“T-2!” The pilot screamed as the engines roared.

The lights flickered, changing into dim red. Everyone sat in silence, waiting. No one said anything.

The ship shook and lights flickered. Ahina realised a blaster hit the shields.

“They detected us! We are coming in hot!” The pilot screamed through the speakers.

“Get ready.” The calm voice of the leader came to her ears. She along with others got up and prepared her weapons. The ship started shaking more – the pirate's AA fire was surprisingly accurate.

The next few moments were filled with waiting – the Mandalorians could not do anything as they were approaching the pirate base – everything was in the hands of the pilot... who was not her.

The ship shook as the blaster fire penetrated the shield and burned the armour. The Cathar Mandalorian grabbed the handrail as she swayed on her legs. She tensed as she realised this would be a close one.

“Breaking in!” Cara screamed as the shuttle shook when its blasters started firing.

A moment later the shuttle shook, and a terrible screech could be heard inside.

A moment later the ramp opened, showing of inside of the hangar of the asteroid and pirates firing at the ship. The Mandalorians advanced outside, firing and finding cover behind the crates.

The battle against the pirates began.

Ahina breathing slowly, claming down her heart beating, to be focus and ready for combat.
For the last time she checked her blasters, move her prosthesis leg to make sure everything was in order. She take a look at her clan members, all ready to fight, all of them with helmets on their faces.
Ahina doesn't see their eyes, but she know each one of them, her brothers and sisters, eache one of them trust her and she trust them with her own life. She just nod to them, ready for action.

When ramp finaly open, Ahina advanced outside among warriors, firing from her two blasters and finding cover behind crates.

This is such a tense and action-packed scene. Love the Mandalorian vibe and the chaos of the pirate battle. Feels like I’m right there in the hangar with them. Great job!

The Imperial Lambda shuttle took off from the hangar of Venator II-class Star Destroyer, flying over the city. Moments later, two TIE fighters, screaming, joined the shuttle, flanking it. The ship flew over the city, passing the tall buildings with Imperial flags, waving in the wind.

Soon, the shuttle reached a large building—the wings of Lambda started flooding—before it landed, the two TIEs flew away. The ramp opened, and Ina Votilik walked out, her stormtrooper bodyguards following her.

As she walked out, she noticed two rows of stormtroopers, standing attention, and in front of them an officer.

“Governor!” Yara Stavik stood attention. “We were not expecting you for another couple of days.” She stated with some worry. No wonder, the travel to the Sector capital to meet with Moff should have taken more time, but unfortunately, the Moff was.... unavailable at the time. As in not in a system. It was chaos. Ina decided to return to her system, instead of waiting, not sure how much, before the governor returned or someone took charge.

She shudders, shaking her head as thinks of the perverted Rodian who she has found herself indebted to thanks to his massive efforts during her election campaign.

Of course, Ina was able to pay him back slowly. However, with his increasing demands, even threats of pulling out his support within her planet's growing economy. She couldn't risk losing his help, leaving her no choice but to accept the merchant's perverted advances. "Haahn." The explosion rocked the building. Casey moved low, to avoid blaster bolts flying over her head. She stuck to the balcony's walls and looked over it - there was a bunch of imperials - a mix of imperial army tropers and stormtroopers.

"For the Rebellion! For the Republi-!" The foolish las who started screaming and firing as she got from the cover wass quickly cut down next to Casey. Scout trooper snipers.

A towering Wookie next to her roared. He raised a heavy repeating blaster and fired a long serries, cutting the sniper and several stormtroopers. He quickly hid behind the wall as several angry red blasters flew past him.

"For the Empire!" Casey cursed - starting rebellion on this moon and taking it from imps was supposed to be easier. The imps showed themselves being stubborn. And now they were going on offensive?

She glanced up and froze as in the sky, she saw a behemoth cutting the smoke and emerge from dust. An Imperial Star Destroyer!

That means that the Imps had reinforcements of maybe even a Legion of stormtroopers!

She cursed as the AT-ST walked out of the smoke and started firing at their positions.

She had been in tighter situations before, but she couldn’t name many. But her habit of not staying dead was something she wanted to keep going. But now they were in a difficult spot. Her preferred tactics of space combat were limited and they didn’t have the numbers to deal with large resistance.

But the options were limited. They’d overwhelm positions with their size and if she funnelled them into one place that would cut off their own retreat.

Still, she absolutely could not afford to let them spread out.

“Artirelly! Cover fire!”

She relayed orders and coordinates on her coms as she signalled for her soldiers to fall back. They’d have to keep the stormtroopers from advancing so they could regroup. A full fire fight would be very difficult.

“Wing Z on the lane!”

She’d have her fighters come in to thin them out through quick hit and runs in ground troops. The point wasn’t to beat the troopers but mobilize an opening to withdraw.

“All units! Pull back for evac!”

She left a few chips on the desk - probably was gathering it for weeks - but a few credits. She then ran out, as if afraid - which she probably was.

Nami put her things into her bag and quickly left, moving around alleyways. She stopped as as she saw a couple of guard escorting three individuals - a female nd two males. Their clothes looked well, they looked healthily and their eyes... Unbroken. New acquisitions. They were probably taking the three to slave market.

