I'm working on a sci-fi story about an alien race invading earth. I've got two types of invaders picked out already (slimes and illithids/mind flayers) and I want to add a third. The best I can think of are futa-amazons but that might be too boring compared to the others. Thoughts? Suggestions?
Something with tentacles would go over well, but that ground might already be covered with what you've got. In my experience, mind flayers and slimes (in DnD at least) don't tend to be very organised. You could easily fill this hole with the futa-amazons if they behaved like the cruel military of a dictatorship. I guess the problem is that futas are comparatively oversaturated on CHYOA, so you need something extra, but that doesn't mean the idea won't work. Does it necessarily need to be a race that manifests itself physically? If you want something creative that stands out, you could maybe use something like a parasite that possesses the bodies of humans. A little similar to mind flayers, depending on how you portray the flayers, but instead of the humans becoming subservient, they're actually members of the alien race. Depending on how far you're willing to bend the definition of 'alien', a race of sentient robots/androids/cyborgs would be interesting. That would open the gates for body modification, genderswapping, futa etc. since you basically only need to bolt on whatever genitals desired. Alien vampires would also work, and fit thematically well with slimes and mind flayers (in the sense that they're DnD-esque).
The Blob, the Squid People and The Wookies. (Now that's a progressive punk band name if I've ever heard one) For some reason, I just find the idea of one of the most beloved SF franchise iconic aliens as a horny alien invader surprisingly funny. "Because Slimes don't knot you for hours if you resist them... Wookies are known to do that..." (I will happily dance on Star Wars' grave at this point.)
How about a race that seems like a third, human-friendly option but they've got their own sinister goals like enslaving humanity? They could be something that looks humanish but they actually have a hidden form, like maybe a reptilian real form (if you wanna go tropey). However as long as you do a sci-fi twist I don't think futa is too boring. Throw some blue alien skin pigmentation or mild gigantism on there and bam!
Some sort of doppelganger is the first thing that comes to mind. It seems like that'd be a race that could 'fill in the blanks' but I'd guess it all depends on the type of scenes you want to write.
Something to think about is whether you want to associate an alien with a particular kink or fetish. Death by snu snu!
Well, if you want to go for originality, it could go further down the horror genre. Like something that is naturally repulsive to humans like insects. Then you could have al sorts of strange fu things aping, like ovipositing, exploding dick (inspired by the bee kingdom where the male explodes upon ejaculation leaving his penis stuck in their reproductive tracts of the queen bee to stop them from reproducin There's also the typical mating feature in the insect kingdom to keep mating for days or weeks on end in order to stave off competition that way. But that might be more the mind flayer's thing? You could also draw inspiration from scorpion flies. (chef them out they look really cool) Who have a hole hierarchy where they present the female with a juicy prise, the female will then judge their prise and accord a specific time of fucking which is appropriate for the offered prise. Weaker males, not being able to catch a poise worthy to enter the competition on their own will pretend to be females in order for jock males to present a prise to them. After a bit of fondling they'll make off with the present to present it to a female. I'm sure there are plenty of ways to make a smutty alien culture using that. Make them all futas with a hierarchy could also be interesting. I think "Insertnameshere"'s point about having an organised alien species is a really good one too and an insect can be easily made to have unorganised culture. Making them all be futas and adding anthropomorphic qualities to them say they have a pair (or multiple pairs of flashy breast underneath their exoskeleton which can be folded away like some ind of futuristic armour. Maybe you could give them really exotic dicks too, like the dragon fly has a really long dick with moving bristles and a bulbous inflatable tip. Don't know how deep you want to go into the plot stuff, but you could also add a twist that in spite of the insect species repulsiveness to humans, they may be the least disruptive to the human's continued existence on earth. Just lobbing out ideas.
I have been always intrigued by the Asari race from the Mass Effect franchise. Basically a female-only race whose appearance is molded every time upon the likings of their partner. I really like the concept and I look forward to add it in some form in one of my stories, sooner or later. It will work perfectly in a fantasy setting too. Originally the Asari are a lawful/good aligned race, so to say, but I think they would turn out as great villians as well. You know, looks can be decieving Also, if it suits your tastes better, I think some kind of retractable penis would fit in the bundle pretty well.
I believe the author intends to have these aliens invade planet Earth so they should pass the Harkness Test. Well, I can't see how they can invent long distance space travel and fail it.
I get this horrible feeling that most of my posts are replies saying "Yeah, that should be okay" and gene.sis going:
Have you considered gremlins? They're supposed to be pretty good at destroying machinery. So organised groups of them could work towards something akin to evil dwarves or something. You can give them big dicks if that helps
Taking inspiration from Destroy All Humans, you could make your aliens completely sexless, and they've invaded for either A) to observe humans and their mating rituals, or B) to incorporate themselves/humanity with DNA, genesplicing for gen 1, in order to be able replicate or cultivate the ability to reproduce. Design-wise, I'm thinking Greys but like really stretched out versions.
