In trying to get some activity and discussion on the forums at the moment, what's everyone's goal their working on at the moment? Not current chapter or whatever but goal or target? I.e. 1000 chapter, 2000 likes, top 10 views in erotic couples, 50 deep chapters. Things of that nature.
I'm between goals at the moment, but, my last one, just recently finished, was to get Inside The Game to 75 chapters deep. Actually, no, I still have a goal, but it's kind of a Metta-goal: win Story-of-the-Week...
I suppose I don't have that kind of goals. I want to publish at least a chapter per month on all my active stories but you can't really measure that. Well, something more specific would be to get my story AW to novel length with ideas I currently have for it. With around 1k words per chapter that would be about 80 to 100 chapters.
The current short term goal is to average two chapters a night on Lois Lane's Night Out. A reasonable rate, keeps things fresh. Long term, I'd kinda like to end the story at 20 chapters deep. Obviously, setting k = 20 on all paths would have me writing two chapters a night for the rest of my life and never finishing the project so the idea so once I finish filling out all the first options for chapter 9, and then start either ending paths or focusing on continuing the most popular paths (probably based on likes). Naturally, that might be modified by feedback, or if someone else wants to add to the story - I don't want to ruin anybody else's fun.
I created a poll to pick some new goals, everyone please go vote? https://forum.chyoa.com/threads/new-goals-for-nemo-1.1691/
I'm trying to get over a hump and finish my first story. 2 more sex scenes to go, 2 variations on each. I'm kind of burnt out with trying to not use the same terminology twice too close together.
receiving a blowjob... oh you mean in terms of writing: writing about receiving a blowjob... but that's very very short term Oh yes, and I want to not publish another story until I have finished the spider arc in Knights of Amra.
I guess getting some more trophies/achievements on the site? I don't really know how many are avaliable or achieveable for me since I've only got one story I'm working on but I've gotten a few already. It's just nice to know some people out there are enjoying my story so far so even a couple more likes and so on would be swell!
Posted 2 of the 4 scenes I needed to write. : https://chyoa.com/story/The-Housewarming.12051 2 more to go... and it's officially done! peniserectionshaftcockdickholeentrancepucker
To be the first one as far as i know to finish a story. Also get on the first page of my catagory, currently on fourth.
You mean, the first to finish a COMPLETE story? I've seen threads in stories come to a conclusion before; I've done it myself several times. But if you're talking about concluding ALL the threads on a given story and then closing it to any further submissions, then I think you're right; no one's ever done that.
My own goals don't have to do with the stats, they have to do with the writing. I like to post and celebrate when I hit certain milestones on the Likes and such, but that's not really what it's about for me. One goal, I just achieved yesterday; I had a long thread going in another editor's story (The Virgin Games, by GateKeeper_A), and I had always intended to bring it to a real conclusion; it is now finished. If anyone is interested in reading it, take option #1 from the introduction, then the only option on the next chapter, then the second option ("Jade uses her head") on the third chapter. Everything after that is my thread, and it's currently unbranching all the way to the end; only one option after each chapter. There are many other developed threads in the story, but all my contributions are in that one. Other goals have to do with my own story that I'm currently putting most of my effort into, It's Good to be the King. I've written the story to two conclusions so far, and I want to develop at least two more major threads and perhaps even conclude them before the end of the year. I also might like to branch off some of the ones I've already finished and lead them to some less ideal conclusions; I think the story will be more interesting if not every ending is a happy one.
