Power granting being temporary is fine. I also considered the version, that weaker excitement would make the power temporary, and higher would be permanent. But I guess temporary powers would make the game more balanced. As for weakness... well, how about high purity still having the same depowering and lust effect, while weaker purities would excite her, without weakening her? Both cases could be with willpower throws.
So, the time and strength of excitement, as well as the power of orgasm - would decide both, the strength of power and how long it lasts? That is fine with me.
I'm still not sure if I should revise powers, but I added a section for her general henchmen. I'm not sure if I'd start with a group or not. It's fine if I don't.
I'm writing the first posts right now, but it's fine if we modify things later. As for henchmen, she'll start with some of her fans, but they won't be useful for much more than basic errands. Actually useful henchmen will show up during the RP.
Editted. Lost her skill with knifes to give her the ability to manipulate plants. I was debating if I should get rid of dark magic too to make that a stronger power, but I feel like this is fine. It gives her a far variety of abilities, I think. Was debating getting rid of her self healing to make it a stronger plant control power, but I feel like the power set makes sense in combination with each other.
I'm making a backup character, if that's fine. Real Name: Valentin Hansen "Hero" Name: No alias Age: 19 Appearance/Picture: History/Backstory: Once a regular highschool student, he awakened to being granted mysterious powers. Nobody knows why. ....he was the most perfectly wrong choice. Always a troublemaker, hotheaded and a delinquent, he definitely was not the kind of person who should be granted any special kind of powers. The only thing heroic about him is his strength. Even as a normal person, his strength seems far beyond the scope of a regular person for no real reason. He never trained for it. His life mostly revolves around beating the shit out of other delinquents to prove he's the toughest and everything else coming secondary. It was for that reason, he attracted the powers of hell. Having unwittingly pulled himself into a demonic contract, his largest objection comes from the idea of someone else trying to tell him what to do. Fortunately, it works out that most of what he's supposed to do are all things he would have done anyway.....but the Requiem he has contracted with will make him more demon like with the more violence he commits. After a certain threshold, he'd go completely demon. He wouldn't even totally mind going total demon if it wasn't for the fact then it wouldn't be his own strength he was using anymore. He found that fighting villains helps him do good things enough to keep the "blessing" at bay, and also allow him strong opponents to entertain himself. Skills/Equipment: Powers: Power of the Void**-The power of a demon is undeniable. When it can be used, there's all the things like superstrength and toughness as well as demon magic to come with it(Mostly, just boils down to aggressively powerful blasts since he doesn't have the mind to think of doing much more with it.) A lot of other things that come with the whole package that would make him just about dam near invincible if the Reiqeum ever reached it's full fulfillment. On a average day, it floats around maybe 10% corruption. Noticeable in weird looking tatoos in the chest area, but concealable. While those powers would undoubtedly make him insanely powerful, it's reasoned that around the 30% mark is when the taint would start becoming irreversible. Super strength*- Even with his natural abilities, he does display a lower level version of this naturally. As far as anyone knows, he isn't supposed to be superhuman, but he was still already unnaturally strong prior to his contract. It just gets stronger when tuned with the demon nature. At it's natural state, it's not enough to be throwing oil tankers, by breaking walls purely by punching them is an option. Talents: Athletics** Weaknesses: Main Weakness: Contractual Obligations: The Requiem of the Void is....tricky to manage. There's specific obligations to keep it at least going. The requirements come from just general domination over other people, through fighting or other means. That's easy enough to handle. If the contract began completely nullified......that wouldn't please the demon lord expecting him to cause mass destruction as an agent. For each selfish act at the cost of someone else however....the contract goes stronger and along with his shaping his body to become more demonlike. His ability to use his higher powers beyond the peak of human ability fluctuate depending on how strong the contract is at any given time making him range from either much stronger than normal, to no stronger than the abilities he had before. He doesn't have much interest in tapping into demon power anyway, but it can be a problem when it can't be tapped into on a whim. Character Flaws: Dumbass- Like many high school boys with strange powers, he's not the brightest of the bunch. Most subjects he's generally poor at it and doesn't take much of an interest in learning them. Impulsive- With his need to balance out the nature of demon power, the fact that he is easily worked up into aggressive and stupid actions don't help matters. Only a draft of an idea, not even sure if I will do. I was wondering if it should be a genderbend kind of thing with the demon form becoming more girlish and female, but I don't know about it. Not everyone is into that. I was thinking it would have to be less of a gradual thing and more at a certain threshold, there's a gender change. Yeah, I don't know about that angle. But would give more incentive to why he avoids using demon power when it can be avoided.
