@majus @Elfie Nami giggles, out of relief as much as anything else – glad that Jura doesn’t seem to be in serious danger. “Doctor’s privilege,” she says, being as gentle as she can while she inspects the wound. “I have to…see everything.” She looks around for anything suitable to use as a replacement bandage. Just to last until the morning when she can approach this with proper supplies and a clear head. Kaelaen’s concerns register at the back of her mind, thoughts she hasn’t the bandwidth to consider just now.
@lady-lux As Nami looked around, she realised that there was a first paid kit in the corrido that she could use to dress a wound. "See everything? Is that is what is it called now?" Jura hummed. Kaelae groaned. "Take your mind out of your cunt." The Echani shook her head with a smile, while Jura ignored her. "Oh... Do I need an adult?" Jura smiled at Naomi, then turned to Seri and winked at her.
@majus @lady-lux Seri can’t quite bring herself to join in the easy banter flowing between the other women, but she does feel a little lighter for Jura’s joking. “Glad you’re okay.” She smiles softly, meeting her wink with a nod. “She - she was amazing. I - I wouldn’t be here without her.” She confesses, feeling like an internal dam is beginning to break.
Olena would collect both of the blasters - they could prove to be useful if the group was able to make contact with smugglers or sympathizers. "Jackie, how well do you think you can move?"
@majus @Elfie Nami shakes her head with a smile. There’s a temptation to try and be a mature professional, but right now anything that breaks the tension is very welcome. She stands up, reaching out to take Jura’s and Seri’s hands at once. “You’re both amazing,” she says. “You’re both alive. Thank you for looking after each other.” She can’t keep a faint note of sadness out of her tone. Not for her friends, here with her now, but for the woman who died without Nami ever knowing her name. But as a doctor, she can only help the living. “Seri,” she says, “there’s a first-aid kit out there in the corridor. Would you bring it through, please?”
@Elfie @lady-lux "Oh, myy..." Jura hummed a smile spreading over her lips, as she looked at both Nami and Seri. "Don't inflate her ego anymore. With her empty head all the hot air will make her fly." Kaelaen said with a deadpan voice. "Hey!" Jura protested, but not really bothered.
The former scout trooper winced. She moved, slowly trying to get up, before quickly seating back. "I need to rest for some time." She shook her head. "In emergency, I will need aid to move." She paused. "With enough pain relief drugs, I should be able to move, but that won't be nice..."
@majus @lady-lux You’re welcome. Is what Seri very nearly blurts out, instinctively, squirming as Nami simultaneously praises and thanks both her and Jura. But that would sound ridiculous, or facetious, and besides she’s already just about ready to start crying. Again. She lets out a strangulated sound between a sob and a snort of laughter at Kaelaen’s latest jab at Jura - unable to catch herself in time, and unable to ignore the humour cutting through her tension. But she nods jerkily at Nami, scurrying off like a frightened Loth-cat. She locates the first aid kit, working it off its mooring on the wall, and heads back the cheerful patient’s bedside.
@majus @Elfie Nami smiles as Seri returns, gratefully taking the first aid kit. “Perfect, thank you.” She begins unpacking the necessary supplies. “I just have to change the bandage. Normally I’d put up a screen or something…” She doesn’t say the part about how most of them have seen each other fully naked already. “Maybe you two could just…look over that way?” She prepares to take off the bandage once Jura has as much privacy as she wants, to get a proper look at the state of the wound before putting on a fresh dressing.
"Kriff," Olena cursed, "alright, let me get you somewhere comfortable then." As the Amazonian Amaran reached down to help Jackie move, she shouted out to Trisk. "Oi, go bring the runner in! We'll be here for a while."
@Elfie @lady-lux "The exhibitionist will not mind." Kaelaen commented with a dry tone. "Hey!" Jura protested, then paused. "Well... I mean..." Kaelaen shook her head, before turning to Seri. "What can you tell me about the woman who attacked you. Her looks, name, motivations, which was her room?" The Echani asked a question after the other. As Naomi checked the wound, she found it to be a pretty standard procedure. Spoiler: Medicine +3 (skill) +3 (roll) Vs DC (10-2) 8 - fail As Nami started preparing the bandage and putting it on, she stopped halfway. She realised she forgot to put the medicine before the dressing,
Trisk paused as he turned to look at Olena. "Oh, okay sure!" He called as he walked out of the building. As Olena grabbed Jackie and raised her, the woman grunted, as his escaped her lips. "Not yet at the target, and already wounded." She grumbled. "That was stupid."
@majus @lady-lux Seri promptly turns her back to Nami and Jura, and finds that has the added benefit of meaning she doesn’t quite have to meet Kaelaen’s eyes. Her heart sinks at the questions, and her hand flexes, searching for something to grab hold of for support - and finding nothing. “She… she’s - she was a Twi’lek. Violet skin. I - I didn’t know her name, or where she was on the ship. I didn’t even know she was on the ship. She just grabbed me, fr-from behind, pretty soon after you both left.” She shrinks under the bombard of questions, stammering her way through her answers. Pausing, she considers stopping there - she really doesn’t want to confess why the Twi’lek came after her. But then, she remembers she’s already told Jura, so she’ll know if she lies. She hangs her head, feeling unmoored and isolated as she sways on the spot. “I don’t know… what she was going to d-do to me. But - but I know why. I - she - I was -“ she lets out a shuddering breath, a heave that threatens to spiral into panic again, “B-back on Nar Shaddaa I - I got mixed up in something bad. I was… they were going to - well, do this to me, enslave me. I escaped but… what I did to get out, she - the Twi’lek - she must have been blamed for it. I wasn’t free long and, and when they dragged me back, b-branded me… she wasn’t getting the same. It was my fault.”
