At the nod the two started their travel back, using various secret passages... as they walked, in one of the corridors, Crystal felt the force to call to her. She paused and guided by it, she moved different way.

"Hey!" Reri hissed, as she noticed Crystal moving different way, but quietly moved behind her.

Eventually, the two made it to something that looked like a trophy room... There were various mementoes, books, weapons and sculptures gathered here... and in the middle of room, a person imprisoned in carbonite. As Crystal made her way close, she realised that there was a lightsaber laying next to carbonite - this was a Jedi. A perfectly preserved Jedi!

She waved her hand and a holo of the imprisoned woman appeared.

A jedi? How? Why? Crystal blinked in a mix of surprise and confusion, before she started looking around in search of anything that could provide further information about the woman and what happened to her.

As she sought the database, she found an entry in jornual explaining the presence of Jedi.

According to it, one of the Queens of the past, was a tyrant. The rebellion raised against her, but she crushed it. Then another one, and another one...

Seventh rebelion was different. The rebels managed to capture a couple of cities. They were lead by a pair of Jedi.

So, the Queen prepared a trap. She allowed the rebels into the capital, and the Jedi into her throne room. When the Jedi meet her body double, she locked the throne room and filled it with gas, knocking both of the Jedi and other leaders. After that, she mopped out the rest of the rebellion.

All of that, happened 685 years ago.

The Jedi Crystal saw, was a padawan kept as a trophy.

 

An interesting little bit of history. Not much use right now, but it is good to know what sort of trap a local queen might use against her enemies. Still, such a waste. Crystal gave the trophy padawan a final look, then started searching for anything of use to her, such as items belonging to the jedi.

 

The Sith checked the carbonite coffin... and realised that the Jedi was perfectly preserved... and alive.

As Crystal looked around he found the Jedi's lightsaber. There were also several suits of armour, blasters of a different kind, schematics of ancient Hammerhead cruiser, weapons, sculptures, skulls, banners. It was a historical vault.

 

Crystal decided to take the schematics of the ancient Hammerhead cruiser – perhaps it could be of use to her later. Their disappearance was less likely to be noticed, too. The other items were nice trophies, but nothing she needed right now.

Before leaving she took one last look at the trapped jedi. Sorry, honey, you are cute and all, but I can't risk freeing you right now. The last thing I need right now is dealing with a potentially hostile jedi, even just a padawan. I might come back for you later, after I have dealt with this little civil war... And with that Crystal and Reri left, heading back they way they had been before this little detour.

 

Reri looked at Crystal.

"Are we finished here?" She asked. "Are going back to your ship?"

 

“Yes, we're done here. Let's go back to the ship.” Crystal replied after she made sure that the schematics were secure. Without further delay she started moving toward the storage where the secret entrance was hidden.

 

The two easily dodged the patrols, as they made their way to the storage room, the schematics of ancient ship safely tucked in Crystal's belt.

As Reri closed the door behind, she turned to Crystal.

"What about the two?" She asked as she pointed at the two still unconscious women.

 

“We untie them and then leave quietly before they wake up. If they are smart they will keep quiet about the whole thing. If not... well, it's not like they know anything useful about who knocked them out, so let them try and explain what happened.” Crystal shrugged. “Any other option, such as the two disappearing, is more likely to attract unwanted attention.”

 

Reri nodded. She walked up to the duo and removed the bondage. Then she turned to the secret passage and lead Crystal through it...

Hours later, the two stopped in front of Crystal's spaceship as the ramp was lowering...

 

“So that was Queen Shaani. Time to go and take a look at Queen Carisele next. You said that you don't know how to approach her, but do you at least know which city she's in right now? I'll find some way to get to her once I am there.” Crystal asked Reri while waiting for the ramp to lower.

 

Rieri frowned.

"I know that she was last time in the resort city over the sea... but I am not sure she will be there now..." She looked at Crystal, with some wonder. "You really went there to only look at the woman." She said, then shook her head. "I did not expect that."

 

“You'd be surprised what you can learn from looking at a person... and the people around that person.” Crystal smirked. “Alright, the resort city it is. If Carisele is still there – great; if she's not it should be possible to learn where she went. Either way it seems the best course of action right now.”

 

"And after that?" She asked as the two entered the spaceship.

 

“Depends on what I will learn there. I have a few ideas, but I need more information before I can make an informed decision.”

 

Rieri nodded her head, and she followed Crystal into the ship.
"If that's not a problem, I am going to catch some downtime, now." She said as she gave a small yawn.

 

“Sure, go ahead. I will do the same myself.” Crystal watched Reri leave before going to give her orders about the ship's next destination and then getting some rest herself. I wonder what Carisele is like... Was the darth lady's last thought before she fell asleep.

 

Crystal's vision travelled to the familiar structure.

A woman walked through the empty corridors, her eyes determined.



She stopped in front of the large door. She took out a key hanging around her waist and inserted it into one of the keyholes... Then she took another key and insert it into the other keyhole.

...

Crystal opened her eyes as she woke up.

 

That was the temple from my earlier dream... but who was the woman? And what was that ridiculous outfit? Crystal wondered as she tried to recall as many details as she could. Hmm two keys to open a door... and two sisters fighting over the throne... does it mean anything? ...Probably not, there are more than two contenders for the throne, even if the sisters seem to be the main ones. She shook her head. Whatever, for now I should focus on taking a look at Carisele.

After fully waking up and getting ready for the day the former thief went to check the situation and how long it would be before they reached their destination.
