The new Adopt a Story Program

Sorry if this has been asked and answered elsewhere, but is there a standard or appropriate length of time for the story to be abandoned or author absent before requesting access?

We typically require six months of inactivity by the story owner before a story becomes eligible for adoption. This waiting period helps ensure that the original author has truly abandoned the project before others step in to take it over.

Is it possible to become a limited editor? Like you can't delete any chapters, but you can edit some of them for legibility, going through with spell checks and just trying to make it sound better and within the author's intent just a few minor tweaks to make it better for everyone involved who wants to read it.

I'm only assuming this could be a feature because there is an option for a "limited editor" when you create the story

Could you expand on what inactivity means? Do i just need to log in on the site, do I need to upload in general or do i need to upload to every story individually. Does editing count?
Does it matter if I'm able to be contacted and still approving chapter even if i'm not writing myself?

These depend on the answers to my other questions, but also:
Is this true for private stories or just stories that others could contribute to before my inactivity?
And what if my story line on a moderated/public story is simply finished?

Finally if someone "adopts" my story could I still delete it if I wished too?

Sorry for the many questions, but I got a little worried about keeping my stories on the site (and couldn't find the answers myself).

 

Inactivity means that you aren't logged in.

(Users have the option to hide when they are online, but moderators can still see when a user was last online.)

If you are unsure, you can ask Friedman to specifically exclude your stories from adoptions even after you weren't logged in for a long time.

 

I'd like to adopt Die Müllers — CHYOA ; the original author seems to be absent since years.
