This is the discussion thread for my new story, The Azure Dungeon. It features new versions of characters from my old stories, and I could even say this is meant to be somewhat of a definitive version. A few characters will be a bit different from previous versions of the story, but nothing too exaggerated. The title of the story, "The Azure Dungeon", is the name of the club that the gang is going to create, you'll see more when it comes up in the story. Like I said in the other thread, I'm going to do this as a chaptered story; with the first chapter, I'm going to publish the threads as I finish them, but from the second chapter onwards, I'm going to publish it only when I complete the whole chapter. This is the link: https://chyoa.com/story/The-Azure-Dungeon.11023 Hope to see everyone there!
Something I was thinking about while writing, I know I said I had picked some pairings beforehand, but looking at my draft, I'm guessing that about 60~70% of the story can be written without defining those pairings. The idea I had was not picking the pairings until then and let the chemistry between the characters decide that matter, since sometimes, our writing can take us to a different place than the one we originally planned.
Considering the possibility of including a chapter where Heather fucks one of her father's business partners, I'm just not sure if it'd be good for the story as a whole.
Maybe I can write it someday when I have the time and publish it as a standalone short story on Tales of Silver Lake.
You can always make it just a dream or a fantasy, with Heather wondering "Where did that weird dream come from?", "What kind of weird fantasy was that?", etc. afterwards.
It's something Heather would definitely do if she happens to be feeling horny enough and the possibility presents itself. If it's a dream, she would know where the fantasy came from. I guess that, given that she might be the heroine of the story later, scenes like that tend to "spoil" the character for part of the readers, and I want to avoid that.
Well, there's your new "Hardcore Scenes" jumping off thread now. https://chyoa.com/chapter/A-series-of-hardcore-scenes.305310
Coming with a question for you guys. This week, I've got a promotion on my job that will make me work a lot more, meaning I'll have less free time. Even less time for writing, to be more specific. All my current projects are short ones, meaning I can keep them with occasional updates without a problem. Except for this one. I've only posted one chapter with 10 threads so far, and my planning tells me I still have more than twenty chapters left, which means about 250 threads, give or take. It's unrealistic with the little time I'll have, it'd take me forever to complete this, and I'd have to give up on the other projects. Since I don't want to completely stop with this, I'll pitch a question to you guys. Would you be interested in seeing this story becoming a quest? Starting from the point I stopped, of course. But there's a catch, I made some mistakes on my other attempts at quest stories, which was pitching choices I didn't want to write and those choices ending up winning. So, what I'm proposing is a quest only with scenarios I would want to write, meaning that some choices you might expect to see in a proper quest story sometimes won't be there at all; for example, if we stumble into the possibility of a scene I really want to happen, I won't give the choice to back off, only to decide how the scene will happen.
Congratulations on the promotion! Personally, i would like to see the story in the quest form that you have presented. I just have one question; will the story only show the perspective of one character and vaguely inform us about the progress of the other characters, or will we see the story from multiple perspectives? And could we, to some degree decide if Zack will end up with Victoria, Ashely or Chloe and Gavin with Heather or one of the other girls? Good luck and congratulations again for the promotion!
Thanks, it'll be very good for me! In times like these that I'm glad for finishing that branch on At the Cabin, I don't know how things will go on my end from now, I'll probably turn into a very casual writer. If I post frequently, it'll all be short chapters, I think. Well, I would keep writing as I did until now, shifting the focus between the characters. I think that letting the majority of the choices go to the readers will make the story shorter and allow me to post shorter chapters, so I don't have to stop writing it. I even thought about turning School Field Trip into a quest as well, but I decided to do it with just this one for now, since The Azure Dungeon would be a lot longer. I'll try to include plenty of choices with the possibility of leading to sex scenes or to character development, or even to a few crazy outcomes that don't get in the way of the story too much. Well, I guess it will ultimately be up to the readers how the story will go, if you guys don't see some choice that it normally would be there, it's because I don't want to write it at all. Regarding pairings, I shouldn't have any restrictions at all besides a few ones where I don't see the appeal, but let's see how the story goes.
Alright, started the quest branch. Just one choice for now, to better decide the setting of the scene.
Hannah's pool party getting into full swing! Have a few things planned for it, only downside for now is that people don't seem to want Brandon and Ashley to get a threeway, lol; less work for me, but it's one missed opportunity for a hot scene too.
