On the harem question, I dont know if this qualifies as one but The most girls option I see him able to get is as follows:

Mom, Lilly, Mandy. Mom and Lily would know about everyone involved but Mandy would only know of Lily. Occasional threesomes with Olivia and mom also possible. Or threesomes with Lilly and Mandy. I don't think mom and Lilly would be up for a threesome.



As for favourite romantic character for me it would probably be Susan.
It might have been Abigail if we had an alive option of her instead of only the ghost.

 

That's really close to my thoughts as well, but I'm not sure if Mandy should/would be kept in the dark. She makes so much sense as the public gf for Jack, but I think she'd want to know everything... but while she certainly seems like she'd accept Lily being with Jack (indeed she's like one day away from renting a billboard outside Lily's apartment that says "IT'S FINE IF YOU HAVE SEX WITH JACK TOO") I do wonder if Alice being in the mix would be extra-super weird for her. Well, for the version of "her" that I imagine in my head where I have access to all her thoughts and dreams.

 

LIYSS chapter posted. I kind of had a lazy/unmotivated weekend and didn't get as much done as I would have liked. I tried several times to work on the last few Onesies for the Girls chapters but just couldn't get into it. I'm kind of burned out on that story to be honest. The plan will just be to publish those when I do the intermission this july (special Christmas in July update). In December it will be my main story again but that's a long time off.

Upload queue in the OP also updated. Once Valentines is over, I'll focus my efforts on LIYSS. It's approaching the 1 year anniversary of it's release and I'd like to get the story moving.

The last chapter of LiYSS had me on pins and needles. Tell him Lily! I’m sure if she just opened her mouth the words would start tumbling out and she wouldn’t be able to stop until she told Jack she loves him and wants him herself. Great work.

 

Oh yeah, I meant to ask about this. I was thinking about getting some art done for my stories in the future. Anyone have any suggestions? I don’t want anything crazy, just some basic images (non erotic mainly) but I’m not sure how much that typically costs. Wonder if there’s a thread here or recommendations already?

 

OP updated. I felt motivated today so I went ahead and did the next LIYSS chapter even thought it wasn't first in the queue. I've just been in this mental funk lately (not necessarily relating to my writing on this website) and have found it difficult to focus on anything. It's just something that happens to me occasionally. I'll be fine. Today I felt like my normal self.

Several things that I want to mention:
- I was generally pretty unhappy with my Valentines story. I just felt like it wasn't up to the standard that I've set for myself. I've reevaluated and have a better idea of where I want to go with it. There's not a lot left for this year and I'll probably write it all at once. It's possible that I go back and do some major editing to older chapters and change major plot points
- 1 year anniversary of LIYSS approaching quickly. I'm so excited about the future of this story. There's so much story left to be told.
- There's a new post on my Patreon with a preview of a story that I have planned in the Science Fiction category. It will be a while before it's published here on CHYOA.

 

I've scanned the forum and didn't see anything good but maybe I missed something. I was just going to try to find some small artist that does nsfw art on patreon or whatever. It's probably more expensive if the artist is more well known. Id be willing to spend a couple hundred dollars but nothing too crazy.

 

I've been considering art for my story too. I've had success with a place in the past that I recommend for authors not looking for anything fancy: https://artistsnclients.com

It's not the kind of place to go to get a masterpiece, but there's usually inexpensive sketches or simple shaded art with artists willing to do NSFW stuff. I typically get art here to then use as reference images for a better known artist (final results might vary widely from the example images used, I'd found...), but a bunch of inexpensive images for the title page or specific chapters seems feasible.

 

I’ll check that out. I’ve been looking at https://www.reddit.com/r/HungryArtists/ to see what’s out there. Some really good portrait artists, so I’ve been bookmarking a few to consider when I’m ready to start my new story. I’m hoping to spend under $200 USD for a pretty good full body SFW portrait of two people.
My wife’s expression when I told her I wanted to spend that on art for my naughty story was... something else. She didn’t say no!

 

That looks like a decent place, plus areas where you can request a specific piece of art as a client and see what artists are interested is a good bonus. I think more often than not, an artist willing to engage with an idea from a request will probably be more invested in bringing an idea to life, even if they are less common.

