These two issues should be resolved now. Edit: I've noticed that some older stories and chapters are still in Recently Deleted. Those should be removed with the next update.

Oh, that's interesting. I mostly meant that the automatic one where you just press the italics button hasn't been working for me, and I also saw a posted story where somebody else ended up with _ on either side instead.
Both versions work for me. In general, both ways have the same result, as the Rich Text Editor text will be converted to markdown format before saving to the database. Additional underscores can occur when you use more italics split within words. this is a text would result in _thi_s is a text with markdown you could avoid this by mixing identifier *thi*s is a t_ext_:
When I try to view other's 'recent activity' I frequently get a screen indicating there has been none (when I know there has been) or its really strangely updated - like only having activity from months ago when I know that is also not the case. Sometimes it's totally up to date. Its weird, and I can't figure out the pattern of when the history works out normally and when it doesn't.
Just to add another data point to what was mentioned above, the rich text editor pop-up isn't working for me (nothing appears when I highlight a portion of a chapter in the editing form) -- I've tried in a couple different browsers.
I was just trying to access one of my unpublished stories to add new content, On a Samsung Galaxy Express 3 using Chrome through an AT&T 4G uplink, when it started redirecting me to a dead page called market://details?id=com.ubercab&referrer=mat_click_id%3D7184e4fa3deb3eb2f7383419402a6ec6-20170128-7336%26utm_campaign%3D3437%26utm_content%3D245054%26utm_medium%3DInternal%26utm_source%3DImpact%2BRadius%26utm_term%3DInternal I don't know why this happened, but it needs to stop! Most of the time I can only access CHYOA via my phone, so if this redirecting thing persists I won't be able to participate! (It didn't do this on the main page and I haven't checked other stories...)
I get that same redirect as Nemo, whenever I would try to go to any page other than the home page or the forum. So far, it only occurs on chyoa.com so I am reasonably sure it is not my phone.
Same issue here, AT&T Samsung S6. Android version 6.0.1 Chrome version 55.0.2883.91 Edit:. Workaround is to copy chapter link and paste in a new tab. Clunky, but lat least you can load a chapter that way
Workaround has stopped working. However, it seems the redirect actually opens the Google play store, and wants me to download Uber's app. If you go back, it'll take you to the page, then promptly reopen the app store. Highly invasive, and rather annoying. Using an adblocker browser corrects the problem, though.
Thank you all for your posts. I think this is caused by the advertising network CHYOA uses to pay for servers and maintenance. I've contacted their support to solve this issue.
Adblock browser. It's made by the people who made AdBlock plus for PC. Browser works OK, though there's a few minor issues with CHYOA's appearance on it. It's a touch slower than Chrome, though.
Alas, my phone lacks the space for a new browser. Friedman, PLEASE, I beseech and implore you: if the ad service won't back down on the redirects fire them and find someone else!
