i dont know if this has ever been asked,but how many times can a given story be awarded story of the week,this is not a complaint or anything,im just curious

How was the latest Story of the Week chosen? It's only 15 chapters deep with the requirement in the FAQ for 25 minimum?
Sorry... I think that I'll have my branch 25 deep in a few days. One of the stories in the collection by user Nom Nom Nom de Plume is complete but it's 15 chapters. It's really good though! We also have wilparu working on it who puts out great content at a high rate. We'll get there!
It’s a great story and I’m opinion worthy of story of the week, so this is not a slight on you or the authors, all of whom I love. More about how the story is chosen and why the peramaters seem to have been changed. Keep up the good work...it’s a great story.
Same. I was expecting to find out it had been picked as it was a Christmas story to coincide with Christmas
Which would make sense. I’ve asked about how the story of the week is chosen before and surprisingly it is based mainly on views. Other things are considered but the exact formula is apparently confidential, but views are the main thing they use.
I'd always assumed it was number of chapters released that week or possibly likes Explains the incest stories getting picked a lot. Those are crazy popular it seems.
That was my thought, I presumed it was likes and got really frustrated by other stories with far fewer likes getting picked, but it’s views, plus a lot of other ‘secret’ Stuff. Re: incest...yeah, it surprised me when I joined CHYOA how popular it was. As I don’t do fanfiction or fantasy I chose incest which previously had not been on my radar. What can I say...I’m a like junkie!!!
Perhaps I'm mistaken but has the same story been awarded SOTW twice in a row? I'm presuming that SOTW changes every Monday and accidental incest is there again today.
