    Hey, guys

I was wondering how and where you usually find the images you use in your stories.
I'm talking mostly about cover pics, as I'm not a fan of illustrated stories, but that is a neglectable detail.

I'm not looking for porn links, mind you, I'm just curios as I often find it difficult to come across a good, non watermarked picture portraing a specific subject or setting.

I use Pixabay for most (Taming the Dom, Roxy's New Roommate, Morgan's Lunch Break) but have also used Pexels for Quarantined. Pixabay does have some lewd pictures, although of a more 'erotic' nature than pornographic.

Usually I want a character (or characters) as the cover pic, so I just Google the keywords I need and scroll until I see what I want (and is available to use). So far, I've been fortunate in finding images that match the characters I've written.

90% I draw my own. I always appreciate people who go the extra mile to draw their own cover art, even when they're not used to drawing.

    Thanks for sharing.
I usually google for images, but as thread suggest I'm not very satisfied with the results.

That's something I'd love to be able to do, but as much I'm that type of person who gives a shot at most things, I think that would be highly time-inefficient.
I think I'll keep using creative energy for the written part for now

If you were doing anime stuff I would suggest danbooru as a source, their way of tagging things and including the artist's name makes it easy to find specific stuff and then attribute it to the artist. But I have a feeling you're not. Sure seems like there would be a similar database out there with a tagging system for photos... hmmm... maybe this one? It's like danbooru but with real peeps: http://behoimi.org/tag?commit=Search&name=&type=&order=count

EDIT: it's still all cosplay though, lol... I am sure there is a resource out there for people who aren't weebs like me, somewhere!

Thanks for going the extra mile, MidbossMan!

I like mangas, read my share of them.
With anime I have more problems, voiceover and subtitles both kill me so
Never really considered writing about them.
    Maybe one day, who knows?

Ah well that's unfortunate, though understandable.

If you're looking for a lot of different dynamic (or static) poses that are nude, art reference websites are quite good to have a look at, since on some of them you can specify what pose you want them to be in, and from what angle, e.g. http://reference.sketchdaily.net/en
This one might not be the best, as it takes poses randomly from a pool, but there are many others that might be closer to what you're looking for.

Never knew something like that existed, thank you.

Google Images with nsfw filter turned off most of the time.

If you want high-quality porn images you got to know the right site and then google it for galleries. There is a difference between screenshots and HQ photos.
    For example.
If you want 18+ schoolgirl pictures: google InnocentHigh HQ gallery (I think you'll get pornpics.com)
If you want MILF teachers pictures: google myfirstsexteacher hq gallery (pornpics.com again)

    For anime use https://www.pixiv.net/

There are also copyright-free images if you are paranoid about DMCAs. https://unsplash.com/

Besides that, there is also fake twitter generators and fake messages generator for more utilitarian pictures

If you are making a harem story and want pretty girls that don't look like porn stars (but are still pretty unrealistic), you can always go to https://www.reddit.com/r/PrettyGirls/

Lastly, there are people are pretty anal about using pictures on a quasi-porn site so know your audience.

You mean in the sense they are mildly opposed?
    Think I'm one of those:rolleyes:
I'm just of the opinion that a bad picture can do more harm to a story than the good done by a nice one.
Still, I like to have a good cover image.
    Thanks for sharing.;)

If you use pictures of real persons, I'd recommend only using ones where you can expect that the depicted persons are fine with being shown in an erotic/porn context.

Not everyone might like to end up as jerk-off material.

    Hmmm...
I've never really considered this, I mean, when I choose a picture that's usually of a real person, of course, but it's not like I have even the slightest idea of who is it, 99.99% of the times.
It's a picture easy obtainable over the internet, non some personal file.
That said, I usually cut the pictures so that faces aren't visible, I hope that's enough.

What about all those celeb pics and fakes?

  15. gene.sis

    gene.sis CHYOA Guru

Well, that's mainly my personal opinion. And if the faces aren't visible, it is a completely different thing. (Though everyone is responsible for what they do, even on the internet.)

Celebs are public persons, so they might be kind of used to such things. (After all, there are a lot of stories using celeb names.)
Pictures of normal persons might have been posted on social media sites, so they are kind of personal.
