The Adventurer's Guild - RP Thread

Claudia looked with attention at Macek, mostly at his equipment. Simple helmet, gambeso and shield on his back it makes of him difficult oponent, but not imposible to defeat. His glavie gives him adventage of reach, so it will be better for her, to not let him use it. Claudia pull out her family sword and make quick pray to Gods to help her in coming fight. She takes deep breath and go sneaking behind Macek, to attack him from behind. Claudia put finger on her mouth, giving signal to peasant woman with pitchfork, to not alarm bandit.

The man at arms screams as Claudia swings, pivoting too late as he hears branches shatter beneath the weight of her feet. The old sword, aligned properly, slices through the gambeson and carves a slash along the man's side, which begins to freeze just as quickly.

"Aaah! Fuck, what the...?" The man pivots, slashing wildly with his polearm as he backs up and tries to gain some distance.

Damn, she's hot! Those boobs, those thighs, and almost certainly no panties... Yummy! Were Eran's first thoughts as he examined the dark-skinned elf. “Hello, miss! My name is Eran and yes, the Guild sent me. May I know who am I speaking to?” He asked the unknown elf. I hope her ass is as great as the rest of her...
"Ellaria Vael, assistant priestess at the Temple of Yselva." The woman answers crisply, frowning slightly as she sees Eran's gaze. "If you'll accompany me to the temple, my mistress has a task for you." She says, before crisply marching off. As she walks ahead of him, Eran sees that her ass, curvy and ample, is indeed as spectacular as the rest of her. "I heard that you're a local?" She asks as they walk.

Zilavra had to steel herself from jumping when her handler appeared. She knew that if she had reacted, she would have been given another beating. She had hoped that these tasks and tests would be done. She felt she was ready for the outside world and to challenge herself to improve her skills in service to her order. But she knew that they would continue to test her until they were satisfied.

The dark elf's only sign of frustration was a measured exhale, and her voice was even as she responded, "Of course. I live to serve The Talons."

She leaned forward slightly, a subtle bow in deference to her handler.
"There is a person who has learned of our order. How, I'm not quite sure, but what's clear is that he must be dealt with." Her handler's voice seems to hover in the air around the cavern, not coming from any particular place. "Are you willing to take a life for the Talons?"

“That could keep you alert, but it looks discoloured and expired. Why not just buy some alchemical ingredients for me to make something fresh? It would also help because I could tailor them to whatever situation needed.” Meira did her best to nudge the noble girl away from anything that didn’t sound too reliable. She almost thought a market like this might be more dangerous for her lady than anything else. She could even sense the strange amount of eyes in their direction, and not all just because she looked like an easy target.

Instinctively, she had to move in front of Celeste as the orc had begun talking. She would never allow trash like this to even dream about taking her lady’s virginity. After all….

“‘How do I say this….you’re kind of too spoiled for me. My friends are talented with bows and healing magic. They’re the kind of people I can go on adventures with. Can you do any of that?”

“I’m sorry. You’re pretty and everything, but I only want to marry a girl who’s also an adventurer too.”

“Hm? I guess….if I had to say, I like the kind of girl who would always help out those in need.”

The point of this journey was for Celeste to to become a hero to impress that boy. She didn’t see why. Maybe it was just the kind of young love where after being shot down for the forty seventh time, the noble girl just wanted to prove she could.

That boy also didn’t know Celeste as well as he thought. She might be silly and rather spoiled, but Celeste really was committed to helping others. Meira wouldn’t deny that her lady was high maintenance ever since the first days she met, but over time, that spoiled honest personality of hers had ended up growing on her. If what her lady wished for was a fairy tale like romance to that boy, she wouldn’t allow anyone as vulgar as this to even think about coming between it.

Still, it would be easier to just advise against her lady than publicly blast all the obvious ploys. The obvious leers she was getting for her body seemed almost minor in comparison. She knew that a lot of non elves tended to find her attractive. She knew that. She had heard a lot of…ideas from visiting nobleman not as quiet as they thought about what things they’d do with her and her sister under their house. And even among elf’s really she was something of a looker, even if they still expected her to be some kind of dark sorcerer. Which…..wasn’t entirely wrong, but…

Regardless, she wasn’t about to allow more than looking. She wasn’t pure, but that didn’t mean she’d open her legs for just anybody. Especially not for useless junk like this.

With a well practiced polite smile, she made the nudge for Celeste to put it back.

“It might be good for emergencies, but even just iron would do in that situation.” She didn’t expand on what, but the situation did come to mind. If it ever came to that, it would be good she had something, but then even just regular metal would work, if the target wouldn’t be wearing armor. But she wouldn’t allow such a situation to ever happen that close if she could help it either.

