to have your playmate bail…
Finding a partner, setting up things... I always takes so much time. This is one of the reasons why I prefer play-by-email / DM / whatever over chat roleplay. People just seem less likely to disappear there even if it still happens. Or chatRP that just goes straight to business.
That is a disappointing. As a revenge, get into the cosplay/set-up make a teasing pic and sent with text: We could have had fun, instead the fun was all mine~
The more I write, the less I find myself using speaker tags. '"Tell me," she demands.' feels so much weaker than '"Tell me!"'.
I think sometimes the speaker tags are a nice way to get across some things, but these should be used in moderation so that every quote isn't surrounded by twice the number of words that could have been replaced by just writing the quote in a more descriptive manner.
I still don't get the whole "the MC is an ugly loser" genre of smut that people seem to like *because they see themselves as loser*(?)
Maybe it's "I'm a loser, but I know I'm not as bad as THAT sad sack of flesh, so if even HE gets to score, surely I will be able to as well"? If you're really insecure, maybe self-identifying with/as the hero/hunk/player becomes impossible. And then the next best thing is feeling superior to something, anything.
I keep getting writer's block on one project, and then halt all my other projects because I feel guilty for not updating the oneI'm stuck on
I think one of the better aspects of CHYOA for me is that I can change projects when inspiration hits. (Granted that I've been off my writing groove for a long time now.)
Oh, I know the feeling. Recently I realised that I might have just taken too many projects and decided to slow all of it down, just to keep writing all of them.
Man. Sounds like the writing drive drying up is not only mine issue. I started having headaches as winter ended and now I am finally trying to get myself to write again.
...So the poisoned cupcake failed. CURSES! I knew I shouldn't have bought used poison from a second hand dealer.
