It's not fully open source, but I'm surprised that Telegram hasn't come up.

 

Had never really heard of or used telegram but looking at it it does seem like the TDLib tool would be a good way to do it since it takes care of a lot of things and works on pretty much every platform that counts.

Although, as I said, at the top, I doubt that it would ever happen, hell I doubt that anyone in a position to do anything about it has even really looked at this thread.

So here are some alternatives to Telegram

 

I admit I was a little surprised there wasn't a Discord server when I started here. That said, I don't have massive love for Discord, so... yeah. Telegram or things like it makes a lot of sense to me.

(Also -- we're at war with Literotica? Dang. I'm glad I didn't crosspost there.)

 

It's actually kind of a civil war, we were first founded as a quasi-colony of Lit and then they mismanaged the site and left us to fend for ourselves with massive server and technical problems till Friedman road in and basically said "we don't need them" and we declared independence. So far the crown has taken no action but we all know the redcoats are coming someday...

 

I might be wrong but I don't think it happened that way.

As long as there are only 2 + 1 Likes on the initial post, the suggestion will seem quite unimportant.
Actually, I also notice in other suggestion that — from the answers — there is some interest in the suggestion, though then there are only very few likes.

 

Isn't there a search engine we have with a couple other websites? Who are they again?

YES! We work with Literotica and Lush stories for SmutMD search engine.

 

I don't have any issue with Lit for its stories I just hate that the chat client, and really the whole site, is horribly outdated. I would just like something to replace it on a site I like and trust.

 

Counterpoint, they handle tags WAY better than we do.

We already have that, you can search for chapters by tag.

 

yes, but you can't just see the tags for a given chapter when you are reading it. I didn't say searching for chapters by tag I just want to be able to look at a chapter and see "Oh this chapter is why this story has "enema" in its tag list."

The long a story goes the more fucking tags it has and the less useful the tag list becomes.

 

I have offered my suggestion on tags in the past....Although that was nearly two years ago it seems.