“Besides….you’d have to keep this one at the waist, and if you were ever grabbed in a situation like that, you’d want something that can be concealed and they couldn’t tell you’re reaching for it right away until it’s drawn and in them by surprise. It would have to be thinner than this and sleeker. Quality matters, but just about any sharp object can get in someone’s neck and chest easily enough. And ideally, you’d want it enchanted for good measure. Any other time, you have magic and monsters or bandits would never be getting that close between the two of us.”
Celeste replaces the steel on the counter, trusting instinctively in her friend's advice, as the orc snarls slightly. "Yes, I suppose it's not all that special, now that I think about it. No matter, thank you for your time, sir!" The blonde smiles sweetly, not quite seeing the dynamic that was going on beneath the covers, as she heads off to look for some new bauble to catch her interest. "I can't believe we'll be adventurers soon. Oh, how I can't wait!" She beams. "I bet you've had all sorts of negotiations like that, before we met."

The crowd is getting thicker as it comes time for midday market, and Meira has to hurry slightly to keep up with her charge. She doesn't notice anything amiss.

Eliza immediately sprung to her feet and wrapped her arms around Maelon's torso, giddy with excitement. "Really!? Oh Melinatra bless you Maelon, thank you! It's been so dull here."

She broke away from him with a grin from ear-to-ear. While she (surprisingly) quite enjoyed playing nurse maid to a bunch of adventurers, she'd never stayed in one place doing the same thing over and over again for so long. True her time spent serving the Goddess had often been repetitive, she'd still had experiences. She'd travelled to different sites and met different tribes, learned many different names, stories and ways to worship the goddess. But here at the Adventurer's Guild she thought things would be more... adventurous.

The most excitement she normally got was when the guild masters posted new jobs that they wouldn't let her take or when injured adventurers returned needing care. In the case of the latter, if the adventurer was particularly uncouth they were prone to taking liberties with her such as a stray hand on her rump, or a brazen squeeze of her breast. She'd been aghast the first couple of times that it'd happened, but now just ignored it.

Maelon had thankfully been a more than welcome companion. In truth she'd been enamoured herself with his boyish grin, good looks, and kind soul. She just wished he'd be more assertive and actually ask to court her. It wasn't like she'd say 'no'. But maybe his initiative to go after this new job would lead him to go after other things as well.

"So what's the job?" she asked excitedly and wrapped her arms around one of his. "Where are we going? What are we doing? Tell me everything!"
Maelon grins, his eyes widening slightly in delighted surprise at her exuberance. "Careful, you'll pull my arm off!" He chuckles. "We're heading to Collingworth - it's a port city across the Southern Sea." Eliza feels a slight chill as she hears the name - Collingworth is a haven for piracy and debauchery, quite a lawless place as far as she can recall, where the city guards are almost as criminal as the corsairs. "This travelling paladin is dealing with some local criminals, but he's been wounded. He needs us to use our restoration magic in case his wound gets worse in the fighting, and to watch his back." Maelon's eyes meet hers. "It's still a nursemaid job in a lot of ways, but one that lets us show the guild that we can think on our feet, and work well under pressure. That we're not just good for healing people and nothing else."

Damn, what a great ass this bitch has! Oh, how I'd love to cup a feel! Or better yet, bend her over and pound her tight ass full of my cum! Sadly, neither was an option since they were out in the open and she was walking ahead of him, so for now he would have to settle for ogling her. “A pleasure to meet you, Ellaria. Yes, I lived here for a time, though I left decades ago to seek adventure elsewhere. This is the first time I have returned since I left.” Eran replied, not giving any details. Feeling his pants start to get a little tight, he forces himself to look away from Ellaria's ass ad check out their surroundings instead.

The crowd is getting thicker as it comes time for midday market, and Meira has to hurry slightly to keep up with her charge. She doesn't notice anything amiss.
"....I don't think you'd want all the details. There were a few times, certainly." She knew the conversation was a lot different than what Celeste was thinking "....though, if you really wished it, I wouldn't even mind if that's what you would have me-" She swallowed and coughed for a moment.

"My sister and I survived on our own for at least a few years, so I know mostly what you need. First, you can't have enough ways to keep warm and out of the rain. Usually, Jasmine would get a lot of use out of her fire spells, but I can't actually use any of the primary elements all that well. Cotton is bad for about everything, but bear and deer fur works pretty well. A lantern, some traps for hunting, disease prevention herbs, canteens,-

She listed off some more practical options, as a lot of images went back through her mind. What she learned from practical experience by not having it weren't exactly great memories, she definitely learned a lot. Enough that she had to worry a little since her lady had never had to know starvation or freezing in her life. And then there was still the practical element of her needing to actually fight monsters or explore dangerous ruins. She wasn't willing to mention it just yet, but she knew her mistress would run into a problem with realizing the dangers involved.

