The Mrs. Hardleigh knew her husband to be a good man and hardworking provider for the family; although perhaps too hard. Erik spent much of his time working and early in their marriage Tara expected that as the man earned more money and established himself he'd spend more time at home, but that hadn't happened. Trying to give Miles a few things to think about to distract him mentally, she decided to ask what she already knew the answer to. "Is Tae going to get home at a reasonable time? He's blown me off for going clothes shopping for months and half of all his shirts are ripped to shreds."

 

"The day was tiring. Some shareholders thought they could make me invest into their projects without assurances." Erik said as hemande his way to a shelf and grabbed a pair of plates.

"Damian?" He mused. "You forgot that he will be spending a night in friend's house?" Erik smiled. "What was her name? Jenny? Jessica?"

 

Her husband greeted her.

"Ah" he hesitated. He was always more of a software then hardware kind of guy. "Yes, I will try to do it, later on." He nodded. So he was going to try... and ask his brother for help...

He sat down near her.

"I just thought he'd start easing out of that phase by now." She sighed.

"Nothing special....I was wondering if we should try setting aside a few days of vacation and going somewhere. I don't really have anything in mind. Maybe just to enjoy a change of scenery for a little while."

 

Valerie jumps, slightly, before turning and smirking at the gangster. "I might. It depends on what you have in return..."

 

"Hmm~" The man hummed with delight as he took a bite of the meal. "Well, I am open to suggestions." He paused. "But, we could watch a movie, go on a trip... or use the fact that the kid is out of the house~" He wiggled his eyebrows playfully.

 

"Oh?" Miles hummed as he walked closer. "I think that is doable... do you have a place in mind?" He asked.