Nami observed for a moment, then continued on her way.

Soon, she reached her ship - only to pause. The ramp was opened. She left it closed.

Standing at the bottom of the ramp, Nami stared up into what should be safety of her ship – now with a sense of growing dread. She pressed her hands to her breast to stop them from shaking, and to check for the hard outline of her holdout blaster, tucked into its hidden holster under her coat. A small thing, underpowered – mostly useful for waving in a street thug’s face to warn him off.

She didn’t know what, or who, she might find on board. Perhaps it was nothing – a malfunction, or perhaps thieves who had already come and gone. Or it could be someone – more than one someone – who meant her harm. The uncertainty was all the more frightening, making her imagination run wild.

But if she walked away, the Paraselene might not even be there when she got back, and she had nobody to turn to for help – nobody who she wouldn’t be putting in ever greater danger than herself. And maybe – just maybe, whoever was on board was someone who needed her help…

Taking a deep breath, she walked slowly up the ramp, the sound of her heels clicking against the metal sounding even louder than the thumping of her own heart.

The myriads of voices filled the casino as various clients tried their luck in different games that the Casino offered. The waitresses were walking around, offering drinks, skimpily clad dancers were dancing on platforms hovering over the ground.

In the centre of the room, on a throne, sat the owner of the Casino, Darra Hutt, with several beautiful females surrounding him. His loud laughter could be heard around the chamber.

The place was alive, pulsing with energy.

Joachim Guenther sat by the table, the dealer sorting the cards for the Paazak. He lost a couple of hands and won a few.

“Lucky night, Mr Guenther?” He turned to look at the hooded woman who at some point sat by the table. Only at this moment, he realised she was there.

He got a feeling about her... dangerous.

The Torguta woman placed a couple of chips.

Only after a moment he realise – she called his real name.

Coruscant Corusca Sector Core Worlds

The Curich-class shuttle flew towards the planet. For a moment, there was suspense as the imperial shuttle approached the New Republic's space. Quora could see the garrison Navy from her point.

“Request for the codes. Transmiting.” The droid informed in a dull voice. The Hand waited – she paid quite much for those codes and - “Accepted.” The pilot reported.

The shuttle made its way to the surface.

She looked at the familiar landscape. Once the beating heart of the Empire, the symbol of Peace and Order... now in the hands of the New Republic and the restored senate. The senate, with all of it's flaws. The republic was not even well re-established, and the creature already started eating itself.

The shuttle landed in one of the civilian ports. Quora exited, leaving the droids behind as she made her way through familiar alleys.

Soon, she found what she was looking for.

A former COMPNOR office... abandoned and left to root... now, a bar with alcohol and prostitutes. And somewhere in the building, a secret compartment with a case of drugs... drugs Quora so desperately needed.

Now the prospect of a reconciliation was worth any price. "With the expansion of the 'rebels'-" she always made a point to refer to them as such in Daveed's presence. He felt calling them the 'New Republic' legitimized them and it made him irate when he heard the term "-we've lost a lot of our markets. We need to think outside the Empire if we're going to survive. " she soothed.

"Besides," she added with a coy grin "empires are built on Commerce, Communication and Control. We bring more commerce to the Empire and they may just kick the rebels out of the core worlds yet. And then guess who gets the thanks for that?"

Alan's last mission was a... mixed bag. He failed the target of extraction from the imperial facility but managed to get the New Republic's infiltrators. The Republic's command was not amused.

But they managed to slip by and return to Republic's space to one of its words.

And now... he had some deserved R&R.

“Well, hello soldier~” He looked up from his drink and smiled at the sight of easy on eyes, Zeltron.

Those folks had a reputation for being emphatic and fun loving... and quite open when it came to close encounters~

Ahina and the Mandalorians advanced forward, the blasters kept singing in her hands as she ran forward to the cover. Her fire hit a pirate in the chest as he was firing. Then, as the man fell, another pirate moved from his cover to fire at her, only to be hit square in the face by one of her blasters - she wasn't even aiming at him.

She hid behind the crate as the pirates reorganized - they did have a home advantage. Then a string of blaster fire hit her crate, moving it a little. She could feel the heat. It took her a moment to realise - they had repeating blasters!

Yara was a young officer she had met before. She was the one who had met her before and greeted her on the planet, but Ina never paid her much attention. Not until now.

As she entered the private room, her stormtroopers stopped by the door, flanking it and acting as guards, allowing her to work. The reports of the planet she ruled, Ord Simres, were old. But there were a few things that she could catch up with, to take her mind of the Bid.

As she took stock of the situation, there were requests for a mining permit from a small company. Her planet had a few points of interest, but due to republic negligence, it was still mostly untapped. There was much place to develop the planet to her liking... if she played her cards right~

There was a knock on the door, interrupting her musings.

On Casey's command, the mobile mortars opened fire, giving them so much-needed cover for her fighters to retreat.

As she gave orders the Comms officer screamed to her.

"Wing Z on the line!" As Casey took the comlink, she heard the leader of the wing speak.

"Commander! The sky is full of new TIEs! We will not be able to hold here for long!"

Before she could answer, she heard a scream coming from her side.

"They are flanking us!"

Casey froze. If they manage to flank them, they would cut of their way back to the ships!
