Ahina take a look at pirates, looking in their position for way to flank them off. She find one and call to her fellow mandalorians. „Soren, your have strongest machine blaster of us all. On my command you will give us cover fire while we will flank their positions and throw grenades at them. When it’s blow up up, we shoot leftovers. Any questions”? She said and if there was none, they began her plan.
Slowly, she made her way up the ramp, each of her steps thundering in her ears. Intellectually, she knew that her steps were not that loud. Yet... it was difficult to convince her ears about that. The lights were on - it was her ship! Her home! She should feel safe here! Not... that! Her heart hammered, as she slowly made her way deeper - only to freeze as she hear something. A noise coming from inside. "Ah, welcome back!" She heard a familiar voice and as she made a few last steps, she found herself looking at a familiar face... Thassco was sitting in her chair and drinking her caff. "How was your day - made much of credits?" He asked.
The man frowned. "B-but... won't this be considered a treason? To trade with Rebels?" He shook his head. Spoiler: Persuasion 7+15 vs DC 13 - success He sighed, resigned. He was almost there, Kateryn realised. He just needed a push, something that would make his actions legal in the eyes of the empire. He knew exactly, that the new markets would save their company... but he was also afraid. Afraid that should the Empire find their dealings, they would lose everything... worse, that they would be branded traitors. And considering what the Empire had done with the last captured rebels...
The woman's lips quirked upward, but she did not answer. Instead, she played cards. The game seemed to absorb her... and after a couple of moments, when the dealer finished the game, she had a couple of more chips by her side. "You would be correct, we have not met. And you could say that you are known." She said as she glanced at Joachim. "Through, I would not use the word, famous, doctor." She said with a neutral voice, as her eyes darted back to the table. She waved her hand for the dealer to give her another card. After checking it, she threw another chip on the table.
"A mining permit?" Ina gives their request a quick glance, checking out the company, what they're trying to mine, and the terms they're asking for when it came to profits. And as Ina was reading up on the proposed contract, the knock on her door caught her by surprise. "Who is it?" She calls out, knowing her guards wouldn't dare knock on her door for no reason. She stands up, moving to check on who her guest might be.
The woman gave him a slight smile, nodding her head. "Charmed." She speaks, her voice low, smooth. "What does bring such a man as yourself to a place such as this?" She asked curiously. As she looked around, he followed her eyes. Ture, there were not many people of the same trade as him in this place.
The man nodded his head, preparing a sizeable heavy blaster. Two Mandos near hear also nodded their heads. Spoiler: Tactics Mandalorians 15 vs DC 10 - success At the signal, Ahina and two others started making their way to the pirate's position. Soran got up and started firing, bringing the heat on himself. Spoiler: Blaster 4+19 Vs DC 15 As the trio run, four pirates stood in their way, hidden behind the covers. Ahina's blaster screamed again, dispatching one at the start of the run and another one, moments later. But the other two were unmolested and engaged her two comrades in melee, leaving her alone... and she did not have grenades for the work.
As she answered, the door opened, and a stormtrooper - one of her own entered. "Governor." She heard a deep voice. "Something's happening." He said as he pointed outside. As she glanced, she realised that the normally calm imperial building was now more chaotic, with officers and officials running around. There was even a group of stormtroopers running to one of the exits.
Ahina have no time to curse herself for forgetting grenades. She make quick decision to fire at pirates which engaged her comrades in melee, risking friendly fire. They all have mandalorian armor, so she shouldn't kill them in accident.
"What in the world?" Ina gasps, but quickly regains her composure due to her own experience in combat. "Get our men to make a defensive perimeter. And send someone to learn what exactly is going on here." She gives her orders, "Really now." She shakes her head, "Go. We can't just leave whatever this mess is alone." She adds, still thinking like a soldier whose duty is to keep the peace, rather than a politician who'd normally think of her own safety first. "Get started on the perimeter, and look out for any escaping civilians." Ina sends her men to do their job. And once the door closed, she immediately removes her dress, "Who would be foolish enough to attack an imperial planet?" She thinks to herself, moving to her wardrobe, donning her own combat gear. Spoiler Afterwards Ina heads out of her room to look for the captain of her guards, "Status report."
