Heading forwards, James sees another dead guard before coming to look to the ground floor. More gunshots sound from behind some oaken double doors, and a man clad in black comes flying through them, shouting. He lands hard on his back, before something reaches out of the darkness to drag him back into the room. In the darkness, they hear the man scream in terror and pain.
'I've got a hunch Erin might be that way,' James said, pointing at the double doors. He looked for an alternative way into that room while they approached that side of the gallery on the second level.
Alicia mutters a quick phrase to loosen the grip on her gun for a moment so she can make a waving motion with her hands, using her abilities to generate some glowing spheres of light to push back against the shadows a bit and while not entirely removing them, it would give her a chance to actually get a look at her envrioment and hurt whatever creature this was, ‘s ability to hide if she was actually able to see it coming, likely forcing it to stick to the darkest corners that still remains, but becoming much easier to predict in that case.