"-and, of course, you'll still want your mirror and brush." She had to close it, by knowing how spoiled she was. She'd be demotivated if it felt too different from her ordinary life. "We'll likely be spending a lot of time outdoors in the middle of nowhere. Of course, I'll do everything possible to make sure it doesn't fall below your living standards."

She leaned a bit close to Celeste bringing up her fingers to just lightly touch along one of the golden strands of her mistress's hair.

"-I'll always make sure these locks are in perfect condition."

Calm down, calm down. This is just like any other job. Fei says to herself, knowing that her foreign look will gather some looks. And that wasn't adding in her curvy body, and slightly revealing clothes. Her qipao's slits making sure her every step gave anyone looking at her a chance to see her milky white thighs covered by her silky stockings. "Urgh." More than that however, she groans, "Come on, Peng. Stop lagging behind." She looks behind her, glaring at her first monster, a goblin she's named Peng. Fei made him carry their supply bag, and giving him a simple wooden club... more of a sturdy stick she found in the forest really, as his defense. "Ghh. Damn it, did I really have to get stuck with this creature as my first companion?" She grumbles, I should have brought more talismans, damn it. She thinks to herself as they continue on their way, the sweet scent in the air, combined with the cool breeze helping her relax somewhat.

Once they take a turn towards the designated house of her first client, Fei readies herself to hear out the quest's details. Though as she spots the wreckage left by the beast, It went for the hive, and left quite the trail through the crops. She tilts her head, placing her gloved hand onto the book holstered on her hip. "A bear... or a boar?" Fei didn't need to look at her special tome to give a guess, but she knew relying on a guess would lead to trouble. For now, she's determined to learn more about what happened her. And as she's greeted by an old, fat man. "Ah, good day, sir. Yes, the guild sent me here due to my expertise." Fei smiles, "Don't mind the goblin, he's a tamed companion." She points to the leather collar around Peng's neck. "Though I can already see what the problem is, I'd still like to ask if you've noticed anything strange? Any sound, or smell that's out of place." The young tamer decides to start her investigation by questioning the farmer.
"Uh, I see..." The farmer casts a curious look at Peng, who's walking around the cottage, poking and prodding at things seemingly at random. "So, you're experienced with the ol' beasties, I suppose?" He chuckles. "Well, I don't know much, unfortunately. I can tell you that whatever it is, it's fairly big. It growls and roars as it tramples my fields at night. The sounds aren't the type that a small monster would make. I might not be a monster expert, but I'd bet my farm on it."

Elaine Had one Hand enclosed on The grip of her sheated longsword. She moves slowly and deliberately as her Emerald Green Eyes Take in her sorroundings. Like any other Job from The Guild she would See this one trough. She Made over The Graveyard, being particular cautious of The Tombstones.
Elaine feels a sense of unease as she moves through the graveyard, keeping her distance from the ancient stone markers, the names of the deceased often written in old, forgotten languages. She almost feels like she can discern a rumbling coming from the ground in a few of them - but as she does, she starts hearing the noise of clanging coming from a nearby mausoleum.

Lyria looked up from her ale, which she had barely touched since ordering it, seeing her old... friends from the start of her thieving career. She drew her lips into a sly smile, ‘Ah, my favourite thieving twins... we do have a knack for running into each other, don't we?’

Eyeing them up and down for a moment, she chuckled, ‘And you two are just the same as I remember you.’ She rolled her eyes at their teasing, ‘I can squeeze through tight spots just fine with these.’ She gestured to her chest.

She was reminded that her current predicament was due to them, but could she blame them for it? They couldn't have known that those jewels were cursed, just a tiny part of a greater heist.

She let out a sigh, ‘Oh, how have I been? Good, good... but I've had better days. How about you two? Everything going smoothly?’

‘It wouldn't happen to be the two of you who requested me for a job?’ She asked, raising her eyebrow curiously.
"Heh, I'd pay to see it." The twins chuckle, as they sit down at Lyria's table. "Things are going better than smooth." Lauriel grins, leaning in. "We've got ourselves a hint on quite the nice score." Mirtha says, gesturing for one of the servers to come by.

"It's a bit of a unique one." Lyria explains. "We're stealing from some rich boy idiot. But it also involves a jaunt through an old tomb. Scared off yet?" She raises an eyebrow.

As she listens to the music Delphi wonders who would have ANY reason to kill a music teacher. But she suppose that after being alive for +400 years anyone would have a few skeletons in their closet. She probably hasn't always a music teacher either. Wonder what she was before...

