It became better in my opinion, focusing on the cousins bantering and already introducing their not-so-friendly relationship. I was able to think a bit more about Cretan_Bull14's scene that he posted a few posts back, and it gave me an idea. I don't know if I'll do this yet, but, in the rewrite, maybe Zack's half of the gang and Brandon's half might not be as close as they were on the original version. I'm thinking something like, Zack knows Ashley through Hannah and Victoria because of the school's newspaper (decided to put Vicky there instead of being president of the student council, it fits her character better, since she likes mysteries), and Gavin knows Victoria because of being partners on chemistry class. Zack might still be dating Lisa even, but with his eyes on Vicky for some time now; they will break up before the trip, though. Then, Brandon meets Zack at the tutoring sessions and manages to do well at the test, prompting Ashley and Heather to have the idea of inviting Zack to the trip, maybe with the intention of pushing him on Victoria. Zack then asks if he can invite two more people (Chloe and Gavin). Brandon gets pissed at not being the only male on the trip anymore (he might be the character with the most changes from the original version, the more I look at him, the more I see him as a potential villain).
I can see that working. Another possibility for the Z/C/G angle, Z wants to accept but he already has plans to go camping with C/G and doesn't want to break them so H extends the invitation to them. Yeah, I got caught up with A being the trigger for H to suddenly plot to use B when in reality H being who she is would have already been thinking it. That allowed me to put the H/K fight back in the car where I wanted it. Decide to keep the bit about their great grandma being buried on the property. Already created the backstory and have a nice H/Z scene planned where she's talking about the area and thinking about trying to make a play at keeping Z.
I thought about Zack saying they had planned to spend the entire week together, doing homework, movie marathons, playing video-games, etc. Then Heather would make her counter-offer of inviting Chloe and Gavin as well.
Ok, the prologue I was planning turned into a longer mini story in my head, so it'll be some time before they actually go to the cabin on the rewrite. I've already started writing it, and I think I'll be able to post something during the weekend.

Another thing I've decided, I'll post the rewrite as a separate story, for two reasons. First, the Story Map for At The Cabin is already huge, and the new story will be quite big, and second, the Cabin part of the story will be just a week of the characters' lives, there'll be a lot of events both before and after the cabin, so it'd make more sense if the new story had a different title, one with a larger scope, it'll probably be "Azure Rocks Chronicles". Of course, the current story will stay up and running for everyone who wants to add a thread to it, the new story will be just another option, like Tales of Silver Lake was.

I need some help. i want the characters to do a photo-scavenger hunt, mostly b/c it gives me an excuse to pair up people and develop relationships. but, I need ideas for what should be on the list. all help appreciated. An addendum: I'm good with some sexy ideas, but nothing super kinky. still keeping it tame at this stage
I want to apologize to everyone. My attention has been elsewhere dealing with a family matter. I won't bore you with the details but it has and still is taking up a lot of my time and attention. Outline as I get time; Gavin (thread title) Victoria (as yet untitled) Chloe (untitled, kiss scene) Brandon (untitled) Ashley/Brandon (maybe 2 threads) Heather/Zack (maybe 2 threads) Kurt Day two start Henrytemp, Photo hunts are easier to do in a city. But you want ideas, couple kissing under a waterfall, fish, bird, a fork in the road, flowers, fairy circles, natural bridge, moon, rainbow, deer, ranger/ranger station, other campers, beaver, nest, trail nuts. Some of those ideas could be interested in different ways.
Just from the threads' characters, I can tell it's going to be an interesting sequence, umbra. As for henrytemp's scavenger hunt, I think umbra already mentioned all the good spots. You said you didn't want anything super kinky, so here's something just a little bit kinky, lol: maybe one of the things they have to photograph is a guy receiving a handjob/blowjob from a girl, and since they're not able to find it, the pairs have the idea to produce the picture themselves, that is, the ones that are willing to.
I guess a lot of the input I need is sites at the park. Waterfall, cave for sure. the lake they swim in. but looking for other sites I may have missed. at the same time, particular pic ideas also appreciated. the idea of a handjob recreated, I like that. especially since I think "catching a couple in the act" has to be on my list somehow

A really good suggestion, to find odd or unique places. Liked the idea about them dropping off clothes as the heat rises as well. Come back whenever you want, Patzo, it's always good to see everyone back here.
Thanks duskford. I'm gonna try to get up the next orgy thread by the weekend, fingers crossed. I just thought of another notable site. I'm too lazy to look for it right now, but isn't it mentioned on someone's thread there's a plane graveyard near Silver Lake? It's a bit of a stretch to have an entire graveyard, but one crashed plane might work. It was there before Silver Lake was made a protected area, half-buried in earth, trees are growing through it, animals use it for shelter, and at the time everyone decided it'd be worse to dig it out than to leave it there. Maybe the gang has to find it and take pictures of themselves in the cockpit.
Cretan_Bull14 had an abandoned air base somewhere in the park, with a few unused planes lying around it.
Been back in the writing groove and wanted to share kind of my outline for my main thread day 2. Going to wrap up my Kurt-Chloe arc. I plan to maybe write some one-off type scenes between them after that either as a branch off of my thread or off of another thread. The morning will see some characters having fun down around the lake and the afternoon will be the photo scavenger hunt. Finally my main thread will see it's first actual full sex scene at some point during day 2, though I won't spoil who it will involve. Also posted my first scene in a non-duskford story- school vacation in rome. bumping it up has already inspired some other posts which I'm glad to see as I liked the setup but story had been dormant since April
This scavenger hunt has all the potential to be a great scene for all the pairs involved! Looking forward to see what they'll have to find. School Vacation in Rome is a good story, added a lot of threads there as well.
I know the pairings I want for the scavenger hunt but will post it in a way others can choose different pairings and such if they choose to do their own thing.
