Well, that was probably the closest she'd get to approval from him. She didn't particularly mind. She wasn't especially interested in being his friend more than him just not being a nuisance to getting anything done.
As she looked at the young man, she still couldn't say she was that convinced letting him get too close to nobility was a good idea. All in all, the matter would be settled enough.
"I'm just as surprised as you are."
She didn't really have much a chance to speak with him before for obvious reasons, and it wasn't clear how much he actually knew about her. Evidently, not enough to know what she could do.
"I understand. We shall take our leave then." She said it firmly to the elf as she made her way for the prisoner to follow along, only stopping briefly to slip the necklace she took into his hand, just squeezing for a slight single moment before releasing and walking ahead.
"Imagine if those roots came out from under the bed and strangled you to death in your sleep. By morning, nobody would ever know what happened. How terrifying." She spoke quietly, but loud enough for him to hear as he followed.
As they made their way out, she stopped to hold the door open, with a graceful smile.
"Do be sure not to forget your manners in front of Lady Celeste."
