I have over 140 followers, but I'm lucky to get over 10 likes on a chapter. Seems to be a disconnect. What's up with that?
Maybe some of the followers are inactive? Maybe they like some of the things you do, but not others? Maybe they're followers, but don't like?
I have a few active people who will like chapters in certain stories. I also tend to only get a lot of likes on chapters that contain fucking.
Wicker, I have 3 followers you usually like my stuff (you are one of the three) I'm just impressed you have so darn many. At my current rate, it'll take me 10 years to match your follow count. I do find often the same people like my stuff, I get to know them just because they do the likes.
Some people just aren't 'likers' on this or any platform. It doesn't mean they don't enjoy it. I would go by your views more than your likes.
If you write for a lot of stories, there are segments of your followers who will like the stuff you write for certain stories but not for others (hence why they followed you in the first place because of those chapters you wrote for another story). There is a portion (probably a large portion) of followers that won't like (I don't mean enjoy, rather commit an action to press like) any stuff you do. In fact, there are portions of people that like a large majority of author's stuff but won't follow. There are certain stories that just garner more likes than others (either because of concept/popular fetishes or popularity). I wouldn't be concerned.
I feel your pain. I've got a thread I enjoy writing but for reasons that escape me it gets very few likes. Another thread/story I'm writing gets far more likes so I give it more time, but I've no idea why one gets the likes and other doesn't. So long as you're enjoying it then keep writing, people will keep reading and you will get the likes but as FreeUse92 said I wouldn't be overly concerned.
