I will move the submissions later. It is just kind of a catch all for now and gives me more control over the in flow of stories. I just need enough stories to actually fill in a category first and if a category becomes crowded then it is filtered down into more specific sections like some science fiction is space opera while other might be cyberpunk.
I actually still like the idea of writing a whole story together. Like... stuff which actually happens in the library, and then somebody says "Oh, this reminds me of a story I once read..." or things like that. Or the librarian could ask in the beginning what kind of themes, topics, etc. you are interested in and depending on what's you interest, things could happen in the library, and then lead you to different stories which deal with the same kind of topics, kinks, etc.
Something like these chapters? Should qualify for "... stuff which actually happens in in the library ..." ;-) https://chyoa.com/chapter/Picture-B...ryhole-Portals-Time-Stop-Mind-Control).319590 https://chyoa.com/chapter/Size-Matt...big-cock--Straight,-Bi,-Futanari,-BDSM.319722
RicoLouis is the name I will be using for stories while I created ricolouis2 as separate account to do stuff like the library and polls "What happens in the library stays in the library."
Not sure. Maybe I should add that as an option from the start or as mentioned before maybe in different sections of the library with different themes. Then go back to the books.
Well you asked for it so here it is. What happens when the library closes for the night. https://chyoa.com/chapter/Closing-Time-(A-story-within-a-story-about-stories-).320014
I tip my hat to you. Not only is this all very, very much fun - it could also be a fantastic and useful playground for us authors.
What's everyone's opinion of the new alternative start I created to the "Closing Time" story-within-a-story?
I am not into lesbian scenes, but I appreciate and applaud every bit of creativity going into this library story.
I think it makes a lot of sense to have a female character start to the After Hours section. Women read erotica too. Of course it's a little weird with the 'Mr. Reed' line... but I never go out of my way to change character names in the options menu. It wouldn't be weird if I took the time to do that.
Yes, I understand that it will not be to everyone's taste, but I felt it was important to at least have an alternative start for ladies visiting the story...
Speaking of which, there's a part on page one of the story where the librarian refers to your alternate persona as "reader" I think there was supposed to be a user set tag there, but isn't, could our illustrious host fix that?
@RicoLouis: I suggest to create another variable in the story options: { female first name } or something along the way, with a female name or title (Ms. Reed) as the default value. That way, you don't break the immersion for the reader who doesn't change these options in these chapters which are clearly designated for a female character. Of course, if somebody always wanted to be referred to as a woman, he or she would now need to change two variables. I guess you can't have everything ;-)
