" Spoiler: Combat Roll D100: 67+10 Villain Roll: 33 Damage: 44 As the speedster goes to duck under an increasingly volatile arc of lightning, he gasps as Vanessa's fist slams into his gut. The heroine hears his breath leave his lungs all at once, and he falls to the ground with a wheeze. The electricity from the damaged machine is starting to intensify, arcs shooting out to connect with those coming from the others, and the rumbling increases in volume.
"Holness - I know him." Infinity nods. "An anti-crime guy, but I've heard rumors about his methods. That's basically the same deal I made with Duke, only maybe Holness is really making it... Troubling - this obviously helps Duke, but if we don't know who they're teamed up against, we don't know if it might be better to let them do their thing for a while." The hero shakes his head. "We can think about that later." Seeing her impish expression, his grin returns, as he looks at her. "Yes, no need to linger. Unless...maybe you want to give me an idea of what Duke thinks you do? Just to make my raving more realistic, of course."
Amethyst Heart paused. "A practice... hmm... maybe pleasure and teaching would work best to motivate them?" the alien smiled playfully. "How about a quick training session where you direct them in defeating me... and then have them enjoy their spoils?"
As he's knocked unconscious, Vanessa's focus switches to the machine. "What is this?" She grumbled, trying to make heads or tails of what the machines were for, while at the same time looking for a breaker she could flip to kill the power.
"Heh... No idea if that'll help teach them, but it sure sounds fun." Erik grins. "Alright, people! Enough profligacy - time for training. Move to the training ring." The boys in particular groan in irritation, as the team moves to the part of the warehouse marked out for sparring.
An image flashed in Jenny's mind of her on her knees taking Infinity's member in her mouth. There was something about it that seemed so real though... She could taste his skin, smell his scent, feel herself grow wet as she bobbed her head up and down his length. Her eyes turned tot he idol in her hand and she thought she saw... something. She shook her head. That wasn't going to happen. But maybe she could at least try something he'd suggested. "I might be able to try something." she said and stepped closer to the hero before she raised a hand to his temple. "Open your mind for a minute." Using her telepathy, Psychana attempted to project the image in her mind into Infinity's.
Spoiler: Awareness Roll D100: 23 Sadly, in the increasing tension that comes with the similarly increasing sparks of electricity, Vanessa fails both to realise what the machines are meant to do, or to find some way of turning them off. As the arcs of lightning begin to intersect, the rumbling begins on each of the machines, and the lights start flickering, a few of them bursting violently.
"Alright..." Infinity closes his eyes, and shudders as the image is projected into his mind. His costume is just spandex - super resilience meaning he has no need for armor, which means that the rapidly hardening bulge in his costume is very much visible. He opens his eyes. "Holy hell..." He says, seeming rather unprofessional. "Your...powers...are damn impressive."
"Rrrh." Vanessa grumbled as arcs of lightning began to grow more violent. "No choice." She said in an irritated tone, as she looks for the machine's wire to pull it off. If that fails, she retreats, not wanting to risk being caught up in an explosion.
"T-thank you." Psychana said with a little bit of a blush. "I hope that helps." She backed away from him then and tried to return to a more professional posture. "I-if that's everything, I think I'd best be off. It's been a... long day."
Forced to flee, Vanessa zooms up into the night sky, feeling a shockwave beneath her, as the factory explodes into a fireball.
"Tsk." Clicking her tongue as the factory explodes, Vanessa hurriedly thinks of a way to salvage the situation. "The workers fled, one of them should know what those machines were for." She thinks to herself as she flies around the area, hoping to catch one of the workers from earlier for questioning.
Amethyst Heart entered the ring. She stretched. "Okay - let us see if you learned to work together." She smirked at the four of them. "Let's make it spicy - if you win, you get to enjoy the spoils~" She moved her hands along her sides. "But if you loose... you will have quite a hard training sessions ahead of you~" the blond smirked.
"After that, I'm tempted to say it's not everything, but yeah, after this, we should probably call it a night." Infinity looks at her for a while longer, before heading into the air. Back home, Jenny walks in to find the living room empty. Poking her head around to find the people she lives with, she catches Chastity in the bathroom, taking selfies. Spoiler: Chastity's Selfie "Oh, hey, sis!" She turns and smiles. "Do you need the bathroom? I'll be out in little while - I wanna pick one I really like." Leaving, she finds her husband in his office, headphones on. "Oh, hey, honey!" He looks up and removes his headphones as she enters.
They all look at her as she stretches, eagerly. "Oh, don't worry, we're not gonna lose..." Mantis grins, and Amethyst realises that, reformed or not, the woman's probably eager for some payback after the alien arrested her in the first place. As for the boys, both were eager to fuck her from the moment they saw her, so there's no surprise that they're eager now. They surround Heart, watching her carefully as they wait for the blonde to make the first move.
Spotting the man, Vanessa hurriedly swoops down in front of his car. "You, out, now." She glares at him, holding onto his vehicle to make sure he couldn't sweep away. Once he obeyed, the heiress picks him up, and flies away to a different location to make sure no one interrupts. After that, she asks the man to tell her what he knows.
Amethyst Heart grinned. Surrounding her was a sound strategy... if they attacked at once. Now, they were three individuals she could attack. She quickly moved to the right, attacking Mantis - she would take her down, the boys would follow.
Azura quickly scanned the room, making sure that everyone else had been knocked out and that Chen and the woman were the only ones left. “Funny you should say that, miss You're a peon, Chen, an upjumped peon. I thought you were the smartest person in that room, walking out when you had the chance. But it seems I overestimated your intelligence. How disappointing.” She shook her head as she gathered and concentrated arcane energy in a fist-sized ball above her palm. Without delay she threw the purple sphere at the floor in front of the woman, wanting to test her defenses. The ball would explode upon hitting something solid, the resulting explosion would hurt and push away any living people within 2 meters of it, damaging their clothes and potentially even causing the victims to fall down, but it would do barely any damage to the floor and walls of the building. (Yes, that's the same spell she used against Toxin back in the chemical plant.)
Sonata is surprised the man is still on his feet, let alone able to fight back. The comparatively diminutive boy scrambles back to his feet. "Lo siento, lobo, but I can't risk you attacking the crowd." He moves to place himself as close to the giant as possible while stabbing at the man's torso. Get close. Prevent him from using his size.
