Spoiler: Perception Roll 35=35 fail She doesn't notice anything unusual about Takashi, aside from how incredibly pure and even naive he seems to be. "Of course, Professor. Why do you think I made that request on Umi's behalf? There's nothing wrong with asking for help, but most people don't seem to think that, sadly." He frowns slightly before his charming smile returns. "Thank you again for that, really."
"Alrighty. Thank you Felicia. You've been real brave. We'll catch them. Do you have any questions or concerns for me before I go report all this?" The nurse returns, carrying a set of folded clothes with her. "Here you are, Miss Matthews." She hands them to the seated girl. "They're the best fit I could find on such short notice, but the shirt might be little snug."
"M-my cards... I just want my deck back." Felicia mumbled, "A-and... who else will know of this?" She said in a shy tone, just as the nurse returned. "Thank you." The red-head said as she takes the clothes, examining what she'll be wearing.
"Sure." Rene says offhandedly. He looks at Adam, contemplating something. "Why don't you take one of the rooms on the top floor? They are meant for up to two occupants at most, and I do not expect us to be near capacity. Go ahead and pick out which one you like."
He seemed almost too perfect of a human being to really exist. Julia didn't feel like he was really hiding something. Or perhaps, hiding it so well, he didn't even realize it himself. "I would have had her admitted anyway, but how can I say no to that cute face?" Maybe if she teased him a little bit, that would be more telling.
"Very well, I'll go check it out." Adam goes upstairs, but before he does, he casts an analytical eye over Rene, trying to study the man's face and judge if this is some kind of trick.
"Just the investigator assigned to your case, Felicia. These records are kept shut tight." The officer answers. "I can't promise we'll be able to retrieve your effects, but we'll return 'em if we do." "Your medical history will also contain a record of this, but it's no more invasive than those held by your gynecologist." The nurse smiles comfortingly. "Aside from that, no one will know the details." The clothes are simple--a faded yellow t-shirt, which is a size too small, and a pair of shorts which end mid-thigh. "I'm sorry, but I couldn't find anyone with spare undergarments on them." The nurse apologizes. "Anything else for me, Felicia?" The policewoman asks kindly.
Spoiler: Charm Roll 74+10=84 success Takashi's cheeks turn red at the compliment. "I, uh, thank you, Professor." Embarrassed, he looks past Julia and at the wall behind her. Spoiler: Perception Roll 96+10(Cold Reading)+10(situational)=116 crit. success His eyes are actively fighting the urge to take glances of her cleavage, but Julia sees nothing she would find concerning, and nothing which hints to Takashi hiding anything from her. "Um, which room am I supposed to be in?"
Spoiler: Perception Roll 60=60 weak success He sees nothing in the professor's demeanor which suggests the older man is deceiving him. There may still be an ulterior motive to his suggestion, but he hasn't lied to Adam's face. As he walks through the well appointed foyer, Adam is met with a choice. Does he use the stairs or the elevator to reach the top floor?
Well, it can't be helped. At his age, having a teacher with such big jugs is hard for him. She didn't find it really anything to worry about. But seeing the strain gave her the thought that he would be fun to mess with. Though, she wanted to give him more time to settle in first. "Well, you're first. You can choose wherever you like." While she still had many mysteries with him left to solve, she thought it was best to just let him set up and unpack his things for now. She still needed to get to know her other students. It would be hard to get to the bottom of everything in one day, but she still had time. It was better if he was living close by too to help solve it.
Takashi nods. "Thank you, professor. I will do so." With that, he departs, looking through the rooms. A few minutes later, Alex Courser, the student Pres. Yamagishi wanted in Julia's dorm, walks through the double doors and approaches Julia's desk. The student doesn't speak, remaining silent as he shuffles his feet, nervous.
