The two young women head off across the campus, towards a secondary house built across from the main mansion that houses the school and dorms. It's nothing too impressive - just a two story cottage dwarfed by the mansion. Or at least that's what she thinks. Stepping through the front door, Magenta sees that the ceiling is at least four or five stories above her, and the rec center itself is immense, with sports rings dominating the center of a wide open space, and dozens of rooms lining the sides, housing all sorts of diversions - far more than the paltry few Vi had heard of. The space simply doesn't make any physical sense, but it only increases Violet's curiosity. "Woah. So, what do you wanna check out first?"
To say that Magenta was flummoxed by the spacial impossibility of what she witnessed would be an accurate assessment of her state. After stepping inside the building she spent several moments looking back outside before returning to the structure. Her eyes darted around the room as her brain struggled to comprehend what she had just experienced and she gripped her sister's arm, staying close to her.
"It's...
bigger on the inside." she stated dumbfounded.
Violet patted her arm reassuringly and the twins continued inside to explore. "Yeah, it's like the TARDIS in here." Vi replied but when Magenta raised her eyebrow questioningly Vi just replied "Never mind."
The basement had a go-cart racing tack, and a trio of skating rinks set up for different purposes: a speed track, and ice hockey rink, and a third for recreation or figure-skating. The main floor housed racquetball and squash courts, a gymnasium, wrestling and boxing rings, and had en exit out the back where there were basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts as well as a swimming pool. The second floor had an arcade, billiards room, 400-seat theater with a 50 foot screen, and performing stage with adjoining green room. The third floor housed a kitchen, bowling alley, massive lounge area with sunken couches, and large televisions that had satellite, streaming, and gaming consoles. The fourth floor was a library straight out of
Beauty and the Beast with reading rooms spread throughout. The fifth floor was a solarium with many different plants and trees inside, doors opened onto a balcony that contained suntanning spots and a slide and diving board that went straight into the pool below.
"Wow..." Magenta commented after seeing only the first floor. "This place is incredible."
"I know," Violet said giddily. "So?"
"Let's check out the lounge." Magenta.
Vi grinned and dragged her twin up the stairs.