Coruscant, the heart of the galaxy, but even the brightest pearl had a dark underbelly. Quora's boots tapped through the rain- and neon-slicked alleys, the scents and sights well acquainted to her. It's nearly… nostalgic, she thought, as she walked past a display window and pulled her cloak closer around her. She had walked these streets plenty a time before, hunting some slum lord or cartel boss. A sense of foreboding touched her mind, as she took in her surrounds with a practised eye, always aware, these parts weren't exactly known to be friendly for a woman out alone at night. And with the Empire gone and a fledgling Republic trying to get a grip on things? It was a cocktail that would make low-lifes bold and reckless. She wasn't going to be caught unawares by some mugger. The old office loomed before her, now a dive bar as it seemed. How the mighty had fallen. She had an urge to teach everyone inside a lesson for desecrating and stealing Imperial property, but what would that have accomplished? She had more pressing matters to attend to, and exacting petty revenge on strangers would not bring Imperial rule back to Coruscant—or Lord Vader back to her. She scanned all the loiterers outside—a few Rodians and the Nautolan prostitute they were trying to haggle her price with—no threat to her at least. She looked for an alley around the side of the office, trying to map all the entrances and exists. She wasn't going to step into a place without knowing how to get out again.
Nami stood frozen for a moment as she processed what she was seeing, before letting out the breath she’d been holding. Fear gave way to…confusion, uncertainty. Why would Thassco seek her out now? I don’t belong to him anymore, she told herself. He has no hold over me. How she wished that second part were true. The bonds of slavery were not so easy to break. The urge to please this man, to be a good little servant, still ran deep. “Mister Thassco,” she said, after a moment – her tone as polite and professional as she could manage. “This is an unexpected pleasure.” No sarcasm – pure flattery. Making him feel good about himself was what mattered. She took a few steps closer. “As for credits, well. You know I’ve never had your keen mind for business.”
"Waiting for a woman like you." Alyn smirks. "I have a stressful job - I like to find relaxation wherever I can find it."
Spoiler: Combat 19+4 Vs DC 15 - success Ahina aimed her blasters, as the two were engaged in combat. It was taking them some time against pirates - veterans would have already dispatched their opponents, but those two were new. Her blasters traced the pirates, until, at one moment, she pulled both triggers. The blasters sang, spitting two angry bolts - and the two pirates fell on the ground, dead.
A stormtrooper with a pauldron on his shoulder stepped confidently up to Ina. "There seems to be chaos going on here, without Moff. I contacted ISD Glory, and they report sizeable rebel fleet that just entered the system." He said. Even with growth of the rebels, the man refused to call New republic anything but rebels. Glory... That was the name of her Venator II SD. The most powerful ship in her forces. "Captain Helix reports that the fleet that arrived, is of enough power to take the system. She suggests evacuation." The stormtrooper commander reported.
Ahina wave for them. "Come on noobies, we have work to do!" She command and lead them to flank pirates in the central positions. "Throw your grenades" Ahina order and when grenades explode, she with her two men shoot at survivors.
"What?" Ina was shocked at the information she received, "Damn." She clicks her tongue, if the rebels did have enough power to take the system, she had no way to fight them off. Not when most of her fleet is back in her own system keeping the peace. "Alright, we retreat. Rescue any survivors running towards us, after that, we rendezvous with the Glory." She gives her orders, They attack just when the Moff is gone. She thinks to herself, Coincidence... or is there a traitor within? She ponders as she waits for rescue operations to end before they take off.
(Nice pics!) Quora observed the building, taking in all the details she needed. COMPNOR offices were made to survive a siege of dissatisfied population, but also to serve as offie of propaganda - thus it was not made into a bunker. It was a symbol of strength of the Empire. The front entrance was an obvious one - but also could be easily fortified - it was guarded by one guard who allowed entrance inside. Spoiler: Perception 7 vs DC 10 - fail There was the back entrance, but it was also an obvious point of entrance. Then there was the roof hatch, but those things were notoriously jamming. Quora knew those buildings enough to know that there should be also a technician's hatch somewhere under the building... It just required some... Crawling.
Kateryn placed a delicate finger over her husband's lips to 'shush' him without say a word. "But we're not really trading with Rebels are we?" she insisted before slowly descending to her knees. The blonde gently pushed her husband's legs apart and nestled herself between them before she moved her hands to his belt buckle and started to unfasten it. "We're repatriating our son and using our enemies assets against them." Her submissive eyes moved up to lock with her husband's again while she fished his hardening member out of his pants. "Glory to the Empire." she said quietly to him before kissing the tip of manhood and taking the head into her warm mouth.
