She gives a bright smile. "Thank you, sister, I'll be performing for Lord Sengoku tomorrow, so the praise is reassuring. I assume you're one of the new applicants? Did you have questions? I'm happy to answer. We concubines should always help one another."

"Would you drink some tea with me in my room? I have a couple of questions." She asked as she grabbed the woman under her arm and started leading her to her room - if she agreed.

"Oh my, a concubine performing for someone other than the Emperor?" Kina asked faking surprise. She was pretty sure, that was the moment the ninja would strike. "I didn't know it was allowed."

Midori doesn't have any trouble on her way out, leaving the main house. Yatsebe walks with her, chittering happily, when Midori notices eyes on her. The lady of Clan Terada, distinctive with her mixed ethnicity, gives Midori a curious look as she walks past, a trail of handmaidens and guards behind her.

The lady doesn't stop Midori, and she reaches the front gate of the compound.

"Hah! Guess you don't socialize enough, eh? I'm known as the black widow, or "flame haired beauty" in Santila. Either way, I kill people for fun. So yes, I will be using it. Quite a lot if it proves effective." Kyouka replied proudly, sharing her nicknames shamelessly.

The woman smiles and nods, walking with the fake concubine. "Of course, I seldom say no to tea. Oh, yes, if the emperor commands it, we sometimes serve others. Our bodies belong to his highness alone, but we will entertain the important figures of the realm with our poetry, discussion and dances."

Midori politely nodded to the lady as the two passed each other. So that is the wife of the clan patriarch///

Once they were at the front gates Midori looked at Yatsebe. “Well, I guess I will see you later, Yatsebe. Thank you for the enjoyable time.” She gave the samurai a quick platonic hug and watched her go back inside, then looked at the sky to check the time.

"The Black Widow?" His eyes go wide. "I see... In that case, if you were to swear to use this firearm boldly, and proclaim the name of its maker, I would be willing to loan it to you indefinitely, or until you stop killing people." He tosses the gun he was holding up across the room, landing with a crash. "That was a decent piece, but I'll grab you something more suitable."

He heads into the back, returning with another double barreled gun that looks identical to the first, and a bad filled with small lead balls. "Here you are. You shall be a living advertisement for the Horatio manufacturing works. May you slaughter hundreds with it." He hands her the weapon and its ammunition.

Looking at the sky, she sees that it's still a few hours from sundown, in the late afternoon.

The diminuitive gunsmith heads into the back once more, returning with a holster. Without waiting for permission, he straps it around her thigh. The weapon fits perfectly.

"Mmh." Giving out a playful moan as Horatio nonchalantly touches her thigh, Kyouka grins as the weapon fits perfectly in it. "Good. Should be easier to draw it like that." She hums.

'It's impressive set of armour, but I have no real use for it,' Jian said, 'Do you want to try it, Chitsu? Or maybe give it as a gift to aunt Midori or someone else important in the family?'

"Hmm. Probably some horny bastard that wants to duel me for a chance to fuck." Kyouka hums, "Don't worry, I'll make sure to do it in public. Though, maybe etching your company's name on the gun might be a good idea. I'm not one to shout the name of my weapons after all."

By the fading sunlight, and later by candlelight, Midori pours over the books she purchased in the store. She finds that Alessandra didn't rip her off, and by the time Yuki stumbles back into the room, yawning after a day of work, Midori has learned the spells, at least to a basic degree. To gain mastery, she'll have to use the spells in practice, but for now she's confident that she can use them.