I've definitely put down quite a bit of cash for an idea I needed to see realized (even if it wasn't tied to a bigger project), I think it can really enhance an idea a great amount. So, good luck in finding an artist that fits your vision!

 

I’d recommend sketchmob, actually. You can find artists all over the world who are probably way more cost efficient due to exchange rates and plenty of them do nsfw material while being amazingly skilled artists who never cost me than roughly 50$ each.(The Indonesian artists are the ones I got my stuff done for)

There’s also the more photo realistic artists too and a bunch of different styles so it actually took me a while to find ones that I liked. Not that others were bad, but finding that factor of what just pops out to you.

Also, yes. You may wonder if sharing non lewd project is the best idea, but the way I see it, if you know where they’re from and someone recognizes my name from porn sites they use, are they ever seriously going to admit to it? More importantly, I keep few secrets so if I ever become successful, it’s not shocking if everybody already knows.

Point being, Sketchmob is definitely probably an easier tome than reddit and more reliable since you can see customer reviews.

1 Year LIYSS Update:

As I promised at the end of Part 1, here's a more thorough and very lengthy update. Do not read any further unless you are fully caught up. Spoiler warning.

When I started this story, I never expected it to get so big. When I read some of the older updates below, it's quite funny how naïve I was. I really had no idea what I was getting myself into. I never thought that the first part of the story would take this long. It happened for several reasons so let's touch on them briefly.

When I did my most recent readthrough, it was especially striking how the story gradually becomes more and more detailed. Scenes that would have taken a paragraph in earlier chapters stretch out into entire chapters later in the story. Now, in my opinion, this is a good thing. I feel like I'm becoming better as a writer and a side effect of this is everything takes longer. I've always craved extreme detail and world building when reading erotic stories. It makes them so much more satisfying. I don't think that I could force myself to become less long winded even if I wanted to.

Burnout is real and it's hit me hard lately. Unless I get hit by a bus, I'm going to see this story through. However, I just can't keep up the pace that I had earlier. I know that it can be frustrating when I don't post for a week or sometimes even longer. Please try to see this from my perspective. I've spent an inordinate amount of time writing on this website. I've abandoned old hobbies in favor of this new one. It probably takes a few hours to read through this story and I'm so grateful that you've given me your valuable time. But, it takes far longer to actually write it. I'm talking hundreds of hours. I don't have any regrets about how much work I've put into this but I just don't want to spend the same amount of time doing it in year 2. Writing has dominated my free time and sometimes a guy just wants to relax and watch some TV. Always down for recommendations, by the way.

Now let's talk about the elephant in the room. Well, several of them. I have other stories and projects that I'm working on. From a readers perspective, I understand that this can be annoying. Like, come on ThreeNipps, just finish this one first. Let me try to explain this the best I can. For a while, having other stories to work on helped tremendously. They served as a nice break when I wasn't particularly feeling this one. Some of them also take a tiny amount of time to write when compared to this one. I don't always have several hours to sit down and write. The story that you're reading in LIYSS has been a fantasy of mine for years. Like you know when you're just daydreaming about something? My thing is that I concoct these massive stories in my head. It's _impossible _to have a one tract mind. Now that I'm not writing quite as much, stories go months without any updates. 'The Girls Need Some Sun' more like 'The Girls Need Some Updates' am I right? Look, I'm sorry but I can't unpublish something and send it back to the drafts. I'll get to it... I'll get to it...

Okay yeah that wasn't very brief. Moving on.

Let's talk a little about the story and it's numbers. The main storyline currently sits at 130,000 words. That's more than I thought and there's still a ton of story to tell. This story is going to be a behemoth by the time it's done. Guys, it's going to take a really long time. We're talking several years at least.

We're approaching 20,000 likes and 2,000 favorites. Over 2.5 million views. Yeah... that's quite good. To be honest, it feels somewhat undeserved. There are so many great stories that fly under the radar. Some luck plays into which stories become very successful. I try to not pay much attention to likes because I don't want them to influence the direction of the story. The most popular thing might not always be what's best when looking at the big picture. But still, all of your support is appreciated. One of the goals that I've had in the back of my mind for a while is to see this story on the CHYOA top stories list. We'll get there eventually.