Hello! I managed to find my way to the forum a few days ago, read the RP board, and knew I had to give it a shot. After a couple days of trying to figure out what sort of character to play, I settled on this. You already have a bunch of interesting women (and an eldritch monstrosity), but playing a normal guy seemed a little too bland, so I came up with this. Please don't hesitate to let me know if I'm doing anything I shouldn't or if anyone's uncomfortable with a crossdressing character. Also, I have really bad luck since Arachna posted their back up character and the concepts seem pretty similar. I'm more than willing to come up with something else if requested. Character Sheet: Real Name: Nico Otero Stage Name: Calista Hero/Villain Name: Sonata Age: 20 Appearance/Picture: Spoiler: Casual Spoiler: Calista Spoiler: Sonata Spoiler: Lewd (Feminine) History/Backstory: Nico’s family immigrated to Century City when he was 9, hoping to provide a better life for him. Nico had trouble adapting in school, struggling to be a C student and being ostracized by his classmates. Upon reaching high school, Nico was presented with the opportunity to learn music. Well, it was more that he was forced to have a fine arts credit and hated drawing. However, he excelled with the subject, learning quickly enough to officially join the school’s choir within only a month. During his first concert, Nico realized that he was finally being heard by the hundreds of students in the crowd who had ignored him for so long. He actually had their attention, and he would make sure to keep it. After the show, Nico’s power first manifested. He was practicing his part when he realized he could literally see and manipulate the sound waves around him. Using this newfound ability, he quickly became the best musician in his school, earning the recognition and acclaim he had so badly yearned for from his peers. Once Nico graduated from high school (barely), his now former music teacher and conductor recommended him to a friend who worked as a record company’s agent. The suit was impressed with Nico’s prowess, but she said there wasn’t enough market interest for another solo male act. If Nico truly wanted to be a renowned singer, he would have to cater to the demands of the demographics. Without hesitation (and without reading the contract), Nico signed with the record label, creating Calista. With his power, changing his high tenor voice into that of a girl’s contralto, or even alto, wasn’t an issue, and Nico looked androgynous enough that some small changes such as a high quality wig and some makeup allowed him to play the role of a pop idol. Shortly into Nico’s new music career, his grandfather died. The will bequeathed to Nico a pair of karambits made entirely of jade which seemed to hum with power. In an accompanying letter, Nico’s granddad asked the younger Otero to take up the blades which their family has wielded for centuries. Wanting to honor his grandfather’s dying wish, Nico used his signing bonus from the record label to make preparations for joining Century City’s costumed superhumans, adopting a third identity dubbed Sonata. He hasn’t been active long enough to earn a reputation on either side of the law, and Nico is more interested in fame and fortune than he is in protecting the innocent. Skills/Equipment: Powers: Acoustomancy (-2 points) - Control and generation of sound waves. Nico is able to control volume, pitch, etc. well enough to change his own voice, and he can use the waves to deafen, disorient, and even strike foes with a potent shock wave. Talents: Charismatic Performer (-1 point) - Years of practice and small, high school shows have forged Nico into a decent showman, able to work a crowd or win someone over. Sound Sight (-1 point) - The ability to see sound waves, even if only faintly, grants Nico better “hearing” than most. Kali Black Belt (-2 points) - Nico took a few years of classes at a martial arts studio since he grew up in a rougher part of Century City. Gadgets: Otero’s Charge (-1 point) - A pair of enchanted jade karambits Nico almost never allows to leave his person. Light as feathers and unnaturally durable, these blades are ancient weapons inherited from Nico’s grandfather. Weaknesses: Main Weakness: Drowned Out - Nico’s practiced ears and sound-seeing eyes have an inherent drawback; very loud noises (e.g. things like jet engines, firecrackers, and firearms) can overwhelm him, causing him to be deafened, dazed, and unable to act (length of time disabled will be up to your discretion for balance). Character Flaws: Showoff (+1 point) - Nico loves to be the center of attention, leading to him trying to upstage or outdo others when he feels a challenge for the spotlight. He wants to be a household name in everything he sets himself to, including music and costumed shenanigans. Crossdressing (+1 point) - If Calista’s fans were to learn that she was played by Nico, there’s no telling what would happen to Nico’s music career. Furthermore, while adopting a feminine persona was originally done only to sign with a record label, Nico has found himself secretly, ashamedly enjoying the role.
Looks like an interesting character. No, I have no issues with the whole crossdressing kink - should be interesting to write something different than what I normally do. The last pic you used was a little loli-esque, though, which I'm not sure is allowed with the forum rules, so just watch out for that. Otherwise, character accepted.
Thanks! I looked for art I didn't hate for a couple hours before finding much which I thought fit the character. I'm not super happy with last picture, but it was the best I could find after an hour or two of looking. (Note to self - find good art before making the character next time). Still, I'm happy to remove it and look for something else if you, other players, or a mod/admin would like me to.
Nah, if no one tells you to, it should be fine. I'll get to writing your character's intro tomorrow (in a few hours for me.)
