Hey so I got two semi random questions. The first being, why do people bookmark introductions? There's a feature to favourite stories, I don't understand the point. Also, do we have data on the overall information regarding readers and writers? Nothing too in-depth just like the most active times on the site? (Specifically im interested in the activity of the site at different times) Thanks for everything!
why do people bookmark introductions? Personally it's because I'm interested enough to want to find a story again but I'm waiting to see how it develops before deciding it's a favourite
There is no ideal time of day to post. I had a small poll about it and we have people from the united kingdom, across the united states time zones, and even some from Australia and such. So different posting times might get stories most noticed by people in different time zones. As for days the most people are on during the weekend which wasn't really surprising.
There might be the most activity at the weekends, though that also means that many writers publish chapters which can reduce the time on the front page.
Well thanks for the input guys. Regarding the times to post and site activity. I'm just trying to weigh out whether to post during when more people are on or less. If more then I'll get more exposure although for less time on the front page and vice versa.
There was a similar question/ discussion some time ago, perhaps this can help you: https://forum.chyoa.com/threads/best-time-to-post.1122/
Now, THIS makes sense! I've been wracking my brains trying to figure out why I'd get so many bookmarks on an introduction when new chapters there seemed so implausible, but if a lot of people bookmark as a memo to self that they have something to add, everything starts seeming much less illogical...
