That's cool, I wondered. I figure there's plenty of falls around the park, though I wanted to use them as a bit of a reference point, in case anyone reading the "At the Cabin" threads was curious as to where the Edamaraku's rented one was. I named them the Zaffre Falls -- "Zaffre" is another shade of blue, keeping with the color naming scheme, if you like
Glad to see the new stories posted by Yarkoz and Patzo, "The Edamaraku's Vacation" and "Surrender". Maybe one day the Story Map can become as big as "At The Cabin"'s one. Started a short story about a weekend where part of the gang from "At The Cabin" go camping in the woods deep inside the park. Like I've said in the comments section, I want to test a a plot on this story, and this plot is a pairing between Zack and Ashley. You guys could see a glimpse of this on my latest thread in the orgy storyline on "At The Cabin". I wasn't sure if this story should be here or on "At The Cabin", but seeing as the Story Map there already is quite big and we already have threads with Zack sharing a room with every female but Ashley, I've decided to create a different scenario; the only aspect I'm not sure is if I'll be able to squeeze every plot I want on two and a half days instead of the two weeks on "At The Cabin". I also wanted to try my hand on writing comedy, but I can't guarantee it'll be funny for real.
Updated "The Edamaruku's Vacation" with some additional characters, most old (Kurt, Robert Ravers, and Lisa) but one new, another one of Heather's old flames, Wei Buqing. I'm particularly happy with how I wrote him, and I have some plans for him and Heather, but I'll get him off of her back, lol. Now though, the story is diverging slightly from duskford's storyline in "At the Cabin," but it still largely follows it with (I hope) keeping details vague. I did create some plot by chucking Zack under the bus, but it's not that bad, and his side of the story will be revealed. No worries!
I had a set of immediate flashes of Zack's marriage trajectory that got him to In the Future. Copying here. Anyone else have any feelings for who Zack ended up with, and how it worked out? Lisa: drama-filled, ups-and-downs, close calls with divorce? But their families have been supportive through it all. Hannah: She and Zack run a business together. They keep things hot. Hannah gossips with Zack about her friends' sex lives. Ashley: On again off again, sexually intense. Married late and finally starting a family. Chloe: She and Zack have matching eyeglasses and are starting to look alike. They go everywhere together. She's his secret tech expert alongside her freelance career and mentors other women. Victoria? Divorced, or maybe never made it to the wedding. Zack ended up with Heather, and Vicky with one of Heather's exes. Heather: It's always been an open marriage, and they've done what they needed to to make it work, even with kids. Madison: Intense emotional bond. She has girlfriends on the side. He doesn't. IVF for twins, and done with babies after one time.
Having Wei being a fun-loving, sex-charged automobile hobbyist had me thinking of a Chinese-American version of Sir Mix-A-Lot (who, aside from being known for Baby Got Back, seems to be a fun-loving guy and automobile technology geek).
I didn't go too far as to imagining different scenarios yet, but I'm gonna add a thread for each of the girls and elaborate more on Heather's path before going back to At The Cabin.
Here are a few ideas from me. Right now, I don't really have the spark to write in me, but hopefully this can give y'all (and even myself) some inspiration: Heather is not in a relationship with anyone at the moment, but is still promiscuous. This causes no shortage of pain for her only daughter (who just turned 18) cause Heather keeps it a secret she is a love child between her and Kurt. Victoria had one last failed relationship right before having her only child, and has decided to swore off relationships until the child graduated. She ends up having a fling with one of the children of the first generation. Brandon had a football career ending injury in college, but realized he wanted to teach, so he's a full-time coach/part-time math teacher at Azure Rocks High School (has there ever been a name established for Azure Rock's high school?) At least 1 girl got pregnant during At the Cabin (this child{ren} would be 24 or 25 at the start of the sequel). One set of children need to continue the strong bond theme (aka silent conversations) which was set up in this thread. The original generation have continued having a yearly get together where they end up having an orgy. Depending on the ages of the children, this is not the first time some of the children have joined in, but, obviously, this is the first time for some of them. Some of the newbies to the orgy have already figured out what's going on. Some of the children have invited their friends to join in.
Lots of good ideas here, guys, especially the huge orgy one, it can make for a great branch (not that my path won't end in one, lol). Tell you what, I'm gonna develop only the Heather scenario I have in mind. The other girls and scenarios, I'll leave to anyone who wants it. As for the school, I've never gave it a specific name, I've only referred to it as Azure Rocks High School so far.
Really great ideas guys, I just want to say! I'll comment more in-depth later, but for Heather, I always imagined that, when she became the CEO of Ravers Enterprises/Holdings/Inc., she took the company by storm, closing some subsidiaries, opening brand new ones, finalizing some mergers, founding charities, and so forth. Really reorganizing the corporation for the future. She's been largely successful and maintains a good relationship with the board and shareholders, despite weird and familiar rumours about her that circulated around her father too I see her having an inner circle though, made up of Kurt who heads pubic relations, Gavin who heads research and development, and Ashley who heads marketing and advertising. With Ashley as her ears, Gavin as her brain, and Kurt as her mouth, they make a formidable team.
