Sarah winces as Woody explained how things actually work. "Ouch, sounds rough." She said as they finish shaking hands. "Thanks for explaining how things work, Woody. I guess, we'll be seeing more of each other around. I'll see you later." She said with a smile as she turned around, and walked out of the door. Sarah continued to look around the academy, to maybe meet other hunters, while making her way to the cafeteria.
'Ha! Ein Seemann, oder wie? Sorry, you're a sailor, huh?' Alexander smiled at Silas, 'Funny you should ask, I used to go sailing with my father on a big lake near Hannover every summer.' He sighed, 'Well, haven't done it much since the old man switched to fishing.' 'Do you sail alot?,' Alexander asked back.
(for the sake of the fact that I have to go to work and so you folks can engage in your own shennanigans if you so wish to until i get back...) You manage to find your way to the cafeteria just fine and don't particularly encounter anything interesting.
"yea actually before I came here thats what I did for a living,my family are sailors......and fishermen,want to go sometime? I learned to sail on the ocean, I can teach you.Oh hey theres sarah! we're over here!"silas waves at her
'Sure, why not? As long as we don't run into some shark-demon or something,' he laughed. 'Would be great to get on the water again.' He got a little less cheery, 'But I guess we'll have to get through our first assignments before we can plan a sailing trip.' He sighed, 'We'll get through it, I'm sure.' Alexander looked over to where Silas was looking and gave a quick wave and nod to Sarah.
Sarah raises her hand, and waves to her companions. She walks toward the counter, to look at the menu. Some of the people eating in the cafeteria stopped, and stared at Sarah as she approached the counter. She looked at the menu, and settled on a burger. Sarah took a tray with her food, and walked towards her group. Sarah places the tray with her food on the table, and sits infront of Alexander. "Hey guys, anything I missed?" She asked as she took a bite, of her burger.
"not much....we were just planning to go sailing, wanna join? alexander thinks we may have the oppotunity to start planning after our first assignment, that and mira seems to really want to eat something meaty" silas tucks into his greens after speaking
Alexander looks around the room and sees all the men (and women) following Sarah's strut to their table. 'You certainly make an entrance, everyone's drooling over you, can't blame them really,' Alexander laughed. Looking over to Silas he chuckled, 'This guy here is a genuine sailor, wouldn't have guessed that, huh?' Taking one of his chips he pointed at Sarah and asked her, 'So, you found something interesting around the place?'
Sarah finishes chewing her burger, and swallows, before she answered. "Yeah actually, it looks like we can get equipment and supplies for free. But according to the clerk, Woody. How much we get depends on whoever, authorizes the request. Mmm, it might pay to make friends with someone from the warehouse." Sarah says as she relayed all information, she managed to find. Sarah scans the room, and grins as Alexander was right. "I didn't think you'd be a sailor. And what about you, Alex? How was your life... before all this. I think you said Ms. Yagami, saved your life?" She said before taking another bite of her meal.
'Sounds good, will have to pay "Woody" a visit some time soon.' he chuckled at the clerk's strange name. He got a bit more sombre at Sarah's question, 'Yeah, she did. That's how I ended up here. I was a cop in Germany, Hannover to more precise. Y'know, the anti-terror, hostage situation, kind? Until...' He paused shortly and looked down to his food,'Well, suffice it to say it wasn't pleasant and I'm here because of her. I won't go into further detail for now, not while eating at least, it might just spoil your appetite.' He smiled at her, 'And what did you do, Ms Hudson? You are American, I assume?'
Mira laught when Alex put her down. "Good horse, good." She said and grab plate. She take hamburger with green peper, coca cola, apple and two piece of sugar. She sit at tabe next to Alex, didn't want to let him go yet. "Good ride, you earn your rewald boy." And before he can resist, She give him to mouth piece of sugar, like to horse. But She hear rest of talking, but didn't want to be too seriosly since beginning. For that will come time.
Alexander couldn't help but play along with Mira's game, 'Well played, cowgirl.' He opened his mouth and let her put the cube of sugar on his tongue. Sucking on his sugar cube he said, 'Mmmh, delicious.' 'One thing's for sure, our time with you around won't be boring,' he laughed and smiled at her.
silas looks up "you'd have to be a boring person to get bored and I don't think any of us are that boring. so....I know alexander is from germany....I've lived basically my entire life on the sea,where are the rest of you from?"
"Born and bred." Sarah smiled as she answered, Alexander's question. "I was born in Texas, but my parents moved to brooklyn, when I was 10." She turned to look at Silas as she answered his. "I was a cop too, actually." Sarah's gaze lowered, and a pained expression came over her face. "And basically if my minor ability didn't awaken when it did, well I wouldn't be sitting here." "But, enough about me!" She said as her usual happy expression returned. "What about you, Mira? What was your life like, before coming here?"
Alexander gave Sarah a look that he hoped was reassuring, it seemed like they went through very similar ordeals to end up at the Academy, 'I am glad you're here with us now, Sarah. We'll stick together, right?' He chuckled to himself, 'Texas und New York, mehr Amerikanisch geht wohl nicht [transl: can't get much more all-American than that].' 'Hey, Silas, while we're at it. How'd you manage to end up here?' he tilted his head expectantly.
"well I guess you could say your theory of shark demons was right" silas turns his head somberly "much like sarah over here.....I was lucky to get my powers in time....its also why I like training so much and was worried,Looks like I've got nothing to worry about" silas nods and looks at mira expectantly"what about you?"
Chuckled at Alexander's reassuring look. "Thank you, and you're right, now we're actually prepared to deal with those demons." She said as she took another bite of her burger. Sarah's eyes wandered around the cafeteria, to see some of people eating still staring at them or her. "Just try to keep speaking german to a minimum, when we're out in the field, yeah? We don't want to miscommunicate in a dire situation." She said with a smile to Alexander.
'W-What? That was supposed to be a joke! They exist? Jaws was based on a true story!?' Alexander looked at Silas with his mouth open. Turning to the girl sitting in front of him he said, 'Noted, I'll keep the German limited to curses everybody understands,' he winked at her.
"well I wouldn't say Jaws was true.....but yes,they are fucking massive....nearly as big as galleons,oh and I don't mind other languages, I speak plenty due to being on the ocean,though I prefer russian,I can also do german.акулы чертовски массивные(sharks are fucking massive)
Sarah laughed and said. "Alright you two, settle down. Hopefully we don't encounter any giant sharks, in our first mission." She was just about finished with her burger. "So, you guys have anything planned after this?" She looked at Silas then Alexander as she asked.
