for stories that are about the build up. seemingly most stories just jump straight into the sex and "depravity". some stories are more in for the long haul, frequently through character building, to build an emotional connection between the readers and the characters. example: charlie.
Tags can be anything at all. We writers make our own tags, which is why you see some truly odd tags on the site sometimes. Not a bad tag idea though svn. I'll add that tag to Charlie and My Wasteland Angel. As for category I don't think it would work. Even if there was such a category I wouldn't use it. I usually choose whichever category fits the closest to the kink/fetish the story will cater to. Or if there are two or more equal kinks in a story I try to choose the category that will likely be the more unwelcome to come as a surprise for a reader. Charlie is in Transsexual instead of Romance because the last thing I want is for someone not wanting that type of story to stumble into it, get invested in it, then get a VERY unwelcome surprise deep into it.

Yeah I think it makes sense to add it to a story as a tag. I tend to think foreplay makes sense as a tag for those kinds of stories. Making it a catagory wouldn't work since it is way way too broad. You can get a slow burn non-con story or a slow burn erotic coupling and people wouldn't want to end up reading the wrong one.
Unless the multiple-categories-per-story suggestion were implemented, then it could be a useful addition I think...
I think "foreplay" sounds more like making out, touching and fingering than building characters and relationships.
I've seen nosex as a tag and always presume it's a build-up chapter. That or check the romance category.