Oh, the music has stopped. And Lydia is leaving the relative safety of the common room and is heading backstage. Where there are far less eyes, and thus witnesses. Well, guess there is nothing else to do but follow. Maybe she could get some personal lessons from the elf? Delphi is more of a singer than anything else (an instrument would just be 1 more thing to carry), but that doesn't mean she wouldn't be interested in a private lesson from the elf.

As Delphi starts to follow Lydia Melqart she starts to think of how she should introduce herself. She probably shouldn't just walk up and say, Hay, somebody is maybe trying to kill you. I don't know, the guild didn't give me a lot of details.
She would sound like some kind of crazy person!
(Nice profile pic :) )

Delphi stands, beginning to cross the crowded room, when she bumps into the broad chest of a man in her way. A muscular, tattooed thuggish looking man stands in her way, casting his eyes down at her.

"Heh, you oughta be more careful, love... Never know what kind of attention you'll get, you go barging into people like that." He looms over her, blocking her way to Lydia, who's making some polite conversation with admirers as she slowly moves to head backstage.

Delphi looks up at the big strong muscular man, she gives him a friendly smile. "Sorry about that"

Damn he is big, and those arms! He could probably lift me up with one arm. NO GIRL, FOCUS!

She pats him on the arm and goes around him while navigating through the crowd, "Excuse me, pardon me." trying to make her way closer to Lydia.

Ok, I just need to get close enough to keep an eye on her. I can introduce myself as a fan, ask for some private lessons. Hopefully she doesn't think that is an innuendo. Or maybe that wouldn't be so bad? She is kind of cute. Not as sexy as the big man though. I'll have to find him later when I'm not busy...

Claudia pressed forward, not letting Macek gains any distance. With technique practiced by hundreds hours, she swings her sword to block coming slashing from deserter and strikes him again, aiming at his throat.
D100 + 10 + 20 => 35
D100 + 10 => 102 (Crit!)

Claudia's HP: 102-35=67
Disarmed!

The man at arms displays that he's clearly not inexperienced. He backs up, battering away her sword with the flat of his polearm, thrusting it her way to keep her from getting into sword range. Then, he pivots the weapon downwards, between her feet. Jutting the haft to the side, he knocks Claudia off balance. The world turns upside down, as Claudia painfully falls backwards, rolling down the hill leading to the mill house. Her sword leaves her grip, clattering away somewhere to her side, as she lands painfully at the bottom of the hill. "You a rebel or a bandit? Either way, you'll die for that, fool!" He rushes down after her, weapon raised.

"I see. That explains why I know you not." Ellaria says, continuing to walk ahead of him, the slit in her dress continuing to teasingly hint at sliding away to reveal the curve of her ass, but never quite fulfilling the promise. Looking away, he sees a procession of priestesses heading towards the temple, with servants outside tending to the extensive gardens. "I only arrived here about ten years ago, with my sister."

"You always were the persuasive type." Celeste giggles, not quite understanding what her loyal friend is getting at. "Deer fur. Lantern. Traps. Got it..." Celeste says absentmindedly as she moves from stall to stall, examining the items on display. The blonde coos slightly as Celeste touches her hair. "You're too nice, Meira." She beams at her friend. "But I get the feeling that my hair's eventually going to get messy and there won't be much we can do about it." She chuckles.

The crowd gets even thicker, as more and more townsfolk and travellers come out to examine the wares on offer.

"I love it!" Eliza beamed excitedly, trying her best to hide her unease at their destination. Although the prospect of helping a noble and just man clean up a near lawless town appealed to her on some higher level too. "Let me pack some things and then I'll meet you at the shops. "O-Okay, sure. I'll head back to the men's dorm and we'll meet up after." Maelon nods, smiling with excitement. "It's, um, I'm... Uh... Glad my first adventure is going to be with you." He manages, before rushing off, courage spent.

Zendak hummed as he looked at the image... of a very appealing adventurer. He took out a pipe and lighted it to buy himself a time to think. She had a nice pair of titties... he was sure she would be a milker. A pity... maybe she had busty friends for his farm...

"The payment?" he asked his... employer. He wasn't working for free, after all.
"One thousand crowns." The mysterious figure says, as the magical projection dissipates. The light from his pipe seems only to enhance the shadows of the chamber. "Not including the fee paid to the Guild."

"Heh, any time, beautiful." The huge man rumbles, seemingly placated by her smile and her seeming interest in his physique. He moves aside - though not far enough that her bikini-clad breasts don't rub against his chest as she goes forth. Luckily, not having a lengthy encounter with the thug has paid off. Lydia is only just about to move through the curtains heading behind the stage, which is otherwise empty between acts. Delphi has just enough time to get on stage and catch the elf's attention before the woman disappears from sight.