She remembered that face. But he was made more interesting that she knew even less about him. She hadn't even seen him duel yet and from the looks of it, he seemed rather shy. Doing her best to offer the same warm smile as always, she did her best to look welcoming. "Alex Courser, right? The president seemed quite adamant about providing a good environment for you. I'll do my best. I'm Julia. But you can call me babe if you want." She offered a wink as she eyed him, let's be honest. Teasing him, served absolutely no purpose here. Let me know if you need anything, okay?" Keeping a soft tone, she silently tried to access his strength of spirit as she was now making a habit of people. Though in the case, she was still curious to his exact connections to the president and what his interest in this one was. She doubted the president had any clue about those kind of abilities, but he might have stumbled close to finding something even if can't grasp the reasons for it or truly understand it's actual value.
"Yes, ma'am." He blushes furiously at Julia's teasing. After the joke, Alex finds himself staring at her chest, unable to tear his vision away from the woman's translucent top. Spoiler: Spiritual Resonance Roll 68+10=78 success Julia can feel a dormant spirit with the boy, but it is weak. Far weaker than Haunani's. Weaker than Adam's. Weaker than Takashi's. Still, a glimmer of strength sleeps. Who knows how strong it might become in time?
Tenma is actually more interested in the duel, but he has learned over the years to always at least keep one eye on his sisters at all times. Who knows what mischief they might be plotting when they think his back is turned. And even though she has a duel herself to worry about, that might not mean Haruka wouldn't want a distraction before then.
Adam decides to take the stairs - always good to keep the thighs toned, after all - before picking the nicest room.
Unlike, Takashi he couldn't help himself. Not that she minds. Leaning back against a table a bit, to slightly emphasis her curves more while acting oblivious to his staring. It looked like she'd have at least a couple boys who would be fun to tease. Still....maybe the bigger factor was with his spirit. He did have the potential. Though that wasn't too surprising. It wasn't actually too hard to find people with the ability. That in itself was common, but it still was more than possible for people to go their whole lives without ever making any form of contact with their own spirit. What if...well, that could be worried about later. "By the way, I should get an idea of how you like to play so I can help you optimize. Can you show me your deck?" She made a reasonable enough sounding suggestion, hoping that if he was looking through his cards properly that would give her a better clue of what it is.
"Oh..." Hearing that her deck might not be found, Felicia was filled with despair. "Ah, no, thank you, the both of you." She mumbles, deciding to put on the clothes. Which clung tightly to her well developed body. "U-uhh..." The red-head blushes, seeing her nipples strain against the fabric of her shirt. "I should... probably head home." She mumbles, without her deck there's no way she could participate in any duels. And without her phone, she doesn't even know where she's supposed to go next...
The duel is mostly uninteresting so far in the early turns. Both duelists are taking their time readying resources. Alina, unsurprisingly, has a Beast deck built primarily around primates. Miho's deck revolves around the Elemental HERO archetype. For now, Haruka seems content to leave her brother alone, perhaps because of Tenma's watchful eyes. "What are you looking at?" Jessica, having stopped crying fairly quickly after Tenma's kindness to her, follows the young man's gaze to his adopted sibling. "Do you--Oh." She cuts herself off as she finds the object of Tenma's attention, falling quiet.
Spoiler: Spiritual Resonance Roll 38=38 fail The staircase is notably less luxurious than the rest of the dorm so far, having simple, commercial-building style floors and a distinct lack of furniture. One he reaches the sixth floor of the dorm's central rise, the stairs terminate at a landing. Walking into the hallway, Adam sees that there are six identical, expansive rooms to choose from. Claiming the closest one to the stairs as his own, he finds himself within a space more suitably called a furnished, two bedroom apartment than a simple dorm room. The immaculately clean flat holds a living room, kitchen, dining space, bathroom, and the two bedrooms.
"Nice..." Adam grins. "Seems like they know how to treat their top performers." After walking around and familiarising himself with the place, he exercises and gets ready for bed. He checks if Quintet Magician has anything to say, before hitting the hay.