You're spot on, Yarkoz. That's exactly how I see Heather in the future, and her inner circle would be awesome the way you described it.
So, on the branch where Zack marries Heather, those are the careers everyone followed: - Zack: started out as an attorney and then became a judge; after that, he decided to write mystery novels and became a famous author. - Heather: took over Ravers Enterprises when Robert retired. - Victoria: travels the world as an archaeologist. - Brandon: as by johnhoftb's suggestion, an injury ended his dream of becoming a pro football player, so now he coaches the team at Azure Rocks High School. - Ashley: as by Yarkoz's suggestion, heads marketing and advertising at Ravers Enterprises. - Gavin: heads the Technological Research department at Ravers Enterprises. - Chloe: became a teacher at Azure Rocks High School. - Kurt: head of public relations at Ravers Enterprises. - Lisa: haven't decided yet, I'm toying with idea of her becoming pregnant after her tryst with Zack on "At The Cabin" and then dying giving birth to the child. - Taylor: despite a few offers to be a model, stayed firm on her course to become a doctor; heads Azure Rocks Hospital. - Hannah: when Taylor received offers to go modelling, she went along and entered that world too. As for after that, I'm split between having her owning a modelling agency or being a famous actress. - Peter: I'm probably making him a journalist. Fun fact, had to think really hard about Zack and Victoria, as in which one was going to be the author and which one would end up as an archaeologist.
I'd rather not have any character die, but if that's what goes for your story, than go ahead. Going off of this, I wonder if Carlos and Susan kept the secret from Zack while he was in college, and when Zack found out, he would try his best to be a good father to the Lisa's young child, either by being there as best he can or by actively taking the child into his family. As for character deaths, one idea I was toying was having whoever Zack married (which is Chloe in my head) pass away from cancer a few years before the sequel began, and this trip is a way to help him move on by bonding with someone else or just having a good time and finding someone else outside of th
To tell you the truth, I don't like killing characters as well. It's only an alternative if I can't find a more interesting alternative for Lisa. Your Chloe idea sounds good, johnhoftb!
A Rivera-Bishop secret love child might be dramatic enough, especially for Zack's position as a judge. Not that I'd imagine Lisa spilling the beans anyway, because it would depend on her situation too, but it is a sword dangling over their heads. And I'd imagine Zack being very supportive too, though absent, and the knowledge of him being the cause of Lisa's death would've destroyed him I'd think. I'd imagine though that Zack's career would be fairly difficult anyway. He is married to one of the most influential people in the private sphere while he is a public defender. Big conflict of interest he would have to overcome, but not impossible. I can imagine them dealing with quite a few nosy journalists trying to make names for themselves! All the more reason to think his kid with Lisa would be cause for concern.
Apologises for time double post, but I wanted to separate discussions Actually, wanted to say Zingiber, I was listening to Sir Mix-A-Lot when creating Wei! lol That's exactly his attitude! And U won't lie that The Fonz crept in there too. Wei likes his leather in the winter. That said, I'm finishing up the next bloc of "A Ranger Story" next, with me borrowing of Ranger Katelyn Malone from Cretan Bull's orgy thread in "At the Cabin." I'm also thinking about having Zack as a volunteer in the story, shamelessly using one of duskford's ideas. That should round out the cast nicely.
On this idea of Lisa dying, the pregnancy wouldn't have been the sole responsible. She'd have developed some depression after what happened when she was a captive of the "bears" with her mother, constant rape threats and maybe even an actual rape on one or both of them. But I won't use this idea anymore (the death; the threats will still happen). Now to a plot I've thought today; one thing I was planning to happen on the sequel was for Zack to be approached by some friends of Heather with the idea of him running for Mayor. I guess I can move things forward a bit and have him already on campaign. Then, his adversary could use Lisa and the son/daughter against him to provoke a scandal, since Lisa moved out from Azure Rocks after the first story and wouldn't know she was being used. It'd be really cool if Zack appeared on the story, on my continuity I'm still planning for him to be a volunteer for a short time during the summer (the only way I imagine a scene between him and Jennifer can happen).
After reading your newest thread for the sequel, I think it really needs to be it's own story instead of attached to a general one. Also, one thing I've thought of is we need a set of stories set in Azure Falls. Silver Lake can create it's own stories, but what about the ones back at home?
I think you're right, johnhoftb. Well, I was only going to write up until the point that Zack and Heather's eldest daughter got introduced before going back to finish "At The Cabin", what I'm probably going to do is move those threads to a separate story later (if At The Cabin ends accordingly). If there are enough good ideas for stories happening on Azure Rocks, I can create the story. EDIT: by the way, if someone read the threads with the future generation kids, can you tell me what you thought about them?
