Seri can’t quite suppress a groan of dismay as she hears the cry, and the fall. Has she just killed someone? She can’t stop to think about it. Her hands dart over Kaangor’s chest, without really knowing what she’s looking for. All that time spent in the lab and her medical knowledge is next to nothing… She shakes him gently by the collar, trying to get him to focus, just for a moment. “Bacta - where can I find bacta! Tell me you have a first aid kit around here!”
The man weakly raises his hand pointing at the wall - as Seri turns she notices a box for first aid. As she checks it, she finds a couple of bacta patches - all of them expired. Serif pauses as there was a loud thung from the other side of the wall - the rifle went silent.
She’s no idea if there’s any point, but she applies the patches all the same. Once again, she curses herself for not paying more attention to Kylos’ work. How disappointed he would be. Removing her jacket, leaving her arms bare in all their soft pinkness, she folds it, pressing it against the bartender’s chest and placing his arm on top. She’s sure that compressing a wound is sensible? Didn’t she read that somewhere. Staggering back to her feet, she hurries to the door, trying to find some way to lock or barricade it, before they end up with more unwelcome company.
Nami shivered, her pulse racing, as the memories flashed back through her mind. “No, we – we’re not safe here. As long as we stay, we should make sure nobody is left alone.” Everything she could think of to say or do added to the house of cards that would fall down around her as soon as her secret shame became known. They were all going to despise her. But right now, she had to do the best she could for them. “There’s something I didn’t tell you,” she said quietly. “I – I was stupid, took a wrong turn – someone tried to r-rob me. I lost some of my things, had to leave them behind. My bag, my jacket. I couldn’t go back to get them, not on my own.” The half-truth. She couldn’t make herself tell them the rest. How eagerly she’d given in. How she’d lost herself to pleasure while— no! She tried to push those thoughts down.
Spoiler: Tech 2+6 vs DC 10 - fail Serif looked around and found a tech panel for the door. She got up and opened it, and started messing with wires. ! She had to step back as suddenly sparks flew from the panel. Either installation was old or someone messed up with connections! She glanced through the door - the shadows with blasters were almost at the door!
Kaelaen stopped and turned to her sharply,a s Jura moved and quickly embraced Nami. "It's allright~" She said as she embraced Nami. "You went out of this situation with your life. That's the most important thing." She continued hugging her and whispering sweet comforting words.
Seri smacks a small, sweaty palm against the wall in a barely contained burst of panic. She’s let herself be backed into a corner, and all because she couldn’t just ignore her conscience. So much time spent on the run, looking out for herself, and it’s all fallen apart in one catastrophic moment. Her lip trembles, tears sparkling at the corner of her eyes, but she forces herself to move. Peering around, she tries to drag the semi-conscious Kaangor into the deeper shadows, or to some area of concealment, crouching low as she tucks them both away, her blaster in her hand.
Nami gritted her teeth, still trying to hold back the feeling – her resolve lasting about two seconds. She wrapped her arms gratefully around Jura and hugged her tight, shuddering as the tears began to flow. Feeling the tension ease ever so slightly as she focused on Jura’s comforting words.
Spoiler: sneak 1+1 vs DC 14 - critical fail Seri started dragging the man- "Stop." A short command made her freeze. She looked up, and there was a human male, an older one, with a white beard, aiming at her with a blaster. Behind him, two others entered, also aiming at her. "Slowly, hands up." He ordered.
The two embraced each other. For a moment, no one said anything. The two were comfortable, allowing Nami to take as much time as she wanted to recover.
Finally, Nami gave Jura a little squeeze of thanks before gently separating from the hug. Wiping her eyes, she looked up at the other two. “I-I let you all down, I’m sorry,” she said. “But, now you know. I probably won’t find my bag again, but I feel like I have to try. Seems like every credit is going to count.”
Seri locks up, even as her heart plummets into her icy guts. Slowly, she turns her flushed, pink face towards the older man and his henchmen, her crystal blue eyes wide and frightful. Her blaster is still in her hand as she raises them instinctively in surrender, any thought to fight overridden by the commanding tone of the gunman. “Please.” She offers, plaintively, “I’m just… he’s injured. I just wanted to help.”
Jura gently patted Nami's back. "Don't worry about it. You are safe, not captured - you escaped with your life and freedom - that's a success!" The pilot smiled. Kaelaen nodded her head in silent encouragement and agreement.
Three blasters are aiming at her. "Drop it." A command comes from the leader, as your words are ignored, as you are seen as a danger at this moment. You now had a better view of the group. A male Trandoshan and two female Twi'leks.
Nami almost gasped at Jura’s touch, glancing between her and Kaelaen’s accepting faces. Another shiver of emotion, but a warm one this time. A sense of comfort, reassurance. It was an unfamiliar feeling, almost confusing – difficult to trust. But she had to count on her friends, as they counted on her. “Thank you.” Her voice was small, but she found herself smiling. “We, um.” She looked down at the woman on the cart. “Well, we’d better get her somewhere more comfortable. And I promised you’d get to see my ship, didn’t I?”
The pistol falls from Seri’s hand with a clatter. She can’t do much else but obey, given the number of guns pointing at her, and the commanding tone, which seems almost to flip a switch of obedience in her head. She gazes up at the three with plaintive eyes, and though she does her best to express pitiful surrender through her pheromones, she truly is defeated. “Puh-p-please, I duh-d-“ she pauses, gulping for air, her stammer overtaking her. “I don’t - don’t want any trouble. I juh-just need his help.”
Kaelaen nodded and started pushing the cart. Jura joined her after a moment. It took them a few moments, but soon, the group stopped in front of Nami's ship. "So this is your ride." Jura hummed as she looked at Deepwater-class light freighter. "Mon Cala production, I would guess? They tend to do more aquetic design." "A fan of Mon Calamari?" Kaelaen asked. "Nah, I prefer Correlian thought of design." She shook her head. "But some Mon Calamari ships can actually work as submarines." "Oh?" Kaelaen looked at the ship with new appreciation.
"Well, your little trap has killed my friend." The Trandoshan snarled. "So you have trouble" A blue-skinned Twi'lek moved to the side, checking the dead waitress who was lying on the ground. "Hands up, walk to the wall, slowly -then put hands on the wall, and stand with your legs apart." The purple Twi'lek demanded. "Make one false move, and you will be in the world of pain." She threatened.
“Please I -“ Seri gulps, trying and failing to keep herself controlled. Panic bubbles up inside her, and she stays where she is, kneeling on the floor. Not out of defiance, but because fear and her racing thoughts are keeping her rooted to the ground. “I-I don’t have anything else.” She nods at the blaster and her slicing deck. “I’m s-so s-sorry about your friend I didn’t - I didn’t know who - what - I was just - I was trying -“ She gasps, panic flooding through her, and out of her, the attack taking over her body and mind.
"I ordered you to, ah, fuck it-" The Trandoshan snarled as he raised his rifle blaster- Pffff! The blaster lighted up, and for a moment, you saw a blue light hit you- ... Darkness claimed you as you opened your eyes - you were in a cage, naked, hands cuffed behind your back... it was dark...
