She feels slightly embarrassed - of all things - as she realises the nature of the doors. With a frown and another sigh, she abandons her attempts, and continues her route around the building, now searching for a back entrance, or possibly access to the roof, moving a little quicker now as she tries to make up for lost time.
Seri moves behind the building - ! She stops as she hears voices in the back. As she carefully glances from behind the wall, she notices two people talking to each other, one drinking from the bottle - one was definitely a female...
Seri feels a swift thrill of panic, freezing up for a moment, unsure of whether to move ahead, or turn back. Paralysed with indecision, she lingers, and tries to pick up what she can from the conversation between the two - any useful information, or insights she can use.
Spoiler: Perception 9 Vs DC 10 - fail The Zeltron moved closer, to eavesdrop on the duo. But as much closer she came, she realised she could not make out what they were speaking about - not without moving even closer and risking discovery.
Seri steels herself, and prepares to take what might just be the dumbest risk she’s ever attempted. She adjusts her neckline, heightening her already generous cleavage, and adopts a confident swagger, her chin raised. rounding the corner, she looks the pair dead in the eyes, and takes in the bottle. “Just what the kriff are you two playing at? Stop messing around and get to work!” she throws everything she has into the performance, praying that her pheromones don’t betray her this time, trying to present the image of a woman in charge.
Spoiler: Persuasion 19 + 2+1+1 (persuasion+ Subterfuge street creed) Vs DC 15 - success The duo, two young looking lasses - a human and a green skinned Mirialan looked at Seri with fear before quickly turning and running back to the warehouse through the back door, leaving them opened.
Seri can hardly believe it’s worked, and after a moments pause to take in her success, she quickly makes her way inside as well. She throws a follow-up glare at the two women for good measure, then takes in her surroundings, eyes searching about for a likely location for her target.
Olena blinked, before nodding with a slight smile. She was pleased to be in the in group... Even if it was probably because she happened to be on watch this time.
Cradling her arms around her aching body, Nami struggled to her feet. The cold liquid, and the smell, drove her to move – though she felt just as dirty inside as out. For a while, she stared ahead without really seeing what was in front of her. The reality of what had happened was too much to fully process. Deep down she knew she would crumble if she tried to confront what had— what had been taken… She touched a hand to her belly, feeling the warmth nestled there. Were Nautolans and Weequay compatible for—? She couldn’t remember. That sense of urgency, more than anything else, pierced through the fog of shock. She had to get back to her ship. The one place, the one thing in the galaxy, that still meant safety. Every step painful, she began to search around, looking for…what? A way out, a way to raise the alarm, a droid she could communicate with. There had to be something down here…
As she looked around she could not see anything that would match what she was looking for behind the warehouse... She realised that it was probably somewhere inside... And that was quite a big building.
"You heard me right." Adot continued. "From now on, those of you here are field promoted to command. Each of you will lead a cell." She paused. "The situation is as follows. We lost contact with fleet, so it means it was probably destroyed or forced to retreat. We are stranded and hunted down by the Empire. At this point, we can safely assume that the invasion has failed." She paused and looked around the present. "Now, I will hear suggestions for next course of action - if any of you have ideas, speak now." The lieutenant looked around the gathered.
As she looked around, trying to see in deem light, she saw much of junk, pipes, trash, laying in small hills. Sorting of that would take hou- ! Nami paused as she heard sound... Then she felt a water hit her thigh - something made a wave. In the corner of her eye, in the darkness, she saw something move... Or did she?
A fresh wave of panic chilled Nami’s bones. Was there something in here with her—? She tried to scramble up out of the water, onto any solid surface she could find. Coughing as she struggled for breath in the foul air. Still searching around for a way out – she had to get away from here.
Seri slips inside on the heels of the other women, casting her eyes around to get the lay of the land as she enters. She realises too late that she’s not sure how big this ship part is, and hopes she’ll be able to carry it off without too much trouble. She makes her way around the edges of the warehouse, keeping to the shadows. It’s unlikely she’ll be able to pull off the same trick twice, so stealth is probably her best option here. She keeps her eyes out for signs of any goods, or mechanical parts - anywhere that loot, supplies, or items of interest might be stashed. As she goes, it occurs to her that there might be more she can make off with than what she’s come for.
Naomi quickly managed to get on top of pile of trash. As she looked around, she saw no movement. Little calmer now, she looked around... And saw something that looked like door, on the far end of the room. The problem was she would need to either jump from pile to pile, moving around the edge of the room or quickly move through the water to reach the door.
Seri moves through the back of the warehouse - the shelves were stacked with various parts and components. She could walk out of this place with bags of equipment. If she could carry it... Or find a speeder to transport it. She looked around, and realised that the part could be anywhere in the warehouse. There was a back space, were the equipment was stored, the common area were some of the gangsters were hanging out, the upper floor with closed room - it used to serve for administration purposes she would guess. She had three places to search for the part... If it was outside of the box, it would be easiest. As she looked around, she found a number of rifles laying on the shelf. There were trinkets, some devices, clothes, canned foods and drinks...
Seri takes a moment, trying to stay on task and not get distracted. But she can’t help peering over the closest items. She barely knows the right end of a rifle, but having one could very well help as a deterrent if she runs into trouble… She grabs the most compact looking choice, slinging it over her shoulder, and glances at the devices for anything useful. With her loot, she decides to check the back space first, wanting to keep away from any groups until absolutely necessary.
Seri grabbed the first rifle that fell into her hand - it looked to have been used in the past. There are scratches on it and it's slightly dirty. Some of the devices Zeltron recognized as some kind of scanners, but she lacked knowledge to tell anything more. As she starts checking the back of the room, she realises quickly that it will take much time. There are bunch of shelves, most of them with something on it. Some even had boxes. As she looked around, she realised a Miraluka female was slowly walking around the shelves, with a datapad.
Her breathing steadied a little, Nami weighed her options. She really didn’t like the idea of going through the liquid again. But making her way around…there was no knowing what she might step on or disturb in those putrid piles. With her medical experience, she could only think of all the sharp objects and dangerous waste lying in wait for her unprotected skin. One wrong step, one slip, could be the end. Not that the “water” seemed any cleaner, but she’d already been immersed in that. And there was no sign of movement. She needed to get through – quickly – and find a way out of here before it was too late. She braced herself and climbed back down into the water, intending to swim across as fast as she could manage. Shivering as she felt its touch to her naked body. Surely – surely nothing could be in her with her, no…
Olena quietly gulped at the dreaded mention of responsibility... Then again, she had been spitting a lot of ideas. Maybe she had it coming - a sort of put-up-or-shut-up from Adot. Sighing to expel the building anxiety in her gut, the Amazonian Amaran stood up a little straighter. "I've mentioned it before, but I think it bears mentioning with everyone else; I think it would be best for us to try to siphon support, or at least resources, from any settlements in the area. We might be able to report on the Imperial presence back home and get some reinforcements to bail us out or build up enough connections with the locals that we can make up for the power imbalance between us and the garrison."