Now let's talk about what's next. February 27th marks one year since this story was published. I have a special surprise planned for that day so keep an eye out! In March there's several things that I need to do. I'm going to go through the story and put specific dates at the start of each day. This is way overdue. I made a calendar to help me keep better track of things. Characters need last names. Yup... I've never mentioned anyone's last name. The one exception that I can think of is Voelkel which was basically an alias for Jack and his mother. I'll probably make a character page with basic information listed. Part 2 of the main storyline will take place during Christmas break. I have no idea how long it will be. Probably not as long as part 1 but you never know. I need to finish part 1 for the Lose Virginity to Mom pathway. Probably a couple of chapters. Obviously, there's a lot to do.

Let's wrap this up. I'll also post this in my thread on the forum. You can always comment and ask questions but it's easier to do it there. It's nice to not be squished into the tiny column that is the comment section.

I know that it can be frustrating when I don't post for a week or sometimes even longer.

Brother, my latest chapter took me three and a half months.

A one and a half month break in there for holidays and general burnout.

I couldn't go back to the way I used to casually write if I wanted to. And, I generally do want to.

Man, when I started, I'd pump out three chapters a day and not eat until four in the afternoon out of sheer energy and excitement.

You're in the fucking club, now, friend. Erotica ain't no fucking game - it sucks you in and then it sucks you dry.

Thank you for an incredible post ThreeNipps. The info and celebration of LiYSS is great but I especially loved a peek into your growth as a writer.

I think I know what you mean about how the stories get more detailed as you get experience in writing. The more I am able to imagine my characters and the plot as I write the more the little things - how did they physically get here from where they were last scene, how did their decisions last chapters change how others characters see them etc - start to demand my attention. Now it takes me 2000 words for a couple to go to a restaurant from work because I have to explain so much.

I wonder if there is another level when I’m able to judge what can actually be ignored and still give detail to the things that need it. I remember a French director from the ‘50s I think who dismissed American movies as “people getting into and out of cars”, so focused on the minutia of filmmaking as a craft to the detriment of using film to make art.

I feel ya on burnout. I’ve written over 140,000 words on 3 stories since mid December and last week for the very first time I wondered if I wold ever just... quit one day. Like just stop writing. The feeling passed but still writing has been my favourite pastime since I started and for the first time I wondered if it always would be.

Once months ago I was in a tricky spot in the plot for my story and couldn’t figure out how to get the characters where I needed them to be. I thought that was “burnout” but now I realize what real burnout is. It’s knowing what the story needs and having all the cool fun ideas in your head like always but just not being able to muster the enthusiasm to sit down and get them out on to the screen. I’m at a fun part of a story and know what’s to come but still just want to do scav runs in Tarkov instead of writing.

Hah anyway enough of that, let’s get back to your post. I think I know exactly what you mean about always having these big huge stories rattling around in your head and they are always banging into each other and battling for attention. Your stories are so damn good they are a constant inspiration to me, to the point I occasionally reread one of my chapters and realize that a phrase or little idea was subconsciously stolen from one of your stories. Sorry not sorry!

Oh man. I forgot to mention that in the update post. Probably the most gratifying and unexpected aspect to all of this is inspiring other people to write. It really means a lot to me when you say that. One of the things that I often think about while writing is how there are undoubtedly people reading that have their own stories to tell. Starting is really the hardest part. If I can encourage people to take that leap and give writing a try, what better mission is there than that?

I created my account to comment on TheDespaxas's The Gamer branch. Mainly to express my sadness about the months long hiatus the story had taken. After that I binge read wilparu's Christmas and Valentine's day stories. By that time I had read the whole LiYSS two times already. After that I binge read it a third time for good measure. Then followed all the other ThreeNipps's stories. My current top stories are hands down LiYYS and TAM and I've been checking the notifications about 20 times a day for updates.
I can't realy say anything new about the stories apart from all the praise I gave them in the comments already. The thing that keeps me hooked is the attention to emotions. You can find sex in every story on this site (and many other sites too), half of them are decent and quite a number even pretty good. Very few, however, give any attention to real intimacy. This, together with expert writing, make them stand out.
Thanks to both of you for keeping me happy and content for the last few months and giving me something to realy look forward to.

(Boy does it feel weird to have erotica be the highlight of one's day. Thank god for internet anonymity, otherwise I wouldn't be able to give you all the praise you deserve.)
