I'm very glad to hear you're enjoying it. Hopefully, it should be continued pretty soon.

I submitted a new thread a few weeks ago but RedMonica has yet approve of it. It looks like the last time he submitted something was August 19.

I've just contacted RedMonika about it. With Chyoa's notification system being what it is, he might have missed it.

    Much appreciated.

It doesn't appear on the story map, but then that's happened in the past.
I know that notification via mail doesn't work, but you didn't even get a notification on the site itself?

Any word back from RedMonika yet? He still hasn't approved (or rejected) my thread yet.

Yes, he's had some personal stuff to deal with.

FYI, I just approved your thread.

I was given editorial control of this story since RedMonika hasn't been on in months.

I am trying to restart the "Challenge Her" story. I would be curious of any constructive criticism, especially if I am getting the characters right.

I did make one change to the threads. I thought a State House election was too small scale, so I made it a Congressional seat. I think I have been influenced by recently watching "House of Cards", Season 3, which might have encouraged such grandiose thoughts.

I think you should leave it as is. By moving it up to the federal level it would mean bigger stakes and this means political flunkies around. They would have researched where their political foe lived.

    Thanks for the reply.

I did wrestle with the change. I agree, it shouldn't be high stakes, such as a Senate seat or a governorship. I thought a State House race, however, was too small and lacks tension. Unless you're a high power member of Congress (Speaker, leader, whip, etc.) you usually have very little staff. I knew one Republican who ran for Congress in Massachusetts with basically no support. The story line I am working on envisions John & Sam, after having a night of the best sex of their life, being kept apart because of the campaign. I really like the idea of a political rivalry combined with romantic tension. One section I am working on has the political funkies point out that they're living next to each other, and then the press finds out, which would make it even more difficult.

Again, I do appreciate the input.

I'm not an American so my knowledge of American politics is limited to the news.
