Sure - it's one of the largest cities in Greece, after all. as for flaws and equipment, I could give suggestions, but I'd rather not interfere in how you want to make your character.

I could use some suggestions for equipment, as I am not quite sure how to go about it.

As for the Flaws, I will stick with the "Boobies!" one, it is the second flaw - "Persistent", or maybe I should rename it to "Stubborn" - that I am not entirely sure about, since it can be both good and bad depending on circumstances. Is it enough of a flaw as it is now? What do you think?

 

Well, for sure you need bow and arrows, and spear and knive to hunting. Since your character is hunter, you would need some camping tools like tent, cloak, bow and bag. Simple tunik, sandals, maybe some kind of leather armor? Also bandages and salt would usefull too.

 

I would think maybe, if you're not going with an upgraded weapon or armor, maybe some elegant clothes or a perfume that makes him more charming to help with persuasion or seduction rolls, something like that?

As for Persistent, yeah, I'd be fine with it.

 

Fundamentally, there's nothing wrong with Hera. She is high quality MILF material. The problem is that she's a massive party pooper and really a subject of an emotionally abusive relationship.

She can't punish Zeus for his infidelity, but she can punish the women he sleeps with.

With the air of this toxic relationship hovering over her, it's hard to imagine lewd stuff about her.

 

True, but Hera at this point has sworn never to rebel against Zeus, so she has her anger pointed in the right direction. It's a little hard to buy the goddess of marriage committing adultery, but Zeus really, really makes it as plausible as possible. If she took lovers instead of attacking her husband's victims, it'd be a whole lot better for everyone, I think. Either way, getting past the whole 'goddess of marriage' thing would make it a difficult proposition.

 

Hmm, I think I will rename Persistent to Stubborn, but otherwise leave its effect the same.

As for equipment, I assume we start with some basic stuff based on character? If so, then yes, a perfume with persuasion and seduction might be a good idea - something he received as a gift from a merchant he helped, perhaps.

Good! Interesting character. For balance reasons, they won't really be able to use the wealth and military power of their kingdom on their journey, though - at least not for a while.

figured I should mention while folks are putting the finishing touches on their characters. It should be kept in the back of the mind when thinking about preferred/banned kinks. Ancient Greece is notorious for monsters and creatures often represented in erotica like Satyrs, Minotaurs, Harpies, Centaurs, Gorgons, etc. It's also a mythology that doesn't shy away from forced sex, even by the "Good" beings. This is the mythology that rather infamously has a story that involves Zeus raping a woman in the form of a Swan after all.

I don't think that Tjf is going to go to such extremes, but such extremes are at least theoretically possible.

 

My general rule is that I don't do non-con in an rp unless the player has told me via DM that they're okay with it.

 

Let me know if that supernatural power works or it should change. I was going to go with a kind of her locking her body in a stasis thing of it’s peak condition that makes her have more durable and gives her more stamina, but then then wondered if that might be too close to Merkos’s thing so went with some low level precogntion which could still be useful.

 

Tjf, could you please tell us when are you going to begin rpg?

 

Not sure, at the moment. My dog's been unwell recently, so I keep having to stop whatever I'm doing and go help him. It's killing my creativity, sorry.

Pretty ancient. Not sure how old exactly, but he must be around 20.

 

Sorry to hear that. That part of having a pet, is always... depressing. But aged 20? He's pretty old.
